U.S. Military may lift ban on women in submarines
sotonjoe replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Lounge
This was DulllDays' first 'detailed' post about what is wrong with putting women on submarines. This is the first potentially sexist claim he makes. There is nothing about radiation hurting women's 'bits' at this stage. It is all about women being risky becuase they may get pregnant and have to be sent home. I'm guessing medical situations don't arise in which male officers have to be sent home right? As I said, he shifts onto the nuclear argument later in an attempt to try and lessen the impact of some of the potentially sexist ramblings. -

hmmm.... I can't help thinking the point he says he's now making wasn't the one he was making from the outset. It smacks of tactical withdrawal to me. The way the discussion quickly shifted from submarines to nuclear submarines just goes to show that this wasn't always about radiation doing damage to female organs. He is a sexist (and a racist given by the nasty implications being made on the EDL thread) and he's hiding behind the only shreds of sense he has. -

Would DullDays allow British Muslims to serve on submarines? How would he react to tripping over a prayer mat as he fumbled his way towards his little bunk? -
As far as the offside rule is concerned, you're too right.

I reckon he struggled at school.

Papa not the messiah anymore then?

Perhaps Dulldays will confirm whether or not they have spiders on Royal Navy submarines?

Have I missed something? Who is Sven managing? I thought he was a Director of Football at Notts County. -
heh ... have you secured the funds?

It doesn't prove anything. Our start under WGS was cack. Our start under Pardew has been cack. Under WGS, our form improved and we were ok in the end. With Pardew, our form will need to improve if we are to be ok in the end. It's not rocket science is it?

You know he meant "until" right?

Exactly. This is fascinating reading and DullDays is really on form at the moment. With every post, he outs himself more and more. -

So far from you being in the minority as a sexist member of the armed forces, your experience shows that your misogyny is commonplace? That's ok then. I've read with interest your views on Muslim extremists and now your views on women, and I can't say they've done much to improve my views of armed service personnel. I'm sure not everybody in the armed forces thinks the same way as you (I sincerely bloody hope not anyway), but you should have a serious think about what sort of picture your moral posturing may paint of yourself and, by association, your colleagues. -
It's full of chavs ... you'll fit RIGHT in.

I think a genuinely interesting question to ask is, "How long with the present regime allow this run of form to continue before removing the manger?". I'd be interested to know what targets they have set. In other words, if we're in the relegation zone by Christmas will they dismiss the manager? Or alternatively, would they sit by and watch us go down this season? I'm not implying anyway is the right way, just that it would be interestng to know what level of performance has been deemed acceptable by our board. -
Put whatever spin on it you want ... we are struggling in this league. How long do people give the manager? He has to be held accountable sometime.
