Good memories Duncan, cheered me up after seeing Jack Cork has left. Good to see the pictures from the old board room, and in particular Basil Bowyer, nice old gent he was.He actually contributed to a club fine myself and others occured whilst we were playing in France during close season. Very naughty boys we were.

When will this management team realise, that, if their system of play does not work, they change it.Pretty football will not win us enough games to stay in this league. Also time to drop some of those big-headed prima-donas who think that pulling on the shirt is enough. Earn your money you bunch of ****s. Of course the problem is we don't have any alternatives do we, what a ****ing mess.

Take it on the chin Tim. You know as well as i do loving this football club comes with all the emotions. Unfortunately lately the mood always seems to be low. Mind you it has to be said, the thread on dear old Ted Bate's statue was comedy genius, and i am sure Ted would have seen the funny side. I am amazed no-one has published a book, using all the quotes, as it was easily the funniest thing i have ever read.

Don't want to get into a slag Davis thread, because he has done brilliantly this season, but i have seen him make those highlighted mistakes.I know i am not a goalkeeping expert, but i do know he is not England class.

I used to tremble everytime the ball went near Kelvin, last season. To his credit he has had a brilliant season so far, saving us points...........but England, i don't think so.

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best LB.

Steve Mills, great player, career cut short by injury, life cut short by illness. -
Can't argue with any of that Hughie, funny how the left back position has never been the same problem as the right back. Oh to see Ivan Golac charging back and forth.

What did Duncan (Fitzhugh Fella) say on Radio Hampshire?

Please God no !! ........By the way good post Sundance. -
This Dutch idea of players being able to move about the pitch and do a job without altering the shape of the side etc; etc; imo is hogwash. It has always amazed me that a succession of different coaches/ managers have always made-do with any old player they think could play right back. Full-back should be a specialist position occupied by a proven player, not some half decent player who can't get a game in the midfield. Until we put that right we will continue to suffer and concede stupid goals due to a mid-fielder not being tactically aware as a decent fullback:smt073

We all moan and groan about the men in black, me more than most, but this thing yes thing, made my blood boil. As somebody quite rightly said earlier, his inept performance could send us down,There were so-many criticle decisions he got wrong, imho, he alone is the proof that video replays for the 4th official need to be brought in sooner rather than later. While i am at it i wish to appologise to anyone who was in block 11 of the Itchen, who witnessed me loosing the plot, and to the stewards who had to be put on stand-by, because i really wanted to hurt that referee. I was completely sober, but i think i will need more anger management courses.Time for me to take a break from watching Saints, me thinks. By the way i managed to make contact with the ref, later, and left him knowing that i thought that he wasn't very good.:smt009

FWIW, Chez, i agree with you.He put in some good performances at the end of the season on the left hand side, in fact Richard Wright was hitting all his goal kicks towards him and he was winning a lot which stopped the ball coming staight back at us from the centre of the pitch.

Fair point Throbber, but i am sure you could muster up just a little bit hatred for them down the road, or even Swansea...............
-
Where would you place yourself Nick ? My feeling is you would say 3, but i think you spend a lot of time on here defending Mr.Lowe,,,,, ;)FWIW i am a 3.

I have a lot of time for Jason after last season, being sung to, that he was not fit to wear the shirt.( which he wasn't, imo).He put in some gutsy work under Pearson, at the end of the season, and was one of the instrumental factors of us staying up.A fit focused Jason is a plus for us.

FWIW, i don't think you need a poll. To me there are 3 factions who populate this forum, with regards Lowe. 1. BLIND HATRED. 2. BLIND LOVE. 3. Those that hate Lowe( and WILDE),but think there is no credible alternative. Reading this forum my gut feeling is no;1 wins hands-down.

Preston 2-3 Saints - You've Gotta be Havin' a Laugh
Teddy Nutkins replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
You know this sort of thing does not happen to Saints, does it. I was moaning and groaning at half time, my daughter said don't worry Dad they will win 3-2........................i was bouncing off the walls when the 3rd went in, and to see the picture of all the players plus Kelvin celebrating, gives me belief that we may just survive.Well done fella's i hope this gives you confidence to move onto a different level.Special well done to Oscar Gobern(sp)...........this game's easy aint it.:smt041 -
Not arf Mike, that really got my juices flowing, and i haven't kicked a ball in 20 years;)

Well said, that man. Also do not forget when we shelled out for season tickets last March, we also had a free ####ing bus.I have stood up, you have counted my money........now you do something for me.

Jan Poortvliet reckons we are due a big win

WE ......yes, urine an observant mood this morning. -
Indeed, apart from a specialist right full-back, we had the players at the club at the start of the season, to compliment our ability to pass the ball around. But hey ho, finances had to come first.........apparently.:smt102

I know exactly what you mean ESB, i have had the same feeling. I know Ricky, went to the same school played in the same football team, he was/is a great bloke. Who knows what happened, all that matters is the killer is caught brought to justice. R.I.P. Paula.

Whatever happened to Anthony Salz? His name kept appearing on this forum as a friend/associate of Leon Crouch. I am sure Leon Crouch is watching the situation very carefully at the moment and if Wilde is wobbling maybe it would be a good time to strike ?.............just a thought.
