  1. Nothing about not paying their dues as far as I can see: At the end of the nine month period the original legal entity, which traded as the Club, will be placed into Liquidation to enable the duly appointed Liquidators to begin their investigation into the affairs of the Club. Newco will continue to trade as the football club in the Championship and will be obliged to pay a contribution to enable a minimum dividend of 20 pence in the pound before costs and expenses to all unsecured creditors in full and final settlement of their debt. This obligation will be formalised by way of a binding sales and purchase agreement in consideration of the transfer of the business and assets to the Newco. Newco will be allowed a further period of 4 years and 3 months to pay the outstanding consideration into the Liquidation. Bit about salaries from a previous version (taken out of updated document): The Administrators have reviewed every cost centre of the Club in an effort to reduce expenditure, where possible. The biggest challenge was the salaries of the playing squad. Fortunately, nine contracts of the senior squad are due to expire at the end of June 2010, and a further six senior players are under loan agreements which are also due to expire. This will provide the Administrators the opportunity to reduce the Club’s current annual player salary commitment, of approximately £42 million, to a budgeted level of approximately £13.6 million by next season. This will be further reduced to between £8 and £10 million in the event that the Club remains in the Championship for the following season.
  2. Perhaps next year... "The weather is much more changeable and there's a lot more uncertainty. There's no risk of the ash moving across the UK in the next day or so. "But there is a possibility that we'll see some volcanic ash towards the end of the week." Met Office.
  3. A shame Blackpool couldnt hold on for 30 minutes for a win. They have brought something different to the negative PL tactics of those struggling to keep their PL status. Much will depend on which players want to go and if Holloway can replace with similar quality but I cannot see them being near the auto spots, maybe similar to Burnley this season. it'll be interesting to see how they approach a European campaign as well. Birmingham are screwed financially so will not be able to keep the quality. I can see them sacrificing Europe (if they are haven't breached UEFA financial rules) for a quick return especially if they get a decent manager, they could certainly get to the play offs.
  4. There is still time yet, look what happen last season, the last minute rush but they still got players in and are still in the championship. The only good point for this year is the little money they have for players (unless they can find some money down the back of a sofa) since they only have Lawrence as a saleable playing asset to raise funds. Let's see who the blue few sign first and that will show the intent of the owner/s.
  5. I thought he will be a free transfer this summer?
  6. Jeez, well that brought back painful memories. It's strange, had we not capitulated against Villa, Boro and Everton I'm swe would have survived and then we would have missed out on our good fortune we have now.
  7. I would prefer Brum and Blackburn to join them, we tend to do well against the 'bigger' clubs. I have mixed emotions with WHU, with family ties to the club but the p0rn barons deserve this with the many mistakes they've made this season, starting with employing AG and finishing with the way they dismissed him. They'll need to raise plenty of money (£30-40m) from player sales for them to enjoy a challenge next year without worring about the financies. But to many player changes and the wrong manager in and they are stuffed.
  8. I would suspect that there are players who have big egos but still recognise football as a team game and are not corrupted by greed or agent to realise the team is the most important thing in winning games and medals.
  9. Depends what industry as Agile is not recommended for validation of systems. Perhaps a Six Sigma course would be good as it's not IT focused.
  10. The fact he had a job is unbelieveable!
  11. Best one yet... comedy gold with Edward.
  12. I don't think it's easy just to keep a player without thinking about the team. Much will depend on the succession planning of players, i.e. who will take over from Jaidi? Seaborne, Martin? Are they ready now? Is Jaidi going to be used as cover? Or do we buy? We have a number of options for left back plus the promising Shaw (who is likely to see some first team action in the next two years). Do we keep Mills, and Dickson as well as Harding? Or Sell Mills and keep Harding and Dickson?
  13. Forty one points out of a possible 45 is a great achievement... just under 40% of our points in those 15 games.
  14. Sorry to stir the pot but not having read the thread except the last few posts, if we got 20 points, would we have finished third? Twenty is closer to 22 but then the prize of second place would not be ours. So much depends on how everyone interprets the question of "how many points will we need".
  15. I was a Parish Councillor a few years back, now that was a thankless task! And no, I didn't get paid.
  16. Hotel Jenny, Klepferhof, 68220 hagenthal le bas, Frankreich. Near Basel, superb food and wine. A bit closer to home Auberge de Luc, Welwyn Garden City, Herts. Again great food and wine.
  17. I surprised they didn't interview Gus, the best Manager in League One... ever! Joking apart, a nice piece and I can see another good season ahead with Adkins at the helm.
  18. I didn't realise the cycle shop owner was a Saints fan. I need a bike too!
  19. around 98 for 3 or 4 seasons.
  20. Not only that, but from the match report "Kanu, a starter here, is rumoured to be still earning £80,000 a week"
  21. Does it matter? Al Qaida is still active, it's ethos is still calling to others, the war on terror will go on and deaths will still occur.
  22. Thanks for the summary. I think that Huddersfield will make it through the play-offs.
  23. It will be against league rules to totally change the side, however they do have a couple of promising youngsters who may see some or all the match (especially if Murray is out). Also their captain, Greer, should be back from his four match ban
