Not been the same since Paul Mitchell took his black box with him, to be fair...

Does this mean the "Dele Alli, what a wanker" chant still stands?

Could we about to bring in Sam Johnstone??? Probably more BS but at least it's some news on Deadline Day... 😂

Still on a par with Walcott and Long. [Sorry Theo and Shane...]

Ah, but he could be with his best pal Kyle if he came to us... 🤔

No idea if this guy knows anything but he did tweet something similar about Adam Armstrong the day before he signed...

I think I'd be ok with that. He came in at a time when we were playing poorly, last season, and struggled a bit after a promising start. We're playing quite well right now though and he's got a few goals for Liverpool this season, plus you'd assume he wouldn't take long to reintegrate having been here before, Ralph clearly likes him so he might be worth another go when we're not so desperate.

If we are interested, maybe the plan is to borrow Dele for 6 months and, if he shines, it helps all parties. We get a great player for a few months; Spurs get a more saleable asset; Dele gets a move to a bigger side he fancies. If it doesn't come off, he goes back to the Spurs bench or to whoever they can palm him off to and we have no obligation to keep him. And, regardless, we then move on to Tino Anjorin in the summer, which is the way that particular deal is heading.

Not mentioned directly here in this from the Mail (via Sky) although we could be "among the clutch", I guess. Surely if Brighton and Burnley are the size of clubs interested, that wouldn't rule us out (if we actually want him)?

I guess we don't yet know how the takeover will really affect our ability in the transfer market. It would be a departure from our usual style of buy but, if Ralph thinks he would fit in and he could get him firing again, I think it'd be worth it. Whilst Dragan says he won't be spending £500m on players, it would be nice to think we could fund the right players in terms of wages and eventual transfer fees, if we felt it the right thing to do. It might also send the message we're not quite the debt-ridden paupers we used to be.

To provide some context, is your name Mr Robbie?

Linked again with Alli here. Alasdair Gold is apparently the "Tottenham Hotspur correspondent for football.london" according to his Twitter profile.

I know it's all about who's been lumping the money on but interesting to see the odds shorten dramatically nonetheless?
-
If we are really interested, let's hope Dele saw the "Dele Alli, what a wanker..." chants the crowd aimed at him at our recent home match with Spurs as just a bit of 'workplace banter'...

I think we might see a Saintsy style last minute deal, if the right player becomes available. Maybe the young forward from Hull, Lewis-Potter?
