  1. Gutted. Up to Nigel Pearson to send us up.
  2. Brilliant! If its tricky to sing, we could say 'used a get out of jail free card'?
  3. Excellent news. Seemed a good lad when I've spoken to him outside SMS & always has time 4 a quick chat with my 5 year old too. Should-a been a character witness too! Does this mean he's not f**king hard now though?
  4. Could be but he could also be taking the p*ss out of Posh supporting Adrian Durham in a workplace banter type way? Just like we all would. He's not worth worrying about IMO.
  5. Brilliant stuff from them to go on that sort of run, beating the great and the good of this league in the process. Just hope we can finish the job on Saturday and join 'em. Don't need any last day dramas!!
  6. COYR! You can do it & edge us that little bit closer to promotion. 3 defenders on the bench again though? Would've preferred to have had Punch to one of the full backs.
  7. Great stuff. Never really out of 2nd gear, never really needed to b against a poor Palace side. Kept ball well after 2nd goal to deny Palace a way back into the game, looked easy. Great support & noise from those of us there too. If that's injured Rickie, can't wait for him to be fit again...
  8. In the ground & ready for a great Saints away win. COYR!
  9. Tis Easter. Yesterday the team & I died when Norris' goal went in. Tomorrow we will be reborn against Palace before we go on to ascend to a higher place.
  10. Fast becoming our biggest problem in the run in. So should get the nod on Monday: Guly, Chaplow, De Ridder, Puncheon or even Falque? I think it'll be Chappers but I'm wondering if Falque could be put in as the surprise package?
  11. Quiet on this thread tonight...
  12. Billy definitely. Was Donny's penalty taker, missed some there but scored plenty of them too. He'll bounce back & he'll score the next one if Rickie's not available, IMO.
  13. Tadanari Lee-Barnard you mean?
  14. Reckon he'll start on the bench on Saturday, if he's fit; only to be used in an emergency!
  15. Not necessarily. I think he's making runs at the right time, the ball just needs to be released more quickly. Also needs a run of starts to settle in properly. Jos was shaky at the start but a run of games & he settled in fine. The run of games will let Billy learn our patterns of play & then we will see the real Billy Sharp.
  16. Shame but still enough there to win. Hope SRL will be fit for the Skates...
  17. We all know where we are now; let the final battle commence! Think we'll get something at Blackpool & something has to give between West Ham & Reading.
  18. Full drinks with canapes.
  19. When Palace sold Ian Wright to Arsenal and were linked with Alan Shearer as a replacement but ultimately ended up with Marco Gabbiadini, I seem to recall saying I wish we'd sold them Shearer and got Gabbiadini ourselves. I was mocked and derided by my friends. The time has now come for me to man up and say: "they were right". I have learnt since then and told anyone who'd listen (and many who didn't want to) that Adkins would be perfect for us, when he was first linked with the job. I like to think I called this one ok...
  20. They're going for relegation?
  21. If it was Barney, are you sure he said calm down?
  22. Great stuff. Just too Sharp for them weren't we? (Did you see what I did there!)
  23. Seen on a few threads thoughts on some of Nigel's post & pre match comments & it's made me wonder what sort of manager style (PR-wise) others would prefer? I think Nigel's "on the bus", "in the building" & "endeavouring to win football matches" are quite endearing although some would consider them a little dull considering how brilliantly he's done for us. To give some options, in (fairly) recent years we've had: Nigel's Nigelisms Harry Redknapp's front & bullsh*t Gordon Strachan's directness and (at times caustic) wit Lawrie McMenemy's larger than life personality Alan Ball's excitement and enthusiasm Steve Wigley's clueless clown act* *also purveyed by Ian Branfoot and Stuart Gray Any thoughts, anyone?
  24. Someone always survives. I've seen it in films. By my calculations it'll be Harry Redknapp.
