Their poorly hidden corporate plants do, however, plus there is the unemployed Natty J, en famille. Ramus’s fragile narcissism would likely go looking for any criticism or praise. They’ll be well aware that the peasants are revolting on here as well as in the cheap seats at SMS.

As soon as we were relegated the club needed a complete reset, and this doesn’t appear to have happened. This is squarely on Ankersen and Kraft, as despite Solak’s vow to be more ‘hands on’ there is zero evidence of this. On the face of it Wilcox was a good appointment, but other than recoup a huge amount of money for Sport Republic little appears to have been done culturally. A lot of us who were paying attention twenty years ago knew a relegation model for failure (Lowe) and a working model for promotion (Leibherr) already existed and assumed SR would choose the latter not former. To do this we needed to bring in a unifying manager and buy (not loan), experienced, committed players of a high quality for this league and focus squarely on winning football matches and building belief, support and momentum. Not rocket science but you need full buy in. Instead we have Sport Republic doubling down, zero urgency or spirit, bullshitting the fans over summer and fiddling whilst our club burns. We are worse than a laughing stock, we are currently perhaps the best model of failure in English football - that’s Ankersen’s fucking CV entry for what it’s worth.

Getting bullied here chaps, will be men v boys, a-fucking-gain.

Lots of unisex hairstyling in fluffy dressing gowns, rhythmic chanting, walking over hot coals, five yards sideways, bravery motivational talk with Bear Grylls and Matt Hancock, group love in led by Russ in the big beanbag room, young men window distraction / scar tissue awareness with Nathan Jones and Philip Schofield, zen anger release. Fin.

If they had appointed Viera in May I guarantee our goals against column and player cohesion stats would look somewhat different.

Especially when you consider the universal hatred of Russell Grant!

Yesterday evening bumped into a pal on the off chance. He runs a successful business locally and has solid links to senior ex-players and the club generally. We discussed RM and the Ipswich game and he told me Martin was a dead man walking, that he’d heard that SR have already decided to pull the plug. Thought it was tongue in cheek, wind up, but he was adamant. Not for one second suggesting ITK but maybe Solak has lost patience already. Martin’s press conferences either side of today’s debacle - bravery, singling out players, leaving a lovely club to come to Southampton, all the young coaches - showed a fragmenting man on the edge. Never nice to see a person in that position but our club needs stabilising right now. Poor bastard is out of his depth.

Plus talk less shite!

The bloke seems to be unravelling and talking absolute bollocks in recent interviews. This is deju vu with Jones and Selles, and like those two SR will wait until he’s had 15-20 games before they act, even though the fanbase and media can see they way this goes. Was hoping for a club reset over the summer but the best we could do now is to bring in an experienced martinet to keep us in this league and have a fucking good levelling in genuine preparation for next season. SR won’t, they are so weak it’s pitiful.

Plus nowhere near as brave. Pussies!

That was the excuse for Sunderland - 9.5 window 😂

Stunning and brave…

We are shite, but I genuinely didn’t expect that today. Pure chaos, apathy and capitulation, a heady mix. Wilcox needs to prove he’s part of the solution and not part of the problem, and the new ‘hands on’ Dragan needs to channel his inner Blofeld. Otherwise it’s going to get worse and we could go down. What a fucking shitshow!
-
He’ll start with the klippity hat on again. Tin foil liner.
-
Best player against Ipswich as well. Knows how far the club has fallen in his time.
-
If they pull the trigger on Martin I hope that they get a right shithouse in to rocket these saps! Pearson, Strachan, Koeman, Hughes would have the measure of this shower in under a week.
-
Ten stone Vardy had him on toast the other week.

Currently we are the easiest team in this league to play against. The opposition knows exactly what we are going to do and we are so inept that we telegraph it and effectively encourage them. We have a group of players who think they are too good for this league making schoolboy errors each game. We are regressing rather than imprisoving under Martin. This can’t continue, even at the expense of Wilcox and Ankersen’s egos.
-
Great. Long said AA needs to be first name on the teamsheet!
-
Fuck a duck - AA the immovable object!
-
Yes, to actually give himself a chance of staying in post Martin has to get a settled side with partnerships establishing. Bednarek and THB are probably the best we have when fit, and you’d think Charles and Downes are straight in as well. The biggest error will be trying to crowbar Adam Armstrong into the team as an auto starter. He’s got energy, but the time for this is the last 10 minutes when we should be seeing games out.

Will be someone who can grow a beard as all the Ankersen appointments have been bearded, even Natty J made an effort. On that basis Hayes wins over Still.

Are we allowed funky pitch designs again now?
Miltonaggro replied to Stripey McStripe Shirt's topic in The Saints
This is the Russball approved design. Not having this and Jack Stephens is what’s currently holding us back… -
He says we need to ‘get back on track’ but most of us can see that we only appear to have been ‘on track’ in one half of football this season - first game against Sheffield weds with Tella and Prowse pulling strings. Martin looks like a man under pressure attempting to wing it.
