  1. But I'd really like your help. You see, I'm not even sure the sooper 4X4 you mention actually exists and it would be unfair for you to keep it all to yourself.
  2. When will people realise that our fate did not solely depend on the departure of Pearson!?!?!? We had zero cash which meant zero playing prospects. We could have had Alex Ferguson at the helm and we still would have struggled. It's all in the past ... so just get over it and conentrate on the here and now.
  3. I liked that bit the best... Delldays, could you please show me a 4X4 (and by this I assume you mean a Land Rover-esque vehicle, as opposed to a Fiat Panda 4X4) and a small car, where the 4X4 is "more economical" but the small car is taxed lower. I'm on the lookout for a new car so it woul help me enormously with my purchasing decision... Thanks
  4. Ah ... the classic "foot locked in pedal" manouvre. Best executed when there's plenty of people to laugh at you as well. Been there a few times recently actually!
  5. If you want to play around for an afternoon or get used to your bike, head up to Lordswood. If you deviate from any of the gravel paths, you can usually find some decent-ish singletrack through the woods. It's a popular destination for the university riding club and they, plus some others, have made varioud jumps and other obstacles in the past. They do just as regualrly keep getting dismantled by the authorities though. One word of warning, you can geta lot of kids from the estates hanging around in there or bombing through on their scooters. There have been reports of bike muggings as well so you take your chances! Once you want to do longer (half day / full day) rides, you need to head to the Winchester area, or towards Queen Elizabeth Country Park, or towards the Purbecks, or around Salisbury Plain. There's good stuff to the west of Winchester, around Farley Mount, and good stuff to the east, starting from Cheesefoot Head and roughly following the South Downs Way etc. There's plenty of info on the web though so have a good search. Here's one link with route ideas to start you off. There are books called Rough Ride Guide which do one of the local area with plenty of good rides in.
  6. racing post / victor chandler for me
  7. 26yrs old with two kids ... she'll be expensive
  8. not with hammond a doubt to play
  9. I'm a bit worried about missing Hammond to be honest. I hadn't realised he was injured actually, but I should have realised after seeing him doing recuperation work in the pool with Murty and Connolly the other day.
  10. That was more than a little weird .. .should be some infractions dished out me thinks.
  11. I have reported this post using the appropriate button as I believe it breaches forum rules. You have insulted Dell Days and it isn't very nice.
  12. I have reported this post using the appropriate button as I believe it breaches forum rules. You have insulted St Will and it isn't very nice.
  13. *gasp* ... you don't mean "inciting poster hatred"?:smt046
  14. it's a rather odd debate tbh because you're only really learning to play rhythm if you're learning rock tunes or similar on an accoustic. Ideally, you should be using an electric if you want to be playing all the extra licks that make up the lead guitar parts. Trying to do lots of hammer ons, pull offs and bends etc on an acoustic just sounds silly and you need an electric with amp to get any kind of exhilerating noise.
  15. Well, there is a law against inciting racial hatred and I guess the mods may have felt that suggesting members of the public to join the EDL may have been seen as a little inflammatory. They did well to delete the thread and you'd do well to get over it.
  16. heh ... no worries, it's not so much the fraud, just that I'd ba nnoyed if I sturggled to buy tickets in 'popular' areas only to find they were actually being used etc.
  17. Ah, should have used an "allegedly" to soften the blow.
  18. Hardly ... he's dead.
  19. At least there's a bit of consistency going on with the moderating then. Perhaps they do listen to their customer / member feedback sometimes .... well, some of them. ;-)
  20. Is that another veiled insult? You'd better be careful!
  21. could cause stevo less poo-age if that's the case
  22. eh? Coz his missus was seen causing trouble at West Ham?
  23. Are you implying he's stupid and doesn't know what to do with oj?
  24. I guess you're overly sensitive to it then. It's not unheard of you know, oj giving people the squirts that is. Too much pancake can give me the squirts if I'm not careful.
