  1. Would have been nice but would have been a lot of fuss for at the most 3 games, unless we are doing OK in the Prem a 40,000 seater would just be a waste of money. I couldn't give a monkeys if the World Cup comes to England or not, tickets would be so expensive I would probably only watch it all on TV anyway, might as well be in Russia for all I care.
  2. Should just be killed, at the very least he was a collaborator.
  3. The league is obviously the most important, as long as there is a slight chance of reaching he playoffs we should make that our priority. After that, the JPT is way more important than the FA Cup, we actually have a chance to put a shiny thing in our pathetic looking cabinet. If players need resting (and it sometimes does make sense to rest players as ALL the top managers prove) do it in our FA Cup games because we can't win it.
  4. We are not going to win the FA Cup, I would rather go out with a bang in the 3rd round than play more pointless matches picking up injuries and suspensions along the way.
  5. For a lot of people football is about having a laugh with their mates, the blokes kicking a ball around in a field is just part of the fun.
  6. Yeah, still a total goon.
  7. Having a beer with your mates is way more enjoyable than watching some of the **** we've been dished up at St Marys in recent seasons.
  8. Arsenal away - would be great to see the stadium.
  9. To be fair the Keegan kit is red and white stripes, just two really thick ones.
  10. Guided Missile posts a wind up and Nineteen Canteen is the only one who agrees it's a good idea.
  11. Blair - he killed more people.
  12. Can only work if both clubs are in the same city, a shared "Solent" stadium built in Park Gate would be equally as unpopular with skates as it would Saints fans, it would only have to have a 10,000 capacity.
  13. Population means **** all if there is little interest in football, they have the same population now yet still get half of what we get despite being a league higher. Saints would struggle to fill a 40K stadium, it would fill for probably the big 4 plus maybe Spurs. Bristol or Plymouth - no way. Big cities - footballing minnows
  14. Closer, yet still with half the crowds. They would all look daft in a 40K stadium even in the Prem, Plymouth get 10K FFS.
  15. Looks like we've missed the boat, it would have been nice but at the end of the day it's just a couple of games of footie. I'm trying to work out what Bristol or Plymouth are going to use a 40K stadium for after the 1 or 2 World cup games have been played. The average attendance of Plymouth, Bristol City and Rovers combined doesn't even come close to filling a 40K stadium.
  16. Typical of Southampton Council to **** things up. You would have thought they could have expressed an interest dependent on the outcome of the club's administration.
  17. All the people running the enquiry have been hand picked by the government so it will just be a complete whitewash. Blair deserves to be tried for war crimes for the way he spun us into an illegal war, the years of sanctions meant Iraq had next to no military capability at all, they were a million miles away from having WMDs and were no threat to us at all. I would be happy to see Blair suffer the same fate as Saddam for what he did.
  18. I wouldn't put money on it, check the next month's fixtures... Man Utd H Burnley H Sunderland A Chelsea A Liverpool H West Ham A Arsenal H
  19. Surely the details of his loan contract are just between Saints and Preston? Under FA rules he was eligible to play on saturday before his ban.
  20. Who else was on 4 yellows?
  21. That's a surprise!
  22. Maybe we could merge with the Portsmouth bid, we supply the World class stadia, 5 star hotels and airport, they provide a location for the Romanian and Irish fans to park their caravans.
  23. Why would Bristol want a 40,000 seater stadium? Bristol City average 14,413 in the Championship, Rovers average 7,426. Merge them together to form Bristol United and they be the size of us in League 1. Unless they have a really popular Rugby team a 40K stadium in Bristol would be pointless. As for Plymouth, thats a joke.
  24. I can't decide if this is good or bad news, considering what he's had to work with Hart couldn't have done alot more, there's a chance he's been working miracles just to get to 7 points and they will now capitulate. Looks like a panic decision to me, they don't have anything to lose by giving somone else a go because at the moment they look doomed. I can't see anyone decent touching that job with a barge pole.
  25. Whilst I think his views on the science is complete nonsense, I fear he is depressingly accurate about the attitude of the politicians. They can't even agree on a target let alone meet a target. If the scientists are right then we, as a country, should focus on adapting to whatever changes will happen, thanks mainly to the US and China. Lord Lawson makes me want to puke when he mentions winners and losers, he knows full well that if what is predicted does happen then millions of people in Africa and Asia who rely on subsistence farming will probably die.
