Well if that is a knee jerk condition, keep jerking, jerk, jerk...... Well said!! You see the picture simply and clearly. "The truth is there IF you look for it"

I think all this attention on Ralf is another example of how most people (pony) rate him as an excellent manager and is getting good results out of a limited budget team. We play a style that is pleasing to most fans. To suggest a contracted Manager in your own league shows alot of positives for Ralf and Saints, we are flattered but.......pony off! He is not done with this masterpiece he is sculpting SFC.

I think the players finally got it! Ralfs playbook is all about his pressing style and the automism within it. I like most thought wtf with the 9-0 drubbing, but right there he showed he was not going to back down from his press. I look back and think he said 1-0 or 9-0, I want you to keep practicing the press. We have to get it right! Shut up shop was not in his mind. In the summer he brought in players to compliment the press, trained all summer on the press and automism. Players now seem to understand what is required, our press is the best in the league! We have better coverage at the back and the off ball marking has improved. We now get all three teams now beginning to win using the playbook. It has taken a while, but what Ralf was trying to introduce was very difficult. Anyone who has played ball will know the style we play is very difficult achieve tactically and physically. We have recruited the right players and taken a couple of years to get it to this point. I think there is more to come as the playbook is ingrained further and the players improve with a clear path on what is needed. This year we have the press and automism working much better, step one completed, so Ralf has added better game control/ management. We press and rest intelligently. We will defend a lead in the second half if needed and getting better at it. Players are improving under him and the team cohesion and attitude looks great. My rose tinted glasses are full red, white and black! March on and up Saints!

You are a piece of work! U look at the likes you get , always the same old grumpy asses, negative, bullies that constantly try to derail an intelligent discussion with your negative drivile. You and your bully gang try to shit on anything positive. I read all post and I have my opinion of who understands football and who doesn't, I have seen your gang wrong on so many occasions and derail a good discussion to petty insults consistently. Your input is rarely insightful but most certainly going to be insulting! Come on give me shit, it is what your gang does best! Ps keep up the good work Twar and the like! Very intelligent postings, let me repeat it for the bully gang, VERY INTELLIGENT POST.

I keep seeing this, the chealsea loaner, Broga over our own strikers? I can see he is a special tallented kid, but each time he plays he is taking time away from the strikers we have brought and need to get scoring. I am all for playing the kid every now and then, but to bench our other strikers could be detrimental to the team long term. We can win without him. I don't know if Broga will ever be our player permanently, would love it to happen, but for now he cannot block the path of our permanent strikers who need to gain their form and confidence. I love the pressure he has put on them and I hope he will be a Saints signing one day.........

No to Eddie, I will stick with the big man! Well played Ralf and team, it is getting better each game, players are getting the system Ralf has employed and executing it much more effectively. He may be my favorite coach of all time. Why you say dat...many of the none Ralf fans cry out....because of the Man has a plan! A bloody playbook! A style that is exciting, brave, energetic and full of automism , I am learning Ralfy. He has employed the press better than any manager has, ( yes, better than Poch) but it took awhile, alot of triggers needed to be learned, pressing as a team, covering the spaces left by the pressure, etc. Ralf is so committed to his style he will not change his plans even when we are getting thumped, keep pressing, stretching, learn it as we loose, because we have to get it right! Tella's preseason interview confirmed that Ralf was drilling the press into them, so much that Tella thought we are much better at it and "any team that can defeat our press has done very well". I see it for myself, and it looks alot more solid, our defensive record is improving as we get better at the system. This is a very difficult system, even the master, Beliesa was shown how it is done! Ralf's passion to do better is infectious, he is totally living the game as it goes on. The recruiting since he has been here is excellent for the budget we have. Even the so called usless players (moi, redder, dj) are now being seen as good players, that is good coaching. Ralf may not be everyones cup of tea, but for me I would have no one else, a big man, big character, big ideas, big results and I big up my coach. Thank you for making Saints exciting again, win or loss, it is usually exciting ball. Ps. Found it very amusing watching Manu trying to press when they were loosing, not a CLUE! with the intro of Ronaldo this season, they will never be able to press a team effectively again. If it is a half hearted press it will fail and leave you more exposed. BIG UP THE TEAM, THEY ALL PLAYED VERY WELL!

Looks like the helmet has come here , now ruining our forum..... please Mister....Can you vacate the premises.
-
He was one footed, coming in low, did not slide through the cheat on a stonking wet surface, he collapsed his legs, reduced momentum, and tried to pull out of tackle. Result.. just caught cheats ankle, dramatic head snap back and collapse in a dramatic heap, no medical needed, cheat just up and ran around. This was a poorly timed challenge, no malice, no follow through, no injury! A yellow card was sufficient, the obvious attempt to upgrade it to red was needed to change the game for the bigger team as we were holding our own. It was not going to the preconceived result, Chelsea had had some poor results and needed a pick me up, even the announcers cheered up after the sending off, they could now gush over Chelsea . We were a sacrificial Saint again to those clowns 🤡 called refs.
-
It is pretty obvious your IQ is not up to others who post. They are far more sensible in their logic and understanding of the game. I am happy you got to play the beautiful game to a decent level from what you say. That I respect! But your years of trying to dominate a topic, derailing with petty arguments, never admitted wrong doing is what destroys the good you have to contribute to the forum.

