  1. Happy to line them up ;-) It was on another forum that the fans had noticed (!) he wasn't getting a game anymore.
  2. Actually, we can send out a team that have played for the first team before (e.g Bart, Paterson, McClaggon etc)... it's all relative but the FA will not enforce the "represent the full available strength" rule as it means nothing in this era of first team squads being 24+ players.
  3. Is there any reason why Tommy Smith is no longer playing (payments due to games played)? He was rated as one of their better players.
  4. Well it's on their website about the charges... http://www.parcelforce.com/portal/pw/content1?mediaId=load105044&catId=2500042
  5. As you haven't stated all the information it's hard to see what they have done. If you are not satisfied write to: Customs and International Review and Appeals Team 7th Floor South West Alexander House 21 Victoria Avenue Essex SS99 1AA, but they would need to know every detail.
  6. Not sure what is meant by customs fee/charge. Is that excise duty and/or VAT to be paid? It seems like some Parcel Force bureaucracy they have created to get money out of customers especially as this maybe classed as a gift... All goods imported into the UK from outside the EU must be declared to HM Customs & Excise and in most cases this includes goods bought over the Internet. If you are sent a gift with a value of £36 or less, and which complies with the following it will be free from customs duty and import VAT (this does not include alcohol, tobacco, perfumes and toilet waters): The customs declaration must be completed correctly. The gift must be sent from a private person outside the EU to a private person(s) in this country. There is no commercial or trade element and the gift has not been paid for either directly or indirectly. The gift is of an occasional nature only, for example, for a birthday or anniversary. Customs duty becomes payable if the value of the goods is over £120 but duty is waived if the amount of duty calculated is less than £7. There are a number of other circumstances where relief from some or all customs charges and it's best to talk to HMRC about it (at the depot that holds your package).
  7. I don't think they do, otherwise the FA would/should enforce it.
  8. Has it been lifted? I don't see anything on the beeb except for SAF saying it will be soon, will be soon, will be soon and he is giving the club rights to the land he doesn't own!
  9. more like f*ck! Still in profit (just) from my bets with Saints this season.
  10. £300 on a saints win (8/11).
  11. I have that as my ringtone!
  12. It's probably a cultural thing too, working for european pharma companies there is none of the autocratic or 'touchy feely' management styles. Responsibility is taken seriously whatever level, perhaps it's a can do attitude rather than being given instructions as to a way something needs to be done.
  13. Sorry, not in the industry I work in. All it does is bred contempt, lowers productivity and good people leave.
  14. I'm sorry, but the victorian days of management have gone. If that ever happen at a company these days, talented staff would leave and the company would soon "go down the pan".
  15. Meanwhile, somewhere on the other side of the planet an intelligent question is being asked.
  16. The Sky money would make both Celtic and Rangers big clubs in the league so if the number of teams in the PL stay the same Bolton would suffer. I wonder what UEFA would do if it gets approved by the PL.
  17. I agree that he was the better of the duo. It just seems odd for a club to make such a short term appointment - given the investment behind them. Changing managers too often is something to be avoided.
  18. he is so good, they're appointed him only for the rest of the season!
  19. as bentley has got time on his hands, he's found a way to increase his income:
  20. I could just about understand it if he was given a wedge to spend in the transfer market, but according to soccerbase these are his signings so I can see why they have the lowest wage bill and are struggling: Toumani Diagouraga Hereford Tommy Rowe Stockport Lee Frecklington Lincoln Danny Mills Crawley Romone McCrae Crawley and loans: Krystian Pearce Birmingham Danny Rose Tottenham Ryan Bennett Grimsby Scott Griffiths Dag & Red Ben Amos Man Utd
  21. there are plenty of sites out there to check against, e.g. http://www.hoaxkill.com/hoaxes.html
  22. The Burnley game will be an interesting match as the Skates could be on a losing run what with Stoke wanting to win after the last gasp loss this w/e who also have a good home record and Man U not wanting to lose ground on the top two.
  23. But that doesn't mean that he couldn't have done some research about the swiss bid to see how serious they were and how respected those involved were. That's what doesn't sit right with me - was it complacency, tiredness of the whole thing or something else from the administrators?
  24. After the loss against Blackburn, the run of fixtures to the end of the year (game 20) are: Sun 22nd November Away Stoke Sat 28th November Home Man Utd Sat 5th December Home Burnley Sat 12th December Away Sunderland Weds 16th December Away Chelsea Sat 19th December Home Liverpool Sat 26th December Away West Ham Wed 30th December Home Arsenal I can see a generous 10pts but a more likely 6pts (Burnley win and three draws) leaving them on anything from 13-17 points with 18 games to go, a tough ask even if the points total is dropped to 36 points for survival.
  25. Just give him some examples of those players who contribute to the team are worth more than those that can only stick it in the back of the net (cantona v owen type scenario). Performance isn't everything at that level, it's getting to understand the game and having a good technique. This will be a good test for him but probably one that he needs to make alone rather than have you by his side. All IMO of course.
