To be fair to the club, I usually meet a few in the Alfred at 2, wait 10 minutes to get served and pay £3.50 for a pint of p**s in a plastic cup! The concourse will be empty and still drink poor beer, but a round will cost a tenner instead of £17.50!
-
http://www.facebook.com/#!/officialsaints print off the voucher and get 5 drinks (Saints Ale, Carling or Magners) for a tenner before 215 for the boro game, not for me but hopefully some can take advantage!

Bob Marley played there as part of the Wailers, was reported in the echo 2 or 3 weeks ago as part of the black history month, sure it said that there was going to be a plaque erected there, but cant remember rightly. Doesn't help pubs with poor decisions management wise though. I know of a dart team that wanted to move there, thats a minimum of 12 people there every 2 weeks, plus practice nights, but the landlord insisted every game must be finished by 11, and everyone out of the building by 1120, was too inflexable so they now drive to another pub, also a food based place.

The Encore is ok for your nipper, does food too, also the Osbourne. Or the Malvern. The Sheild and Dagger is showing the game

too right, i'd swap my season ticket to be back there without a second thought. Nowhere has the atmosphere as we had there

Curry Lounge and 4550 Miles From Delhi in Nottingham are great.

Got 4 for block 44 this afternoon, want to take the kids. Was going to give my st to a mate but think I'll take it with me to wave back at the "super" fans in block 42! ;-)

Yes it is, noticed in the concourse at the end of the first half, delay of 4 or 5 seconds, could listen to the crowd then watch the screens to see what they were getting excited about!

I have ticket 1885, quite apt for the anniversary year, the 3 sellers in the Kingsland sold out, we took some of the last at half time.

Roy's still about Tim, still at Staplewood with the youth. Has had health problems but still cheerful, top notch fella!

I have been fortunate to use the 1885 club on numerous occassions this season, always enjoyed it, Saturday was no exception. There were a lot more people there, was told 800 in hospitality total, but never really saw any real trouble with the youngsters. The only downside for me is it's now pay the full amount or nothing for kids, therefore to take my 15 year would now cost well over a ton for us, whereas my 10 year old is free, so my nipper misses out and sits every other in our normal seats! He enjoys the Alfred though so alls good!
-
Is £35 for Saturday, then the price increases to £50 a game, still good value imo if you're taking a kid with you(who are still free). As Jesus Reigned said, buy the kids a coke and you've 2 pints included, 2 curries (they're not great, but edible), two decent seats and pre and post match entertainment for £20 extra, a bargain!
-
Cheers Hamster, the landlord probably owes you a pint or 2, took our minibus there, the food was great. Only had London Pride on pump but didn't matter to me, I was driving!

"Are you watching Rupert Lowe?" seems apt to me seeing the progress since he went.

Are you taking the p*ss?

Was a top day out, only one team in the game. Wish there were more Saints there mind, only 1200 or so away at top of the league? Oh well, they missed a good one!
