Just saw how Omar Elabdellaoui did when he was on loan at Hull for the second half of the 2016/17 season. Silva dropped him after 7 games and he wasn't in the squad again until the last match of the season. That being said. He has been ever present in Olympiakos' season and has played in the RW position too. So he may be able to be utilised easily as a rwb.

As long as hes not just coming in to support Elyanoussi as we did when we got Chala to keep Delgado company...
-
Romeu on 4 yellows. Hojbjerg suspended for three. Time to exercise the recall in Reeds loan?
-
What was your pre match prediction Saint Larf?
-
Its a school of pochetino / cortese formation surely? 4 2 3 1 Hojbjerg and Romeu as DMs. Lemina, mo and JWP in front of them with Charlie up front.
-
Echo reported on 15th December that he "should be back in just under a fortnite". So we should see training pics imminently.
-
Splitting hairs, but we're playing with wing backs. They're positional meant to be nearer the mids.
-
Plus Bednarek had just been manhandled to the ground.

I don't think Lemina was following Hasenhüttl's steps at all. Too much holding up of the ball and insecurities. West ham saw this and obviously instructed Carroll to take out Romeu. (how Targett got a yellow and Carroll didnt for his swipe at Romeu is extremely questionable). Thank goodness Hojbjerg is back at the weekend, and maybe its time to let Lemina go to Psg and get a player in the Schneiderlin mould back in.

When does Yoshida fly out for the Asian Cup? After Stephens and Hoedt, are any U23s able to step up if there are any injuries Through jan?
-
Found it interesting that Hasenhuttl said in his long Skysports interview after Arsenal that most of the players did what he asked. I'm presuming he meant Targett?

Saints 3 - Arsenal 2 - I should start threads more often
Nolan replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
Players average positions like like a perfect formation set up. Hasenhüttl certainly got to them What a result. -
Personal choice would be...

I'm not sure how anyone can have read the article on the official web site and not think Romeu is the first name on the team sheet. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2018-12-15/tactical-watch-oriol-romeu-saints-vs-arsenal-premier-league-1819

Very promising quote from https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/11581392/ralph-hasenhuttl-gets-a-round-in-as-southampton-seek-home-comforts Injured players have not escaped the 51-year-old's meticulous planning, with left-back Ryan Bertrand sent training videos to watch during his recovery from a back operation which will keep him sidelined for around a fortnight. "It went well and I wrote to him yesterday wishing him all the best," said Hasenhuttl. "We sent him all the training session videos that we made this week so that he can imagine what will change now in his position or what we are asking from [him] in the future."

most definitely you.

We'll know which one are upset from the ones that are dropped then. Fine with me.

Watch Thursdays Presser. The intention is clear, whatever the outcome.
-
by having evolved into a team that can win and get itself promoted, again.... not exactly rocket science especially as Ralph H explicitly said in his Presser on Thursday that the way the team plays against Cardiff will be unrecognisable from a team that plays for him in 6 months time.

From reading about Hasenhüttl and Rohl (whose background looks to be analytics) : This game will be on the large screens at Staplewood. The individual mistakes will be laid bare. I doubt we'll see such absurdities along the lines of Vestergaards error come January.
-
I think Vestergaard, Hojbjerg and Romeu all probably benefit from Bundesliga experience and potentially seeing Hasenhüttl's style in action.
-
Have heard similar to this before, and that he had the captains armband in an attempt to temper this.
-
We only listed 24 players in the Squad. I don't know if rules allow him to be added as the 25th Man?

Stocks and shares crashing yesterday was due to the arrest of Huawei's CFO in Canada.

Heseltine still thinks we'll join the Euro....
