  1. damn ... beat me to it. imagine the scene!
  2. On the Bocelli front, an Italian tour guide made me listen to a Bocelli CD whilst driving through the Tusan countryside back from Florence this summer. Bocelli is Tuscany's most famous son etc and it was pretty special driving through that beautiful place and listening to his songs. I usually hate that crap, but in that particular time and place, it was perfectly suited.
  3. Ignore that horrible drivel suggested by DellDays and stick the Pistols' 'God Save the Queen' on the player. Or 'London Calling', or 'Down in the Tube Station at Midnight'. They're the real songs about what it means to be a product of our shrivelled little isle.
  4. There shouldn't be THAT much of a difference in my opinion. Let's say your sat nav is right ... in that case you'd be getting done for exceeding the 70mph speed limit if you were following your car speedo!!! I'm guessing they're both a bit out. It's tradition for car speedos to be over so I guess your sat nav is under a little.
  5. Legally, you would have thought that there may be a case for compensation against additional expenses you have incurred as a result of your wrongful prosecution. You'd need details from your insurance company and I wouldn't be surprised if they made it difficult for you to get the info though.
  6. no longer available - refund coming from the kind folk at SMS.
  7. Since when did our political system involve electing a government who will then hold an election every time a significant decision has to be made?
  8. didn't screech make an 'adult' movie?
  9. yeh ok, i'll believe it when i see it thanks
  10. of course it's a fake. if you believe a plane can fly like that with one wing, you are more than gullible!
  11. Presumably you had to pay a wad for your phone in the first instance though seeing as it wasn't subsidised via your ihpone tariff.
  12. That's interesting because I can say that I've had contracts with all the networks except 3 and T-Mobile, and Orange were far and away the best in terms of both customer service and signal quality. With their recent T-Mobile acquisition, they will soon be the biggest UK network with a 37% market share. I would have thought that extra network capacity will come with that and the service will get even better. Whilst I wouldn't suggest you should believe everything you read in the media, the internet does seem to contain plenty of criticism of O2's 3g service, hence one of the reasons why I've held off signing up for an iphone with them.
  13. yeh.i found that thread too. Their response is, as you say, scandalous. The whole thing smacks of them dumbing the game, but what gets me is the fact that they presumably could have offered a matchmaking system alongside the old fashioned custom search. It's ridiculous that we now have a game spread across two dvds which needs to be installed to get acceptable load times, but we actually have less playability than its predecessor. If popular opinion went in favour of going back to FM2 multiplayer wise, I'd be there like a shot. That's how disappointed I am at the moment.
  14. That's right; that's what I alluded to above. But as you've alluded to yourself, it's a more planned and complicated procedure than just letting the game hook you up wth a load of people racing C class with all assists off etc.
  15. Two adjacent seats in block 41, row AA for sale for the forthcoming home game V Brighton on 15th November. Asking price is face value, i.e. £44 the pair. I'm not willing to sell either separately but I can deliver them to you personally as long as you're in the Southampton area. PM if interested/
  16. chuffin ell kev ... he's beautiful!
  17. john, i've just noticed this myself. I can't believe what they've gone and done. I used to tune a car in a particular category and go and race it with randoms from across the world. I can't do this any more! It's craziness
  18. Actually marco, he has a point about the multiplayer options. They have been significantly scaled down since Forza 2. Whereas previously you could search for a public lobby that was using a certain class, or car, or had assists off etc, now you can only select the type of racing you want to do (drift / circuit) and choose from a limited selection of car classes. The only way to get a fully configurable multiplayer game is to run a private lobby and arrange offline to play your friends online at a certain time. Their is no way for a member of the public, to search or enter these private lobbies so if you have less than 8 racers online, you have to fill the grid up with AI cars. They've ruined a large part of how the game was played online and it's bitterly disappointing in my book.
  19. They've added a'cheap' 24 month tariff for £29 though as well, which offers more minutes and texts than the cheap o2 one. o2 only do a £29 contract on the 18month pakcages i think.
  20. can't wait to see a pic ... i wonder how ugly it might be
  21. no ... you could sew them.
  22. A refraction is the opposite to an infraction. It's what Pancake gives when he feels like having a laugh.
  23. St Will, please take my lounge thread seriously. This isn't the muppet show and some of your posts here have threatened to insult other posters. I'm sure I don't need to remind you that such behaviour is a refraction worthy offence.
