Sparta Prague 1 Saints 0 - Match Thread & Melt Down
sotonjoe replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Puel really struggling recently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Does anybody really give a ****?
-
Might have won if we hadn't started an out of form jay rod over an in form Austin. Given the game was there for the taking, that is an awful result and a real kick in the teeth for the travelling fans. Very ****ed off.

Just for clarification, the main restaurant at Limewood is called Hartnett and Holder [Angela Hartnett of Gordon Ramsey fame and a nice guy called Luke Holder] and it is in no way a fine dining venue. It's an Italian restaurant where three courses is typically about £45-£50 per head. It's very relaxed but the food can be very nice.

Good. Hopefully, you will lose interest in trolling on here as well. Cheerio.
-
Thank you.
-
Please confirm who will be operating the flight.
-
We are making songs for an injured player who we haven't signed yet? Christ, this must be a quiet transfer window.
-
Interesting how you all assume this is factually correct when the bbc report makes it seem like a fairly 'he said, she said' case.
-
Yeh. He's no Shteve.
-
That is exactly the point, particularly when results have hardly been disastrous, and we don't even know how the squad will look come the end of the window. The concern is whether the bedwetters are prepared to give it the reasonable amount of time before they start casting judgement and, worse, booing or calling for the manager's head. Clearly the majority on here are not.

results speak for themselves. please explain how the results prove at this time that we have gone "massively backwards".
-
so far this season, we have played 8, won 5, drawn 2, lost 1, scored 12 and conceded 5, and you claim we have gone "massively backwards". Perhaps just a tad kneejerk to God knows what.

hmmm

Hasnt the thread already answered the question? combination of paying for training ground, expensive player flops, money owed in loans ( that bizarre offshore loan Cortese took out, money put in as loan by Katharina etc). Given the circumstances, I wouldn't expect to see a (significantly?) positive net spend, and the owners are perfectly entitled to balance the books if that is how they wish to run the club.
-
I think that sort of comment is deeply disrespectable to both Markus and Katharina. Markus's pledge was to restore the club back to a secure Premier League position. Katherina has openly said she does not want to bankroll the club and it therefore needs to be self sufficient. any expectation beyond what has been promised seems ungrateful for the generosity we have received from the Liebherr family.

Where did you buy the car from? in all likelihood, the "service" done on the car would have been nothing more than an oil and filter change so, no, none of that would have been picked up. for what it's worth, how do you know that all that work really needs doing? Do you trust the mechanic?
-
Is it just me or does anybody else think that seems a bit like the sort of template letter a club would knock out? In my opinion, the tone and wording of it doesn't seem indicative of an individual response from Shaw himself.

Saints announce Virgin Media as new main club sponsor
sotonjoe replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
But that's not accurate. You can't buy virgin media branded products anywhere other than the uk. virgin media is a uk company serving the uk only . Parent company Liberty Global might well own companies selling services in other countries but that's a different matter entirely. -

How is a uk based company selling, Internet and phone services just in the UK a "proper international company"? -
Are you sure? What would you say was superb about his record at Villarreal and Malaga?

Relationship between club and Ron perhaps not as positive as the one between fans and Ron. Ron frustrated to some degree by financial constraints he is asked to work under at Saints. Ron feels he has achieved the most he can at Saints in such conditions and so the way in which his time at saints is perceived by wider footballing world can only plateau or, more likely, decrease. Ron gets a little offended by what he sees as a derisory pay increase offered to him by Saints given his opinion of how good a job he has done. ron would like to move to a big club ie a top four or Cl team but there are no offers forthcoming, leaving him with a straight choice between saints and Everton. saints not keen on Ron running contract down but also not willing to compete financially with Everton's offer for Ron. wider factors surrounding Everton job, including big payday but also chance to improve club with massive financial backing are what attracts Ron to Everton. ron feels that doing a job at Everton for a couple of seasons, on top of his successful spell at Southampton will cement his chances of that big job he really desires. and that's how it happened.

Why don't you stop trolling him and put him on ignore then? At least put the silly, playground rivalry aside and play the post instead of the man. The OP is a valid one with explanation to justify the guy's opinion.
