  1. Mmmmmmmm. don't suppose you would care to elaborate.I hope Pardew is not reading.
  2. After watching last night, i feel that we need a good experienced midfielder who can get on the ball, slow the game down a little, when we have been under pressure for a while( like after half-time).Morgan will become a better player imho if he has somebody alongside him who is confident in posession .Poor old Wotten looks so awkward on the ball and he is always looking to "off load it", as quick as possible, i really hope he is a stop gap. As others have said a pair of wide men who can get to the touch line and cross, will see a lot goals scored by our strikers, we did it a couple of times last night. I think we do still need a central defender to go straight into the side.On a different note well done to Adam Lallana, who i thought was excellent last night.
  3. You have been a shop-steward for too long, mate. It is not wrong to sometimes believe what you are being told. See you tonight all being well.
  4. Dan Harding.The new Mark Dennis?:smt074
  5. I am a reformed smoker, but i can confirm when i did smoke, i never tried a Firkin.
  6. Mick Mills
  7. Opps too slow
  8. Fabrice Fernandez.
  9. Duncan can speak for himself, but, having spent some time chatting with him a couple of weeks ago, i got the impression that he could not understand why someone with ML's wealth was buying SFC.What was his motivation? I firmly believe ML is looking at a long term strategy in which he is eventually paid back with Premiership money.I am not sure that Duncan can "get his head around that", and appears to be suspicious.May be totally wrong, i apologise if i am wrong Duncan.
  10. Some players, who have served Southampton F.C. with legend-like status can get away with playing for our local rivals, others can't. I will be sad to see Niemi go to Pompey, but i won't hate him for doing it.In fact it is probably a sad reflection of exactly where the blue brigade are financially, even with their "take-over".As someone else said "Over to you agent Niemi"
  11. Look forward to that Dave. I really enjoyed watching parts of yesterdays game and i have not done that for a while. When the 3rd goal went in we relaxed as a side and actually passed the ball around with a lot of confidence.
  12. Agree, he got out of the way of the centre backs, and actually linked quite well today.I am sure though, Alan Pardew will replace him eventually.
  13. I really hope Greg stays with us.I am impressed at the way he has lost weight, looks as though he has worked hard in training. This man will score for fun in this league, i am sure.Matt Patterson looked comfortable with him as well.I think Alan Pardew will be delighted if he stays, here is hoping.
  14. What a difference a week makes, what a difference organisation, spirit, and a well balanced 4-4-2 makes.Well done lads and well done the manager.............simple game really isn't it derry.
  15. I would of Dave, but i don't like it when people start shouting at each other..........it makes me sad. FWIW i agree with you.
  16. I will be there watching to see what influence the new manager has had on the players that played against Ajax. I am hoping to see 4-4-2, a defence that doesn't sit in front of the goalkeeper all game and the desire to attack.A couple of new signings would be good also. A.P. will have had 5 days to change some attitudes and bad habits, i am hopefull.
  17. David, i could have written that myself.I enjoyed watching the way Ajax pulled us apart 2nd half with long passes which switched play and after Murty went off, caught poor old Lloyd-James watching the ball drop over his head. I hope we are not going to play 1 up front again, i felt sorry for Rasiak and Saga trying to close their back 4 down.Agree Wootton is very agricultural, dung and slurry come to mind.Alan Pardew, please sort this out. I will return next Saturday to see if we have an improvement.I hate being negative but it stank 2nd half of same ****e different league.Sorry:(
  18. Fair play to Alan Pardew, having the guts to take on a team starting on -10 points put his neck on the line etc;.........i know some will say he has been out of work since November 2008, so a job is a job, but i would like to think he is brave enough to test his ability to get us back to the league we would prefer to play in. Spend Markus's money wisely Alan, and lets give it go!!!
  19. Radio Solent news, deal tied up early hours of the morning. Good luck Alan, new start for all.
  20. Hi Lance, everythings good with me, can't wait to get the season going again......who knows, it may be the start of something special for all the long-suffering fans. Bring it on.
  21. Ta very much mate.
  22. I am inclined to agree, although it is important to hire the right manager, i can't help but feel uneasy about our current ability on the field to start dragging back those 10 points. I should have learnt to be patient, really, but unfortunately i'm not.
  23. knew that was coming.
