Long enough to clearly remember the spring of '05 :sick-emoji:
-
Yeah. I always thought it was a bit silly to make a blanket statement like that. Valery clearly has the ability to be have a career as a professional footballer somewhere in the top two divisions, a successful loan could easily see him rekindle his Southampton future.
-
I needed this, really brings a point of perspective. Things really aren't that bad.
-
Isn't he purely a right back? Or can he play both sides?
-
He's been a victim of his own versatility and being a good pro at Arsenal, can't blame him for forcing his chance at CM at this stage.
-
King would be a decent signing but no chance. He will be able to get himself a cracking move on a free in the summer.
-
If Ralph is happy to stay long term then I'm more than happy to avoid short term fixes and sort the squad out long term. Hell of an "if" though.
-
Yeah. The penalty I can accept as there is a rule for that circumstance. But this one is down to the dragging of a line, which could have gone either way. Utter madness
-
They have a lot more quality in attack and it shows, even when we have more of the play.
-
Talking to Arsenal fans, sounds like he's a victim of his own versatility (or willingness to be). Hes not really a full back, but very talented further forward.
-
Yep, with Liverpool being desperate, could be willing to pay a fair bit.
-
Assuming Ralph was paying attention during Tuesday's game, I think this is a given.
-
To be fair, they were quite similar footballers, power forwards. Drogba had a bit more in the locker though.
-
I know there a lot of 4-2-2-2 evangelists on here, but wouldn't there be some sense in finding a way to go to 5 at the back just to give V-squared the chance to have a decent half? Maybe drop Diallo back in to a 3.
-
True, though his stock is very high now which is why the big clubs are interested. There is a chance his form drops off next season and the better offers will come from mid-table teams instead. This is definitely the most certain time to secure a move to a champions league club.

Nonsense. Players warming up in "Danny Please Stay" t-shirts on Saturday hopefully.
-
He liked the last 2 Southampton Instagram posts, the tease.
-
Could it make more sense to try and sell him now? Get more money and have half a season to adjust.
-
Indeed. Still feels like a very cheap price though.
-
£2 million! Either Bayer have a crack negotiating team, or there is something off with Gray that is keeping the price down.

Problem with Chinese money is you have to pay 100% tax to take it out the country, so 9% is a snip.
