  1. I see the filth are busy at the moment then. That's 3 and a half months now that PC Plod has been sat there watching CCTV footage eating donuts at tax payer's expense. The guys in the pics are obviously idiots, but worse things happen every Saturday night than a bit of fence shaking. I hope the old bill are as thorough next time I have something nicked from my car.
  2. Waigo's last gasp equalizer against Norwich.
  3. Brown did what any government would have done because the banks basically put a gun to his head. There is nothing to say we will not have a 1930's type depression, all we have done so far is borrowed and printed money, the economy is bound to LOOK like it's recovering.
  4. Nice crystal ball you have there, should have lent it to Brown before he flogged all our gold for a fraction of it's worth.
  5. They can claim to be more accurate but no matter how complex their system it all boils down to wether the person votes for who they say they will, or more importantly, will the person who says they prefer Tory/Labour/Lib Dem, actually get off their ass and walk down the polling station. When it comes to the day it will probably be a simple choice between voting for a hung parliament or a Conservative government. That could mean many people vote differently to who they polled as favouring. The proof is in the pudding, if the Tories win on Thursday then we will know the polls are completely pointless.
  6. Leeds are up there with the biggest clubs, easily as big as Chelsea or Spurs, just not as good at the moment. I would say Saints are in the middle bracket with teams like Norwich, Charlton, Leicester and Derby.
  7. The polls were completely wrong in 1992 and they are just as meaningless now. It will be interesting to see how it pans out, was major's victory because voters tended to side with "the devil they know" or because the Tories have quite good support when they get their act together? I think a rise in the Lib Dem vote will only come at the expense of Labour and I can see the Tories winning seats all over the place even without hugely increasing their own vote.
  8. Wasn't it Brown's idea for Lloyds to takeover HBOS, creating a really really big bank?
  9. It's still too early to say if it's been a success. Short term it was definitely the right thing to do but long term we could just be making things worse IMO. The ecomomy is ****ged, the banks are still paying out billions in bonuses and playing roulette with our money. Brown has just borrowed a fortune and printed more money - not exactly the work of a genius. We can say it's been a success when we've paid of our debt and sorted banks out, at the moment Brown has not even tried to do either.
  10. It's impossible to say wether it's the right call at the moment, the economy is still in a world of sh!t and we have a similar national debt to Geece.
  11. Do Norway pay the EU £13.7 billion for it's services?
  12. Switzerland and Norway are not in the EU, are they ****ed then?
  13. A quick look over that site and you realise what a deluded bunch of morons they are. It's full of comments like "I hope we keep hold of David James next year". The thick ****s just don't get it, in a few months time they will be one of the smaller Championship clubs, their parachutes will already be handed out to creditors and they will probably be on -17 points. S****horpe will be a more attractive club to play for then them. I can't wait for next season to start, watching reality kick in on them ****s will be priceless.
  14. How many reasons can there be for blowing 2 grand of our cash on a couple of chairs?
  15. I think the biggest scandal is not how a few broke the rules and were found guilty by the Legg inquiry but how the majority used the inept rules to take the ****... "he spent £2,479 on two chairs and a rug from John Lewis"
  16. The greed of football disgusts me, you have small clubs struggling and going bust all over the place and the ONLY thing each club are bothered about is lining their own pockets. The people to blame are the FA, PL and FL, all corrupt greedy self serving organisations. All they care about is Sky TV's cash. At the moment we're not greatly effected because we have a rich backer but I would hate to see a league so distorted by money so it becomes a complete farce. Kill the romance in football and the game will quickly lose it's appeal.
  17. To be fair Damen, the "saviours" thing was just a reaction to the nob head AFCB fans who gave us attitude when we went down there. Noone really cares about Bournemouth, very small club, generally viewed by Saints fans like Eastleigh, Bashley etc are.
  18. Looks like the Football League are going to be bullied into accepting the new larger parachute payments... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8652535.stm Greedy Premier League ****s, the game is being ruined enough as it is, these parachutes will just move the ceiling down and kill all hope for smaller League 1 & 2 sides. Kiss goodbye to fair competition for good. Good news for the skates' creditors, I don't know if the hostility between the PL and FL is too good for the Blue Few though, you can see the FL throwing the book at them just to prove a point.
  19. My opinions are mainly based on facts I've heard from people who work in the public sector - most of these people admit that loads is wasted. And first hand experience of dealing with contracts for the business I work in.
  20. I'm sorry but I've heard countless horror stories from people who work in the public sector, and in my business have experienced the public sector "blank cheque" culture. I know public sector workers who have been sent on pointless courses at tax payers expense, employees with over 40 days holiday a year, contracts given out by the public sector that my mates said they could "just make up a price". Just had a look on the Echo site and a bloke fell off his bike hurting his head and Four police cars and six police officers were on the scene! - all very nice and reassuring, but all paid for by you and me. The public sector need to wake up and realise that severe cuts need to be made, the whole attitude is one of wastage and completely alien to anyone who works in the real commercial world.
  21. I think the Lib Dems have got it right on tax, we need to heavily tax the rich and have no tax for the first 10K to reward people who get off their ass and do low paid jobs instead of sitting around getting benefits. I think the Tories have got it right in making scything cuts in public services but would never vote for them because they are essentially a bunch of snobs whose only concern is keeping hold of their stacks of cash.
  22. Didn't watch all of it because footie was on but from what I did see I thought Cameron came out best. In theory Brown should have come out tops but when it comes to the economy the tories do tend to sound more business orientated IMO. Brown seems to think the economy is all about pumping millions of cash we havn't got into inefficient public services. I think all that is doing is making things much worse later on, we need efficiency savings everywhere, the same rules should apply to public services as what apply to private business.
  23. True but music of white origin is excluded purely because of the colour of skin of the people who created it.
