Ivan Katalinic's 'tache

Has this not been confirmed by Boro yet? Thought it was all but done? Wonder if there's been a Jutkie-hitch?

Shaping up to be a really interesting transfer window as far as new strikers goes. It's going to be interesting to see, when the window finally slams shut, which striker ultimately ends up with the longest thread. Lee leading the way at the moment, I guess, but Hooper showing some good potential here. All to play for, IMO.

If not, the poster of post 409 is bound to cover the full cost of the transfer. Over to you SG...

Was trying to think if I'd ever seen him play and it turns out I have: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/6602891.stm Must have come on quite a bit since his Southend days to be worth £6m now. Hopefully we'll get something done a.s.a.p., if he's the chap NA really wants.

So we can't sing this whilst we remain top then?

So is there any real prospect of this Falque signing then?

Agree with this. I'm sure he'd do well for us. Can't shake the nagging suspicion that Jut will also have had the most reasonable wage demands amongst a pretty equal group of supposed targets, Hooper excepted, & if we're not willing to pay top dollar, maybe he represented our best bet.

Just seen a thread on Cov forum saying Jutkiewicz will be off by the end of the week although Boro is his likely destination. Shame if true, IMO, as I think he could do a job for us. That said, it's a rumour on a messageboard so it comes with the usual caveats!

Didn't someone suggest "Lee will, Lee will rock you!" on another thread? Gets my vote.

If the bus was to pick him up from the airport, this may speed things up.

There are always plenty of horse heads. Every time one is put down at a race meet, who do you think collects the carcass?

Excellent news. Hopefully, all the hype on the OS means his arrival at SMS will be worth the wait! Fingers crossed he's not the only new arrival into the building.

Absolutely. Was kind of hoping something would be done early this week to at least allow a small period of integration before the Forest game. Still, in NA we trust; not got much wrong so far, has he?!

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7422769/Fontaine-signs-new-City-deal Looks like Liam Fontaine won't be our centre back reinforcement then...

Maybe he's cover for the right side of midfield while Chaplow & possibly Guly are unavailable?

Could we take over the loan from Spurs? Is that possible?

Adkins did mention loans so maybe this is the loan? Just the permanent mega signing now Nige!

Didn't sign yesterday then, although a specific date for a Monday signing wasn't given...

My wife deals with (student) visas & stuff (not going to pretend I understand) but she tells me he was probably here on some short term sporting visa but will need to return home initially before his full time work permit is approved (probably not the correct the terminology but I think you get the gist).

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7420724/Rovers-to-fight-for-Sharp Funny, he may go nowhere at all...

It's Freddie Sears. He's a West Ham player who has been on loan at Scunny.

Any news on why he wasn't playing today?

Actually, thinking about it, it's gone rather quiet from those who have said they know someone who knows him... Maybe it's all gone quiet because that's the way we do our business? Or maybe it's because nothing is happening! Think it'll be an interesting week if we're looking for signings before Forest.

I guess we should've asked the most obvious question too... source?
