  1. I'd be content with another 2 seasons with Ralph. 3 1/2 years would be the longest in my living memory and would leave us in good condition - as long as we don't cock up his replacement.
  2. Redmond is clearly a confidence player, but in my opinion when he's not at his best he's still a good player (good in transition, good team player) and when he's at his best he's a superb player.
  3. Anyone know who's coming in for them? Kenny, Sigurðsson and Iwobi?
  4. I see Radhi has finished his secondment, anyone know if it was considered a success?
  5. Great news! I can imagine there was/is a temptation to sell him at his peak (£50/60m?), however, having him as a talisman for the next few years will be huge and should be worth much more than that.
  6. He's decent on the ball, does well carrying it forward and picking out a pass - which is a useful added dimension to the attack. As mentioned he's very slow to get back, will just need to ensure that Diallo/Romeu is covering him.
  7. Funny how our historic recruits seem more impressive with Ralph as manager. I suspect Messi might have looked pretty poor under MoPo.
  8. Playing a defensive formation and then having Mount as one of the forwards really is as depressing as it gets.
  9. There must either be a personality clash or GS feels he's weak in a critical area in this boring style of football - otherwise I don't get it, he's in red hot form and was MotM against Wales!
  10. Indeed. Though, if I were him I'd just go to a low intensity league, be a big fish, win some trophies and make some money - rather than struggle on in the prem.
  11. We've had some success there in recent seasons and I still remember the 4-2 from 20ish years ago fondly. It's almost impossible to say, both teams are fairly kamikaze in their approach so it really could go either way - but I'm feeling confident after a couple of solid performances, 3-1 Saints.
  12. I think it'll be interesting to see which position he plays in eventually. He looks very direct when he comes off the bench, which is great as a contrast to Redmond, but unlikely how Ralph would want him to play if starting.
  13. In recent seasons our away support is mostly made up of small headed teenagers who drink Stella from 6am, say "mush" every 4th word and complain continuously that people aren't being "good enough fans" - deserve to be arrested.
  14. Really good player for us in our highest placing team of the Premier League era, perfect player when surrounded by flair players.
  15. The Athletic have just churned out quite an interesting article on the transfer, certainly makes it seem very positive.
  16. I think Brighton look pretty good, albeit form is temporary. Burnley sound like they're a mess, I could see SD walking and them dropping like a stone. I would say them and Fulham and West Brom is a safe bet, expect Wilder will graft SU out of trouble.
  17. One reason why I'm confident our transfer dealings will improve is because we have a top manager who genuinely develops players. I know we've bought some dross over the years but it can't have been easy coming in with Puel, Pellegrino or Hughes waiting for you.
  18. I would have thought we're well covered at CB, fairly well covered at RB (albeit would be a bit of a drop if KWP were to get injured) and a bit thin at left back.
  19. Left back?
  20. Suspect footballers might be a bit wary booking private jets post Sala
  21. I'd say 60k pw, no fee, for a reasonably proven premier league attacker + nostalgia is worth a go. Hopefully can bring some experience/mentoring for the likes of Obafemi and Tella. Then if he's great, he's available on a free next year.
  22. Wouldn't mind Walcott as long as we don't pay through the nose. He could play either wide or up front, I wonder if this may pave the way for Obafemi to go on loan.
  23. According to wiki he only played 13 times last season
  24. Some good news on Diallo
