He was employed by the club, but he wasn't on the board of directors of Southampton Football Club Ltd before then. Toby Steele was also secretary before becoming a director.

There are 6 directors of SFC ltd. Les Reed, Tim Greenwell, Toby Steele, Ralph Krueger, Martin Semmens and David Thomas. 5 of those 6 were officially appointed on 19/6/2017. The other is Les Reed. Pellegrino was announced on 23/6/17. How much influence would the new board members have had on that decision? given the rumours coming out now. Les is being outvoted by a majority of the other 5.

We do have links with Kenya.... https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-05-26/video-sports-pesa-southampton-football-club-kenya And we can assume that some executives may not like it when we go with someone with experience rather from the statistics of the "black box"
  6. The hart stuff is to try and get McCarthy to sign a new deal, equally McCarthy linked with other clubs is to get us to offer him a better deal.
  7. St Marys was originally "the Friends Provident Stadium" http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/5626469.Saints_unveil_the_Friends_Provident_Stadium/ it was then amended to Friends Provident St Marys Stadium due to fan backlash. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/5626401.What_you__the_fans__had_to_say_about_the_naming_of_the_new_ground_at_St_Mary_s/
  8. He's saying the right things in the longest way possible. We'll be able to have a proper stable pre season for the first time in years.
  9. Mediocrity? You think another manager would have had Stoke higher than 9th for three seasons.?
  10. Seeing as the transfer window now opens on Thursday and there is a possibility that at least Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Everton and maybe Watford are looking at management options. We don't want to be in a bun fight for a manager.
  11. He's taken a squad with no confidence and who have suffered constant Set backs and bad luck and got the team playing solidly with 3 at the back. He's got to points needed to stay up and the squad now are in a position to have small changes and we win games against the teams we need to next season.

Five goals (Inc a Hattrick) in the last 5.
  13. disagree with that statement completely. Ralph et al will look at the last few games. Conclude that two of our three most expensive signings weren't involved on the pitch and reassess buying strategy.
  14. Yes and the countries that regularly have snow have specific laws, like mandatory winter tyres. They also can afford to spend money on what is, for them, annual occurrences. It would be wrong for us to spend on infrastructure for snow when it occurs once or twice a decade. We have to wing it.
  15. 0.1 % As the ONS report says : some impacts on GDP from the snow in the first quarter of 2018 have been recorded for construction and retail sales” “The fall in retail trade was driven by a decrease in petrol sales. This could be attributed to adverse weather conditions, which impacted on travel”* “There is some evidence of an impact of the bad weather on construction output… 3.3% fall in construction was the largest downward pull on Q1”
  16. With the transfer window closing on the 9th of August. Someone will have their work cut out to sell all those players in that time frame. We'll have a lot stronger line up than the initial post shows.
  17. I would only hope the fact that the Club statement doesn't include who would take over in the interim for the FA up game, implies someone will be sorted ASAP.
  18. Someone needs to read more than Novara, evolve and the Canary... Even the Guardian are reporting the facts on Cox.
  19. Well, if the person in charge of the NEC (The group who are supposed to deal with complaints, does this) What hope is there? http://metro.co.uk/2018/02/18/labour-face-claims-bullying-angry-scenes-key-meeting-7322247/
  20. The one who can't bring himself to sing the national anthem is more likely to compromise security.
  21. Except the minister who has been doing the rounds has that is already covered. All countries with deals with the EU will allow the same thing to continue with the UK until bespoke agreements can be done.
  22. Certainly is ironic when people use the word 'Jihad' which literally is about the Maintenance of something, when referring to people seeking change for the better.
  23. Free trade is okay as long as its only with the EU. Is that correct?
  24. Not being a part of the United States Of Europe is working for me thanks...
  25. The institute of New economics founded by George Soros. Now if I recall, he's be in the news recently regarding Brexit...
