How the hell can they offer HRMC and local business and charities 20p in the pound one minute then try and keep hold of an England international keeper the next?!? Cheating skate ****s. I'm sure the chairmen of every other Championship side - who can't afford an England international goal keeper - will be well chuffed reading about pompey's plans.
-
The value of players is not a reason why they cannot be liquidated then is it. they could sell their entire squad then liquidate a day later, then they could blow off their football debt and avoid paying future liabilities like players wages on the players they cannot sell.
-
I don't get that, surely the administrator can sell any assets he wants before going into liquidation, didn't our administrator sell Surman?
-
If they had chose Southampton as a venue I would care, but they didn't so I couldn't care if Russia hosted it. Will save us wasting money on pointless white elephant stadiums in Plymouth, Milton Keynes and Bristol, ****ing dumb idea.
-
CVA is looking the most likely option but it's so complex I can see it dragging out and them getting a points deduction similar to Leeds who also had a CVA agreed. I would be amazed if the other clubs let them get away with it, it's in all the other Championship club's interests to have them docked points, people like Ken Bates will be desperate to see fair punishment handed out.

I'm surprised at the size of he cull but I see it as a positive, players like James and Lancashire would have done a job but it looks like were aiming higher than that, we will be looking to sign players who can do a job in the Championship. Should be an interesting summer.

Surprised at Lloyd James going, think that might prove to be a mistake.

You've got that right, our rabbit chewed the **** out of my BT broadband, ended talking to some IT muppet in India, needless to say "rabbit chewed router" didn't exist on his flow chart and I ended up caught in a perpetual loop on their phone system so just cancelled the lot.
-
I refuse to speak to indian call centres out of principle.

Because gossip and speculation by the Echo is so wrong, but speculating on gossip on here is cool.
-
This whole thing is a storm in a tea cup, the Echo have the right to report what they want, le Tiss and Big Mac have every right to comment on speculation and Cortese can say what he likes - it just doesn't really matter. One thing though, if Cortese is serious about getting us to the prem then he had better get used to press specualtion, at the moment he hasn't experiences 1% of what Lowe had to go through and he never banned the Echo once.
-
It should be up to the newspaper to decide what it thinks is fact, not the football club.
-
No one is disputing that Cortese is doing a good job, or that his statement is good and very welcome. There is nothing wrong with taking issue over his pop at some Saints legends though.
-
The Echo will print Saints stories regardless of what Cortese does, if the club cut off communications then the Echo will just print more rumour and speculation. A good relationship is helpfull for both parties. I would rather have a local paper that was free to print what it wants than have one that's just a mouth piece for the club.
-
I don't buy the Echo because it's full of boring local ****e, but Cortese needs to understand that it's their job to sell papers. They are going to print rumour and speculation if thats what they think their readers will want to read - no amount of jumping up and down by Cortese will change that.
-
I couldn't give a monkeys wether I could buy a programme of not but pulling it without giving a reason would obviously cause speculation. Now if Cortese doesn't have time or chooses not to comment on speculation that's fair enough, but to have a pop at Saints legends for doing so is wrong IMO.
-
He obviously spends alot of his time reading every piece of wild speculation. And it doesn't take much time to set the record straight on things. For example if they bothered to tell us why the programme was pulled it would stop alot of speculation.
-
Nothing wrong in commenting on speculation, if the communication from the club was clearer (NC's job) there wouldn't be any to comment on.

What did MLT and Lawrie say that was so wrong?

What did MLT, Lawrie n co say that was so bad?

Police wary of trouble for Bournemouth game
aintforever replied to warsash saint's topic in The Saints
The police will want to big it up so they can get **** loads in over-time, then bang on about what a successful operation it was afterwards when nothing happens. -
Excellent statement, but NC should stop worrying about pundits making comments and papers writing stories because that is not ever going to change. Pundits and reporters have jobs to do - just accept it.

I like the gold trim and the dates but wouldn't have replaced the football with a snooker ball.

There's not going to be a meeting tomorrow, and nothing will happen, it's just Radio Solent trying to get people to listen to their sh!t radio station.

They have to be punished for the way they have manipulated the system, the same way Leeds did. They have basically engineered the situation so that only Chanrai or Gaydamak could possibly buy the club. Now they have creditors over a barrel because the only way they can get any of their money is if PFC survives to get the parachutes. The people who caused all the debt are calling all the shots and will ultimately make more money out of it. I will be amazed if the FL don't throw the book at them, cheating ****s.
