  1. He didn't have a great game but drop him? Are you mad? It is very important to the way we play that we have two centre halves who are comfortable with the ball at their feet. He was excellent vs Palace, too.
  2. Here we go! On my way to arguably the biggest saints game of the past five years. This is what football is all about, savour it!
  3. Hate to say it before such an important fixture but it has been almost 2 years since I saw us lose. Plymouth on the first day of last season, and I've been to 28 games since then.
  4. I was on the south island of NZ in 2009 before I went to uni. Its an incredible country, but I was there in June/July so it was pretty chilly, I imagine it is even better in the summer. Head to Queenstown for a bungee and the glaciers for a climb. You will love it. Good luck.
  5. We used to dominate game after game with that team but it didn't have a mean streak. Baird, Surman, Bale and Jones were, and are still, very good players. Also worth noting that Davis of 11/12 is much better than 06/07.
  6. They had one good chance at the end of the first half. The other one that they made out to be a sitter on the radio was not; Zaha pulled the ball across the goalmouth and Fonte casually knocked it past the onrushing striker who subsequently missed the ball. On the radio they somehow missed Fonte's very deliberate and controlled touch, concluding that it was a sitter. Yes, we were very comfortable for almost the entire game.

    Guly

I can report that he was angry with: a) Fonte for putting in a great cross that Chaplow almost got on the end of late on. b) Billy Sharp for taking a shot from 25 yards in the 93rd minute, which wasn't too far away. Strange man.

    The Midfield

Very strange you think Cork was that good, he gave the ball away cheaply several times and only ever looked to pass backwards. Granted, this was appropriate in the latter stages but I would hardly say he was our best player. Chaplow and Hammond played very well.

    Chaplow

Much, much better. I was hoping for a bit of the old Chaplow and he delivered.
  10. I was sat in block 37 and it was very loud apart from around 20 minutes in the second half when everyone was getting very frustrated with the game moving away from us. Amazing, absolutely amazing after the second goal.
  11. Looking forward to this despite today's events, which I have summarised here: http://notplayedonpaper.blogspot.co.uk/2012/04/oh-footballing-god-why-hast-thou.html

  13. Ah yes, I see now - 2007. I have been duped.
  14. Someone tell me this wasn't really in the programme! http://yfrog.com/ob2c5apj
  15. Come on lads! Big half coming up!
  16. No Rodriguez for Burnley. Should make WHU's task a little easier.
  17. Ever since that very dark day of Leicester at home we have been superb. Now to ram to advantage home this weekend!
  18. Good article. Not a one man team but his value to us cannot be underestimated. His build-up play is the thing that has improved the most in his time with us. Just look at that flick through to Sharp for penalty number 1 on saturday, absolutely superb! We are very lucky to have him and my doubts that he could make it in the Premiership evaporated many months ago.

    Texas Hold'Em

He is a very peculiar human being. Still gets his mates to cut his hair. Likes living here for student nights out, also shares a house in West London with a group of lads who all play poker. I have literally no reason to be making this up.

  21. Its alright lads, I just worked it out and I have us picking up another 17 points minimum from the remaining games. Surely 86 would do it!
  22. Are you thinking of a striker called Madsen? I'm 21, from Farnham in Surrey and supported Saints since my Dad got us season tickets when we moved to St Mary's. Currently in my final year at Nottingham Uni. Starting to write a Saints blog in my spare time. http://notplayedonpaper.blogspot.com/

    Texas Hold'Em

Yep sounds about right. He made over 150k last year and is now playing higher stakes than before, leading to bigger swings day to day but also his best ever month last month. He reckons he's in the top 15 online players in the UK, hence why he has quit uni.

    Texas Hold'Em

My housemate (also a student) makes between 5-15k a month playing online, around five hours a day. Plus he will get around 120k of 'rakeback' at the end of the year. If you are sensible and know what you are doing you can make a very good living.
