  1. Was he even that good of a player?
  2. I wouldn't say they're the same but fair enough, appreciate you may.
  3. Ha, shit, I knew that! Well, my point wasn't technically incorrect.
  4. Always been the way, people are always going to judge people's "legend" on both on and off the field antics. You don't see people clambering for OJ to top the NBA hall of fame and he was an all time great on the field. It's likely players like Giggs and Le Tissier who behave badly/compare covid to the holocaust will be less popular for a spot in the HoF.
  5. Would be absolutely bizarre if he wants to stay. He's around the peak of his career, can move to win something and earn a lot more money - and avoid next season's relegation battle. If he wants to stay that's brilliant but hard to understand.
  6. Because we're crap. When we were on form earlier in the season we were scoring for fun. I don't think the approach has changed just the form has plummeted.
  7. I think the premise is very attacking but when it doesn't work out attack is incredibly blunt and our defence remains vulnerable. All in all it's a very unbalanced strategy which can work brilliantly but when it isn't working pretty much guarantees we lose. The fact we very rarely draw reflects this.
  8. JV talking to Roma according to an article linked by the beeb. I like him, but getting a bidding war going would be a good way to get a large chunk of money in. Him and Smalling together would be glacial mind.
  9. Playing Ralph's 4-2-2-2 relies on the players all being in top shape and top form, and when that's the case it's brilliant. You get lots of concentration of attacking options, slick movement and lots of opportunities. When players are not fully fit or in form it falls apart dramatically because it's essentially Keegan-esc all out attack. We need to have a conservative alternative we can shift to when it's not working, a traditional 4-3-3 is the easiest shift as mentioned above.
  10. Sounds like he was sacked for protesting against the super league, which with the 6 English teams involved, pretty much ends his time in England. Wonder if he'll call it a day/go for a swansong back to Porto.
  11. Well that's England f*cked! Pope Cash Smalling Mings Bertrand Phillips Rice Grealish Sancho Barnes Calvert-Lewin
  12. I'd hope that now Fulham have decided to give up that we might give the youngsters some game time in the remaining matches. JWP and Diallo isn't the most functional pair so wouldn't mind seeing a few more Jankewitz high tackles.
  13. No goalkeepers in the Prem called Gustav, so that's a worry.
  14. We concede a lot now because we play kamikaze football. Our defensive personnel are better.
  15. Wouldn't be beyond thinking, that is JV left, we would bring in Hoedt as backup to Salisu and Bednerek. Not a nice thought mind. The Hughes days of Hoedt and Stephens as first choice ahead of JB and JV are haunting.
  16. If you think my post is "losing my shit", you should see me angry.
  17. Yeah, JWP really isn't "too nice". He's just not particularly good at non-set piece football, just a solid lower premier league player.
  18. Guess the test will be when we're in a financially better situation if they take more of a moral stance. Personally I'd see betting sponsorship banned, but its clearly the most lucrative path at the moment.
  19. Le Tissier compared lockdown to the holocaust and Lambert shared a post that said Covid is an attempt to enforce communism. Both those things deserve ridicule.
  20. You'd have to add Ings and Vestegaard to that for a combined £40-50 mill. Hopefully we'll be assertive and spend some money on a reasonably proven striker. I'd assume we'll be putting our faith in Salisu next season alongside Bednerek, but we'll need an additional CB for depth, preferably one who can play full back as well, the lad from Spurs would be ideal but doubt he'd come here if not guarantee to start.
  21. Che is good enough as a second striker. His work rate and teamwork are great to have around more prolific strike partners. He's also pretty good on the ball and I expect he's notched up a similar amount of goals to assists. Assuming Ings goes in the summer, I wouldn't be looking to lose Che too.
  22. You're saying we should live in a world where noone shares their opinions on other people's opinions? Baffling.
  23. Oh no, please tell me you're kidding? My favourite ever player, would be gutted. Nothing wrong with not being particularly intelligent but there is with not realising it.
  24. Ah, that would explain the relatively modest price.
  25. Would be a good signing, though I'd be surprised if it's not higher than the 12-15 mill in the article.
