Cortese would be mad not to have a replacement for Atkins lined up. He's made it clear that relegation is not an option and it is unlikely that you will see Atkins leading us down into the 2nd division.

Is it possible that Lallana's injury isn't as bad as has been made out and that Atkins is using it as an excuse for dropping Adam? In other words, perhaps he is hiding his dropping of Adam from the fans as he is afraid of making these big decisions. Do you think that Adam might have handed in a transfer request because Nigel has dropped him in this way? It seems odd for him to be injured for this long. I think we should be asking questions and not be taken for fools.

If we have so little faith in Atkins as a manger that we let a scouting team pick which players we sign, why don't we go the whole hog and let them pick the team? Nigel is one of very few managers who has overseen a Saints home league victory against Man Utd, and yet the club are making it crystal clear that he is completely ignored when it comes to bringing players in. The writing must be on the wall for Nigel. Perhaps it would be better if he resigned now and reclaimed what little self-respect this club might let him walk away with.
