Can't really comment on how we've looked so far (as tonight is my first match), but given our results today (and people's feedback on here) it looks as though Pardew clearly recognises there still is much work to do. Although I'm sure we would have liked it sewn up before the season started considering the nightmare of a closed season that we had then maybe it's no surprise it's dragged on a bit. I see this season as stabilising the rot and building for a concerted promotion push next year.

I may have been drunk but when I was on holiday I'm sure I watched basketball matches with mini trampolines all over the court. Wondered what was going on with these players bouncing everywhere, so your quote may have some substance in it if the Americans get a hold of "Soccer" administration!!!!!!

Methinks you're being massively, massively over generous there;)

Just because I disagree with what people might be posting I'm certainly not saying they are the tossers, idiots or trolls, far from it. I think there's a world of difference between holding and espousing a different opinion on here and the antics of a few idiots and trolls on here. It's easy to distinguish between the two styles.

Are you the Pulis Jnr Man then?????? When you eventually get round to buying me those pints then please don't call me Um Pahars to my face.
-
You really are reading a tad too much into the use of first names by people who know each other on here!!!!!! Unless of course you deem all friendship groups as cliques.
-
So are you saying that if you know people on here very well then you shouldn't address them by their first name??? Have to say I sometimes find it rather weird referring to some of my friends by stupid internet forum user names!!!!! Methinks you're reading too much into being pleasant and cordial to acquaintances.
-
And I think that when those instances arise and someone acts like a twot, then the vast majority can clearly see who the prck is. I certainly think we could all have a look at how we talk to each other on here at times, but at the same time it is pretty obvious who the tssers, trolls and idiots out there are (and Fitzhugh Fella is certainly not amongst them).

Well if we're defending the Northam end then perhaps you should try blowing the ball away from our net and into the oppositions;)

Pardew: "It's a bit dysfunctional at the moment"
um pahars replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
If only it were that easy!!!! Wasn't it Bogarde who just sat in Chelsea's ressies (even if he played for them!!) earning £40k a week???? -
I think you're right there in that people do take it too serious on here and everyone is guilty to some degree of talking bollix, waffle etc etc etc. With the exception of one or two wakners who cross the line the vast majority of posts/posters on here are fairly innocuous and as you say meeting posters in "real life" can often be a pleasant surprise. I reckon even sotonjoe isn't the cck he comes across as on here (PS sotonjoe the weather was great;))

PTSD kicking in????

LOL, you get 90% just for completing the front page of your exam paper at those places!!!!

With Wotte in charge, then I wouldn't say that was out of the question;)

That's if they've got any money left as they seem to be ploughing it all in to Qatar Airways. Have to say I was mightily impressed by the planes we flew in recently, best out of the Middle East group IMHO.

I'm guessing it would be UWE!!!!!!

I never thought The Mail had it in for us!!! Charles Sale as an individual was often used by Lowe to leak stuff and would often cosy up to him, but in general I've never viewed that any of the mainstream media (including The Mail) had it in for us. TBH we're probably off their radar, until we either bloodied the noses of one of the big boys or did something that got their attention (Woodward, Redknapp, Lowe's quotes etc). And even if The Mail does have it in for us, then it's even more remarkable that despite "having it in for us" they go on to praise us for a pretty decent gate. Maybe the idiot(s) out there who think it was a poor gate could give us an idea of what they would constitute a decent gate;) . I wonder what they had to say about the many 13k, 14k and 15k gates we got last year.

I'm actually quite impressed how the topic has been managed to be moved away from the bravado of the dark and depressing Trouble at Football and on to the more cheery topics of the benefits of co-ordinating your wardrobe, UWE vs Uni Of Bristol and the Liberal Democat influence on Portsea Island.

It's over four times that figure St Will. From the British Golf Association in January of this year: The number of golfers in Great Britain who play on a full length course remains just under the 4 million mark. This figure is supplemented by recreational golfers who do not play at full length courses, pushing the total number of adults in Great Britain who play some form of golf to just over 4 million. This equates to a participation rate of approximately 8% of the adult population. Golf certainly is no minority sport and amongst men the participation levels are comparable with football!!!!!!!

That's a fair and independent assessment of our gate, particularly given the problems with the late release of season tickets and the disaster of last season. Given our second home match last season had a gate of 15,000, then it is a decent gate for the Third Tier and following on from the rubbish we have had to put up with recently. Two 20,000 gates stand up to scrutiny and the Mail's unbiased view backs this up.

Nice, combine it with this And our little hardnut Bizzle could even manage one of these and look dashing:

It needs to match your shoes (and preferably your belt), so as long as you have Gold Prada slip ons, then I'd say you'd be able to carry it off.

An interesting fact is that nearly as many men play golf (9%) as play football (10%) in the UK. http://www.statistics.gov.uk/downloads/theme_compendia/sport&leisure.pdf With 4 million people in this country playing golf (of whom half are members of clubs) http://www.franchisedirect.co.uk/golffranchises/188 , it certainly is big business. Maybe Izzle Bizzle is raking in the cash with his coaching!!!!

Oi Daily Mailer, tell me where I sign up:rolleyes::rolleyes: (and they eat babies you know:D)

It doesn't. There was an article in The Pink a few weeks back detailing other teams slide from the Top Flight since the 1980's. Successive relegations from Top Flight to 4th Division = 2 teams Succesive relegations from Top Flight to 3rd Division = 2 teams 2 relegations in 3 seasons = 3 teams 2 relegations in 4 seasons = 3 teams 2 relegations in 5 seasons = 5 teams (inc us) 2 relegations in 6 seasons = 4 teams Of the 15 clubs relegated from the Top Flight to the Third tier over this period, 12 have returned to the second tier within three seasons (5 did it at the first attempt, 4 at 2nd attempt, 3 at 3rd attempt)
