  1. Reading did a great job on us, didn't let us settle and play at all. That said they didn't create all that much themselves. De Ridder and Guly have grabbed us a point with that great goal, although I wanted Guly off well before that.
  2. Davis - 8 Richardson 7 Fonte 6.5 Hooiveld 7.5 Fox 8 Guly 4.5 Cork 5 Hammond 5 Chaplow 8 Lambert 7 Connolly 5.5 Martin 7 De Ridder 8.5
  3. Ah, I've been bested!
  4. Probably more to do with Fonte's error than Cork's.
  5. Great player, had a dodgy first 5 when he came on. End of.
  6. This was my reading of the game too. Very pleased we can mix it as well as pass the ball around.
  7. What has happened to Chaplow!?!? Last season I could have sworn I saw him giving the ball away every other pass and generally not adding that much. This season he is absolutely everywhere, playing within his limitations, passing the ball well and intelligently. Well done that man.
  8. Fonte, Chaplow and Jos. All superb.

  10. I was pretty convinced he had 'lost it' this time last year. How wrong I was, he has found a new level. Fantastic player and a great performance today, his link-up play is superb.
  11. Always rated Pardew, I was furious when he was sacked. Glad its worked out best for both parties.
  12. Taraabt's shooting is miles better to be fair.
  13. Big fan of Holmes, probably our best player in 08/09 season (not hard I know) before injury. Would like to see him get a run at some point, but with Guly, Lallana and de Ridder in front of him, he may not get a chance.
  14. Yes, I understand the general trend of Premier League teams attracting more fans than lower league teams. My point was that, arguably, there has been NO better time to watch this football club in the last 10 years (except perhaps 2003). If they aren't coming back to watch a young, motivated, exciting team, with a committed, talented manager, then I don't see what would attract them to, say, Stoke at home, in the Premiership. Will it be more exciting? Probably not. Will there be bigger names? Barely. Therein lies my confusion, do try not to be quite as patronising if you decide to reply.
  15. I don't understand the mentality of this lost 10k. Who are these people who won't come down to watch us when we are flying (and have been for almost a year), but will just as soon as we have the Premier League sticker on our shirt? Strange fans. I, too, am surprised we aren't getting 27-28k gates at this stage, its a fantastic time to support the club.

    Jos the Boss

Jos looked good, hopefully another astute Adkins signing.
  17. Connolly just beats Lallana for me.
  18. Adam Lallana masterclass. Again.
  19. Haven't seen Saints lose since Plymouth at home last season. 12 games and over a year ago. C'mon you reds!
  20. A few years ago I would have said Derby, but since Clough has taken over I have developed a soft spot for them, they have built up a squad, had a few tough years but now they seem to be getting their rewards. Now, Pompey and Brighton are top of my list.
  21. Fantastic player, epitomises everything that is good about SFC at the moment. Just needs some finishing practice and hes a periership player IMO
  22. Whatever Slide Away Supersonic
  23. We're signing another player, if not two, very soon, according to NA on saintsplayer.
  24. Watched 'The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford'. One of the best films I've ever seen.
