  1. heh ... have you secured the funds?
  2. It doesn't prove anything. Our start under WGS was cack. Our start under Pardew has been cack. Under WGS, our form improved and we were ok in the end. With Pardew, our form will need to improve if we are to be ok in the end. It's not rocket science is it?
  3. You know he meant "until" right?
  4. Exactly. This is fascinating reading and DullDays is really on form at the moment. With every post, he outs himself more and more.
  5. meh ...
  6. s13 sfc = racist
  7. So far from you being in the minority as a sexist member of the armed forces, your experience shows that your misogyny is commonplace? That's ok then. I've read with interest your views on Muslim extremists and now your views on women, and I can't say they've done much to improve my views of armed service personnel. I'm sure not everybody in the armed forces thinks the same way as you (I sincerely bloody hope not anyway), but you should have a serious think about what sort of picture your moral posturing may paint of yourself and, by association, your colleagues.
  8. It's full of chavs ... you'll fit RIGHT in.
  9. I think a genuinely interesting question to ask is, "How long with the present regime allow this run of form to continue before removing the manger?". I'd be interested to know what targets they have set. In other words, if we're in the relegation zone by Christmas will they dismiss the manager? Or alternatively, would they sit by and watch us go down this season? I'm not implying anyway is the right way, just that it would be interestng to know what level of performance has been deemed acceptable by our board.
  10. Put whatever spin on it you want ... we are struggling in this league. How long do people give the manager? He has to be held accountable sometime.
  11. what is a iphone?
  12. If we can excuse the OP's rather hysterical tone, we should perhaps acknowledge that this sort of rule does pave the way for test cases in which being drunk can be seen as bringing the profession into disrepute. Any code of conduct which doesn't quantify exactly what sort of behaviour does / doesn't count as bringing the profession into disrepute needs to be treated with caution.
  13. Sorry ... I read Laundry Road. I have no idea why. I think I was thrown by his comments about being near the hospital! FWIW and IMO etc, Landguard Road is in 'B+B Land'. Some cheap flats, but obviously a lot of HMOs and a fair amount of DSS / bedsits. With apartments in developments like The Dell tumbling in price, I'd be looking for somewhere like that instead.
  14. Not sure if Deppo's comments are aimed at you but I'm surprised if so. Landguard Road runs from Shirley Warren to Tremona Road, which the General Hospital is on. Shirley Warren is commonly acknowledged to be one of Southampton's greatest dives so living on a road leading in / out of it certainly isn't advisable in my book. If you move a little way away from the hospital, you should still find flats in a nicer area and within walking distance. There have been some new developments on Winchester Road recently.

I don't think it's the kind of thing you can just have a go at and expect to get anywhere with tbh. Unless your mates are real experts and can teach well, you'll struggle to get any joy without taking some lessons. I guess it's kind of like golf!
  16. they do a free version that does exactly the same scans for you.
  17. eeepc. done
  18. I went there for a day in the summer and thought it was a right hole of a place tbh. Nothing to get excited about.
  19. webbed feet just out of shot
  20. has Lawrie been on Talksport yet?
  21. Why bother? Just ask Ponty who is going to win.
  22. Cue "Come on ... they were just a few lads having a drink and chanting with their mates etc" ....
  23. It takes the spotlight off the fact that we're adrift at the bottom of the third division, hoping we don't get dragged into a relegation battle, whilst they are still (for the time being) a Premiership club.
  24. Oh well ... at least it would give him a decent excuse for failing to live up the hype.
