Interesting conundrum for Saints. Do we spend money on Jack Stephens, which could help Argyle through to the season's end, or do we not sign him now (& try to sign him as a free agent if they went bust) which would also enhance our auto promotion prospects???

Why would a club in big trouble be trying to spend £125k on a 17 year old apprentice from Plymouth??? Or maybe we've had to get rid of all of our apprentices to sign him? Whatever, sack the board etc etc

My son is nearly 5 and is about to break into double figures gameswise. Loves going, knows most of the (clean) songs and I'd agree with the fella who said that it's the atmosphere which hooks them (that and Jaidi's goal celebrations in recent games).

Good signing hopefully, promising player scouted by Prem clubs. Isn't there a rule which says loan deals can be made permanent at any time during the course of the loan? Might explain the bit about us "making an offer" to Oldham (although that could just as easily be us agreeing and paying a loan fee)?

Echo says that, in addition to the rumour about Dale Stephens of Oldham, we've also had Gary Liddle of Hartlepool scouted recently. Interesting to see whether either club, pushing for the playoffs, would want to loan to us at this stage of the season?

Surely that in itself would make it all the more disgusting and disappointing that we'd not gone up in the first place...?

If he could also play centre mid so as to cover Deano, Chappers, Adam and Oxo - even better!!

And Michael Stewart has joined Charlton after being out of contract from a Turkish club. Only 30, done well in SPL, could've missed out there as he seems a reasonably competent centre mid.

Highly rated youngster, I know that much. No idea if we are signing him though, I'm IKT not ITK.

Disappointed but still in our own hands which is important. What is more concerning is the injuries to Lallana and Oxo. Definitely need midfield reinforcements not just others who can do a job there. Two days to secure us the best possible chance of promotion.
