The problem with that is that many of the current Chapel/Kingsland sit down and be quiet types will stay where they are, as will many of the Northamers. you will just end up with people getting annoyed with each other over the stand up sit down issue and with no vocal area because the whole ground will be watered down with displaced silent Chapel standers. Leave it as it is, a whole load of fuss for no reason.

That's what I keep saying, there will always be a football club in Portsmouth of some sort. That's quite clearly complete ******, anyone who knows anything about football knows that there is a fierce rivalry between Saints and Pompey. Because of the size of the clubs it's never going to be the biggest but the nature of the two cities and the rareness of the fixture does make it fiercer than many. I didn't see any trouble on Saturday though, all this reporting by the BBC is just sensationalist nonsense, a few things were thrown thats all. The only person injured was by a police dog.

The thing is you are the perfect example of why the fans deserve to have their club liquidated as much as the idiots/crooks who have been running it. There was a guy who dressed up as a Saints version of W******d for the away game a few years back. Looked funny, had a large inflatable fish stuck on the top of his hat. The really funny thing was that by the time the train pulled into fratton he had completely **** himself, covered himself up with a big coat and gave the fish to his girlfriend.

I think the News of The World have got it spot on that, for the good of football, Pompey should not be helped out by the FA. Even if it throws the league into chaos and doesn't help the brand's image short term, if the league wants to retain any integrity it can't be seen to pander to cheats. Pompey should be used as a warning to all the other clubs and an example should be made. I expect the pickey ****s will somehow wriggle out of this somehow though, doing the right thing has rarely been a concern of the PL.

They played well and with a bit of luck we could have won today, we needed to get the first goal. As soon as the game opened up their pace killed us. I thought taking Papa off for Barnard just made things worse.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the PL would not let one of their clubs go into administration but take control of the club's finances themselves. There would have to be the same sort of points penalty involved though I would imagine. I expect the only reason clubs like Bolton and Hull are not kicking up a fuss at the moment is because pompey are pretty much nailed on for relegation anyway. It's not in any club's interest to have the book thrown at pompey because they will set a precedent, Hull or Bolton could easily be in a similar situation soon so would want as much help as possible. if by some miracle pompey get themselves in a position where it looks like they might stay up I reckon the attitude of the PL will change big time.
