Or at the very least, his own orifices...

Agree. Class act Brooks.

Turktown!

Yeah I know, but that's not modern football, most of the power is vested with the players and their agents, likes of Lallana and Van Dijk sagas taught us that years ago. But, both Ramsdale and Fernandes seem to have some personal character and have some affinity with the club beyond lip service. My guess is that they'll see what offers come in right up to the close of the window. Not impossible that either might prefer a rejuvenating season with Saints tearing up the Champs, than a relegation battle in the Prem, per se, but would be unusual and require dice to fall in favour.
-
Been a few hints from Solak and club media that they are attempting something with Rambo and Fernandes, but will be a slim chance and would have to be very 'creative'. Dibling most likely to stay of those with an obviously higher ceiling, but money talks. I think it's going to be like last time with Ward-Prowse, with the 'right' offers coming in late in the window when the Prem clubs start panicking. The two departures so far suggests Spors and Solak will at least play hard ball on fees.

100% this, and I think it might be the June/July strategy.
-
Another good result in terms of repairing the damage of past folly. Fair play to Spors. Hope he keeps going through this mediocre squad like bespectacled German hornet.
-
Fair play to agent Juric, this has done us a massive favour at that price. One of the most brainless ‘flair’ players I’ve ever seen at Saints. Nine times out of ten he found space or got the the byline there would be a visible cognitive malfunction followed by fuck all. The football equivalent of a cheap indoor firework. Puts a sizeable early chunk into the Will Still resuscitation kitty.

PT confirmed as assistant to Still. Lallana has just been confirmed as first team coach, with Ruben Martinez joining as keeper coach. Rusk, Thornton etc shipped out. https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/article/new-additions-boost-stills-coaching-team?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=coaching-team-2526&utm_term=news&utm_content=link&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0BMQABHkPVB06iLlF6xpMW2tZyckyFkQmQdMkbQ8dew0i0mee9rFWsifRnaMpPQ_BB_aem_fv5tnOmrVPlxNk-MQtBPEw

That would likely be a very good cameo signing for this season, still very fit and a genuine leader.
-
I am at least encouraged that both Joshua (20) and Damion (20) have the brick-shithouse physicality of heavyweight boxers, and at £3m and £4m respectively, might genuinely be seen as low-risk potential signings. For perspective, Larios at 18 cost us £6m plus, Mara at 19 cost us £10m plus, and Sulemana at 21 £22m. I think these two lads will be the early additions suggested by Spors et al. and approved by Still.

Think even the current SCC brains trust might be aware that they will likely be toast next May. Could be that the application or reapplication will go to a more pragmatic panel.

I'm hearing that they might open it on an extra day this year, perhaps a Thursday or a Friday. Rumour is that much depends on which cruise ships are in the docks.

Like others Ekelund, only player I ever saw completely on Le Tissier's wavelength, if he'd stayed fit would have been an absolute legend, and Alderweireld, looked the complete modern centre back, had the lot. Also really enjoyed Richard Wright's spell with us as we looked so much better with him in that poor side, always thought he was massively underrated as a keeper and in his prime should have won a shedload of England caps.

Seeing David 'one trick' Lee and Lee Todd in a Saints side used to wind me up.
-
Yep, all their stadiums were built that way, but Lowe then went on a ramble about the cost per seat. I think if it ever happens it will be one of the side stands, taking us up to around 40k, hence the LCFC comparison.

Solak in full kit and studs on the deck of a P&O liner with a Draper hard hat on. Nailed on!
-
some people will, even at the planning stage...
-
Of course, but with Solak it might actually be more than a fantasy.
-
After Dragan's comments today, if it happens we will likely plagiarise LCFC's recent plans as the much vaunted BARR bolt ons will be brought into action:

I always have. Man has always been willing to spend money / invest and talk up the club, just that he had a minor ensemble of Billy Smart's Fodbold Management alongside for a while. As I said before, I hope he stays around long enough to see a proper return on his funding, sporting and financial.
-
Christ, whoever signed that off needs to be shot!

Ah, the famous 1970s dinner lady tabard ensemble!
