I guess another question is, if he were to go to the US now, would we get a transfer fee as he's still under contract???

IMO, he's crucial to us if we have any hope of staying up (if Rupes says we're allowed to play him, that is!). Wouldn't blame him for wanting to go, though, given the appalling way we've treated our experienced pros this year.

2 things: 1) Is Wotte crazy in being happy with a squad that has comfortably got us to next to bottom in the league and; 2) What would he know about transfers - I thought that was Rupert's department???

There were rumours of Crouch having a proven English manager lined up and he was at SMS at the weekend. Stranger things have happened. His comments about the side needing more experience could've been said by Crouch himself and he did seem far more gutted that lost than Wotte.

Have we been linked with this player or is it just wishful thinkig? By the sounds of it, if Wotte is going to recall Nathan Dyer, we may not need another winger.

Seeing as there's still no news as to who this mystery club is, it makes me wonder if it's FC Twente and was in some way tied in to our move for Denneboom and that's why the latter deal fell through? Wotte did say we needed to be more creative in our dealings and a player swap could cost little.
