Quite right. Let`s just keep our fingers crossed!

League One didn`t scare Leicester this season, and they would be considered a big scalp I suspect.
-
Bloody Hell! You`re sticking you neck out!
-
TBF it was almost a throwaway line at the end of the report about Saturday so it may not have a direct quote from Fry. It may have been journalist-speak. Bottom line is that we won`t really know until it all unfolds.

Well being a "glass half full" sort of person, I am assuming that as the club is liable to go out of existence within the next few days, a new buyer would be rescueing us. Wouldn`t he? Probably just a turn of phrase...probably.....I expect.....isn`t it?
-
Yes but these denials are all about Tom Scott, not Lowe.

Blimey! I would hate to be the same room as you and Alpine. I`d end up slitting my wrists. And I`m supposed to be a miserableoldgit!

These were the words used on the programme.

Just mentioned on South Today that Mark Fry hopes to take a rescue package to the FL by the end of this week.

This is the problem for Crouch though. Damned if you do and damned if you don`t. If he had just walked away like he didn`t care he would be crucified, but because has stayed and appealing to fans , he is being, well......crucified.

Totally agree, but it was strange on Saturday. I sit in the Kingsland on the halfway line and although it was an emotional day, I didn`t detect any feelings of "nastiness". It was only when the police came on with the dogs that the feeling changed. I am not condoning the pitch invasion etc but I seriously wonder if the police preparations for this game and the "dog" decision were the right thing.

Interesting way of describing 1000`s of members of the general public.

Someone saying something positive about McMenemy shock:shock: Agree with you sentiments.

If that is the case then I whole-heartedly agree with you.

Mike Jones - Saturday's ref to exagerate pitch invasion?
miserableoldgit replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I agree. In fact Wotte said that the team wanted to come out and applaud the fans for the fantastic support in what has been a nightmare of a season. -
Obviously.

I heard from a fairly reliable source that "Crouch and one other" paid for Davies` transfer fee. Could well be the case. I am not arguing that Crouch hasn`t put a fair bit of his money into the club, and fair play to him for that, but we are, what, £30M in debt? I think that the amount that he put in pales into insignificance when compared to the debt which he is partly responsible for. As far as I am concerened, Lowe, Wilde and Crouch hold a degree of responsibility for the mess that we are in. It is the proportioning of that blame that is open to debate.

Hmmmm......... who has a better idea of what has really gone on at Saints - MLT or Roger?? Can you please explain how Leon has bankrolled the club? I am aware that he funded the Ted Bates statue, that he possibly helped fund Andrew Davies transfer, and that he has donated a fairly big amount to the current SOS Appeal, but I am not sure how he has bankrolled the Club.

FA to investigate a "reported missing £40m"
miserableoldgit replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
I agree with everything you say here, but what I don`t quite understand, is why HR decided to stay on after we were relegated when he could have walked away at the end of the relegation season. It was painfully obvious that he never really wanted to be here. I even remember that on the day that he was unveiled as our manager, whilst he was being photographed with a Saints scarf above his head, the snapper said to him "come on Harry, you can smile!" but he couldn`t bring himself to do it. -
Mike Jones - Saturday's ref to exagerate pitch invasion?
miserableoldgit replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
It was actually the Burnley players called for the Physio. The ref was totally useless and had no control for the whole game. David Armstrong on Radio Hants (not for the first time) stood up for the ref and reckoned that he got most decisions right! -
Speedway Emil Sajfutdinov becomes youngest ever winner in Speedway Grand Prix Russian teenager Emil Sajfutdinov announced his arrival on the Grand Prix stage by becoming the youngest ever winner in the opening round in Prague on Saturday. By Ben Findon Last Updated: 11:51AM BST 26 Apr 2009 Jubilant: Emil Sayfutdinov celebrates on the podium in Prague after winning the opening round of the Speedway Grand Prix Photo: AP In another threat to the established order, Swedish outsider Freddie Lindgren, who finished 10th in last year's rankings, was the leading points scorer of the night, though he was outfought by the 19-year-old Russian in the final. The Grand Prix has been dominated though this decade by Tony Rickardsson, Jason Crump and reigning world champion Nicki Pedersen and organisers have yearned for a more youthful challenge to add some much needed freshness and unpredictability to the rostrum. Now, it appears, the grand prix establishment have a true battle on their hands to maintain domination, while promoters suddenly have an exciting new product to promote at events such as the British Grand Prix in June. Sajfutdinov has the pedigree and back-up to maintain a serious challenge in the gruelling campaign ahead. He has won the world under-21 title for the past two seasons, is widely viewed as Continental Europe's most exciting talent and enjoys the mechanical guidance of Polish guru Tomas Suskiewicz, formerly a key component of Rickardsson's serial world-title winning team. The Russian's intentions were clear from the start in Prague's Marketa Stadium, where he opened up with a ferocious onslaught on Crump. Though he had to settle for second in that race, and ran a last place next time out, he then swept by Pedersen and Britain's Scott Nicholls for another second place before a heat win and a third gave him the final qualifying place for the semi-finals. There he picked himself up after a first bend tumble to lead home Leigh Adams and Pedersen, then fended off Lindgren in the final for his historic victory. Sajfutdinov said: "Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could win my first grand prix. I have dreamt of being a grand prix rider since winning my first world under-21 championship, but not winning a grand prix." Crump was third but at least had the consolation of arch-rival Pedersen failing to progress from the semi-finals. Yet this year's race could be more than just about the Australian and Danish titans. Crump said: "I never believed this year's grand prix was just between Nicki and me. There are some terrific youngsters coming through, just look at Emil." There was a low-key start for the British challenge. Chris Harris and Scott Nicholls both missed out on a place in the semis.

I got "aroused" once while watching Carol Vordeman. I was quite pleased. Well, it is 7 letters. -

I have already said this to some P**pey fans who were taking the **** - If it can happen to us it can happen to you!

TBF what it does say is that Tom Scott is not involved in any bid. It mentions the week-end reports linking Scott and Lowe but does not say that Lowe is not involved at all ...... worryingly!
