RM is a managerial genius compared to this gimp
-
Its already untenable
-
https://gianlucadimarzio.com/inter-mlacic-16-gennaio-2026/ If we did somehow pull this off and he chose us over Inter, an 18 year CB is hardly what we need right now. But theres a few million for SR to make when we sell him on in 2/3 years
-
I suspect you mean Downes. The yank hasnt been here long enough to be a bad egg, and hes just shit which is more of an issue
-
I think we can stop looking up the table. Only 9 points above the relegation zone which will no doubt be less by the time we lose at Fratton (guaranteed with our mentally weak team). Its pretty dire right now. Do I think somebody else could take the job and get us playing better and win more games than TE? Yes, but then the worry is we have another short term fix situation (like we did with Mark Hughes) and we'll be looking for their replacement this time next season at best. Unless we can appoint a manager who has the credentials to get us promoted next season (and I dont trust SR to get it right), we're likely stuck with TE for the season. Need to just hope he can get enough results for us to stay in the league. Embarrassing that it has come to this.

Yes https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-middlesbrough/stadion/verein/641

I've been assuming that AMcC would have been off about 5 transfer windows ago, but he keeps hanging around. No doubt when he does leave, it'll be to become our new GK coach 😂😂
-
Based on his results as interim boss and the fact we failed to identify and appoint our number 1 or even number 2 choice candidates - yes Based on his non-existent managerial experience, never mind overseeing a basket case club like ourselves - definitely not Like other posters have suggested, I genuinely believe the club wanted GO'N but were forced to back out of appointing him. We then drifted hoping that a good candidate would present themselves, but in the end TEs results gave Spors an easy way out
-
While his loan hasnt worked out, hes been deemed good enough to get game time for Bayern Munich. Hopefully hes as good as our last signing from Bayern
-
Fair enough, didnt realise his numbers were that high. But thats still less than the numbers that Azaz has put up, and about the same as Scienza (who again only plays about an hour)
-
And who started ahead of Charles in the playoff final, your mate Aribo and Will Smallbone 😂. Top quality there. No 'lego fan boy' whatever that is, but RMs tenure is going to look much better come the end of the season when we dont even make the playoffs
-
I'll give you Che Adams and KWP. We could definitely do with both right now. But Bednarek was average in the Championship and we still conceded a heap. As for Brooks, he is a quality player but he did very little for us on loan. And Fraser....we now have Scienza, Azaz and Fellows. All arguably better wide options than what Fraser offered two years ago (Scienza and Fellows definitely) I said squad and the players you picked were mostly starters. If you look at the bench in the playoff final - Lumley, Manning, Edozie, Rothwell, Stewart, Bree, Charles and Sulemana. Its literally much of the same of what we have now

Pages 5, 6, 7 on this thread filled with high praise from everybody. Fast forward exactly a month and some want TE gone. Of course viewpoints can quickly change based on performances....but a month, really? Just shows how absurd the modern game has become. A couple of defeats and fans expect a new face Thats fans of all teams not just us - just look at Liverpool fans views on Slot now compared to a few months ago. Whether we give TE the season or not matters little to me. The problems at this club run much deeper than the manager. Similarly it doesnt matter if we get promoted or we dont, there needs to be significant changes in the summer regardless. Our squad is miles off competing in the PL and if we we're still in the Championship then we need to stop relying on the same shit approach (players, recruitment, scouting, everything) and hoping that it will all work out
-
Some of the players are shite. But then again Russell Martin got the same players promoted, in fact he probably had a worse squad. TE was never the long term answer, but the results were very good and there were no other realistic managerial options at the time. The problem is, and like Still found out before him, these players will not fight for TE when the going gets tough. He has no experience, possibly out of his depth, wasnt a player himself etc etc - these players will look for any excuse instead of looking inward
-
Tonda is the Saganowski of management. As soon as we give him the permanent job the performances are through the floor. Crap again against a mangerless team 😂😂😂 pathetic
-
A must win in December? If we really have any hope of 2nd (unlikely the way we defend) or the playoffs, we simply need to win these kind of games. But then we lost to one of the teams below them. Going for an edgy 2-1 win

Damion Downs - Official: Loaned to Hamburg
woodsaint1 replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Would not be surprised to see him loaned back to Germany or similar in January. It just hasnt worked out. He'll likely stay on our books for multiple loans as nobody will be willing to pay close to what we paid for him (like an attacking ABK). Would like to see us target a loan striker in January. Bound to be somebody decent in the PL looking minutes -
The new Danny Fox. Great left peg who chips in with some super goals and assists.....but defensively diabolical
-
I hope its not going to be the managerial equivalent of Marek Saganowski. Unbelievable when the possibility of a permanent job is dangling in front of him, but you can bet that once we appoint him permanently, it just wont be as good. Just keep him in temporary charge the rest of the season 😂

Page 4 of this thread is an epic read Dont be deleting your posts 😂

It seems too obvious that we're holding out for somebody currently in a job. Corberan being the most likely given our previous links
-
Appreciate that, but thats not my point. It's waiting on a manager who is stinking the place out in his current job
-
On Corberan.....it would be very SR to be waiting on a manager to be sacked Clueless twats
-
Its not hate. Its being realistic with what we've witnessed so far. We got battered by an average QPR team and were very lucky to hang on. And as for yesterday, it wouldnt take much coaching to beat Wednesday. He may have potential, but he hasnt managed at senior level. We've tried the caretaker to permanent boss experiment previously with no success. Interesting though, Eckert was assistant to Patrick Vieira at Genoa. With Vieira now available we could see that pairing again
