lol ... very funny though. Actually, Boyle made a good point about the comments when he said ... ... and since left Mock the Week as he felt it had got boring and that he was going through the motions.
-
Said "that, on account of her boyfriend being 'really attractive', she must be 'very dirty'."
-
Ah ... just found some further info here Rather confusing in terms of working out if these are 'new' comments but it appears he said "that the Olympic swimming champion resembled "someone who's looking at themselves in the back of a spoon"."

I keep reading the fallout surrounding Frankie Boyle's comments about Rebecca Adlington on Mock the Week and yet I can't remember what he's actually supposed to have said. She really seems to be milking it so I wonder if anyone can shed any further light on the subject. Apparently, "Panellist Frankie Boyle's remarks about the Olympic champion were "humiliating" and "risked offending the audience""

With jokes like that, time spent at sea must simply fly by. ;-)

If you look around the internet, lordswood is spoken about on quite a few websites amongst the mountain biking fraternity. Many people seem to have claimed to built a trail or obstacle up there at some point, but I think the general opinion is that the uni mountain biking club played a large part in it. They've certainly considered the area their local stamping ground in recent years anyway and seem to head up there fairly often. I must admit, I've not gone up there myself, although plenty of my friends have used it. When I ride, I prefer to cover some distance as opposed to just playing around on jumps etc, but I may take my wife up there soon to help her get used to her bike again.

I'm not getting at you on a personal level, it's just that every time Pearson passes a milestone with leicister, we have to put up with similar posts asking "why did we let him go". My opinion is that his success with leiciester doesn't make any difference, we had no choice and he would have failed at saints under the circumstances anwyay. Ultimatey, it's in the past and we're better off concentrating on the here and now.
-
So by your logic, Ferguson could have got a bunch of legless individuals to keep Saints in the Champ? That's the point I'm making ... other factors meant we would never have had a competitive team, so to lay our fate entirely at the departure of Pearson is irrational. FWIW, it's also pure conjecture as we shan't be turning the clocks back soon and you're better off getting behind the current team at St Marys when Brighton visit.

It was an over reaction on a grand scale though. From what my research has told me, the guy that provoked it is a member of the public who happens to 'follow' fry and fry 'follows' him. At some point this morning, the guy posted something like"i like stephen fry but some of his tweets are a bit boring". Fry retorted something like, "well yours don't cause me to expel bodily fluids either". The member of the public then said " well I must try harder to extract fluids in future" and then Fry started throing his toys out of his pram. Subsequently, Fry posted tweets to say he was quitting and blocked the other guy so the other guy couldn't then apologise even though he was getting flack by other twitter users for apparently provoking Fry. Are some taking thins too seriously or what?

So it seems that this sort of thing isn't confined to TSW... linky

it's true and some of us were saying so last week. However, there are some on here who are too ignorant to see that a system of play can still come in for criticism even if you win a particular game!

The load times are a pain. I've installed it to the hard drive which improves it a bit but it's still annoying to me. Troulbe is as well, because I got my xbox some time ago, I only have the 20gb hard drive and with all the Forza 3 stuff installed, I think I've used over 10gb already. Add to that the random system fils that always have to be saved on the hard drive, and I essentially don't have any significant space left. I've no intention of replacing the console and Microsoft's pricing on the official hard drives seems to be a little 'keen'. However, if publishers are going to keep putting out releases such as Forza 3 which use a large chunk of disc space, some thought needs to be given as to how gamers are going to be able to get round the issue as it essentially means I can only play one game for any period of time, e.g. I don't have the space to keep hold of multiple save game files across many other games. Rather worryingly, it perhaps rears the question again of whether Microsoft was right to stick with a DVD drive instead of bluray or HDDVD. If Forza 3 had fitted on one disk there would have been no need to install 5.8 gb worth of additional content in the first place!

But I'd really like your help. You see, I'm not even sure the sooper 4X4 you mention actually exists and it would be unfair for you to keep it all to yourself.
-
When will people realise that our fate did not solely depend on the departure of Pearson!?!?!? We had zero cash which meant zero playing prospects. We could have had Alex Ferguson at the helm and we still would have struggled. It's all in the past ... so just get over it and conentrate on the here and now.
-
I liked that bit the best... Delldays, could you please show me a 4X4 (and by this I assume you mean a Land Rover-esque vehicle, as opposed to a Fiat Panda 4X4) and a small car, where the 4X4 is "more economical" but the small car is taxed lower. I'm on the lookout for a new car so it woul help me enormously with my purchasing decision... Thanks

Ah ... the classic "foot locked in pedal" manouvre. Best executed when there's plenty of people to laugh at you as well. Been there a few times recently actually!

If you want to play around for an afternoon or get used to your bike, head up to Lordswood. If you deviate from any of the gravel paths, you can usually find some decent-ish singletrack through the woods. It's a popular destination for the university riding club and they, plus some others, have made varioud jumps and other obstacles in the past. They do just as regualrly keep getting dismantled by the authorities though. One word of warning, you can geta lot of kids from the estates hanging around in there or bombing through on their scooters. There have been reports of bike muggings as well so you take your chances! Once you want to do longer (half day / full day) rides, you need to head to the Winchester area, or towards Queen Elizabeth Country Park, or towards the Purbecks, or around Salisbury Plain. There's good stuff to the west of Winchester, around Farley Mount, and good stuff to the east, starting from Cheesefoot Head and roughly following the South Downs Way etc. There's plenty of info on the web though so have a good search. Here's one link with route ideas to start you off. There are books called Rough Ride Guide which do one of the local area with plenty of good rides in.

I'm a bit worried about missing Hammond to be honest. I hadn't realised he was injured actually, but I should have realised after seeing him doing recuperation work in the pool with Murty and Connolly the other day.

I have reported this post using the appropriate button as I believe it breaches forum rules. You have insulted Dell Days and it isn't very nice.