Are you in love with a Ref? Were you a ref? Because you do not see it the way most of us do. How about this, " the refs GENERALLY give the bigger teams the calls". I saw it all game during our match against 13 man Manshitty. Ref tried his hardest to win city that game, actually took that possible win from us with that atrocious pen call. Play on for every time we were hacked down, playing extra, EXTRA time because city had the ball and were attacking. Looking a thousand times at VAR to find something to make Sterlings goal stand. Yet out pen shout got short changed! If you can't see the ref bias against us and how many points they take from us over the seasons because of their terrible, actually criminal calls against us, then you are blind. Why they do it, I don't know? but the bullshit that they are all doing their best, unbiased referee of the game is laughable. LOOK AT THE HYPOCRITE CALLS! They are not incorruptible, infallible robots, they go out there with bias and favorites, and have been proven to be corruptible or petty with their decision making in all sports! Some sports have worked hard to eliminate these bias water blob decision makers with better, clearer rules, more transparency in their decisions making(mics) and use of tech better. Ruggers and Cricky are great examples. But noooooooo....our FA rewards the corrupt! Same cheaters every year dispite their obvious mistakes, we bring in VAR and more refs to make the right calls and they still fuck it up? Like blatant use of the tech to back up the refs decision, smh. It took a couple of years to neuter VAR to a point it doesn't overrule the refs. We don't get to hear the convo from the refs, so they still have complete anonymous control of the game. You use the cheating calls against CR7 as an example of no top 6 bias, but do you agree with the calls? I think he was fouled and a pen should have been given, but the ref had a bias against him and used that to try to change the result of the game, KARMA overruled the cheater ref. Do you not see that bias applied to the smaller clubs more frequently than the golden boys? Do you not see the things they get away with that we get punished for? 👀

Moussa oh Moussa don't worry about our fans opinions of your qualities. Our fans have such a bad reputation of writing off players because they lack the ability to see what a good player is. They ignore your accomplishments to get here, that pro scouts and coaches have seen you as a talent and committed to your future. I see ( and Ralf) your talent, desire and hunger to play ball, I see the off ball effort you make to get involved. You give my team everything you have got and I appreciate it and you. Please don't let the doubters bring you down. I will support you as I did when JWP, DIALLO, MOI or even Mane was deemed not good enough by our quick to wrongly judge fans. I saw the game reactions to NFC , do you speak to your family like that? This is our team/family! How can you shit all over your family and expect positive things? Tell your son when he is trying his best he is a useless cunt", really, is that how your inspire or help them to be better? Please read over that thread, when we went down 2-1, posters, supposedly Fans attacked our family with vile and contempt. What nasty bastards some of you are, when it gets tough, you shite all over your own family. I would never go to war with your lot.

Well, it is official, the new strategy is obviously "buy the best youth players we can get". We are targeting the best young up and coming youth players that the present clubs do not want to sell !! but the word is out, we have a coach that wants a team of young star players, and they will be given a chance, and they are actually coming here!! This is the key, they now want to come here! Excellent!! For around 5 mil we are able to get very tallented young men that can be ready for the step up to first team quite quickly, with their potential already discovered ( best of breed) we just have to continue to developed these future Stars. I love this strategy. It is the only sensible way for a club our size to improve our team qualities. We used to buy around the 15mill player already seasoned and ready to go into first team, but it had gotten harder and harder to find the really good players at that bracket, now many average players are asking that fee, and we got screwed with quite a few dross that were not worth the contracts and then hampers us financially. So we leave the over inflated established player market as it get more difficult to get a star at our price levels, and tap up the best of the teenager star market, Brilliant 👏. 4 players with huge potential vs one 20mill established player that could be an expensive flop is far more sensible to me. I am really excited for our club, the new super kids coming in give me great hope we are still heading in the right direction just doing it differently, smarter, and more in line with what Ralf wants. Players who will run their ass off implementing one of the hardest systems to master. If Ralf and playbook can stick around long enough to see this come to fruition, we may well be mixing it up with the big teams. I hope he does.

Fucking get in there !!!! DID NOT DESERVE TO LOSE THAT!
-
Well said! Some pragmatism there. If people would erase their early opinions on him and just keep an open mind on his ability, his stats on loan and his return are good enough to be excited about. Is this not what we wanted? A player many, very many have written off as not good enough, goes out on loan, does well, gets valuable experience CL/EL, and come back and is performing well in training. Ralf tells you he is doing well, and then he show it against weaker opposition, yet we still want to stick to the old mantra.......... By the stats of that game, he was the best of our bunch! Give the guy a break, he is a SAINTS player, one of ours! He is trying his best, so let's give him some fuxking support!
-
We have a Brazillian/Serbian! 6'2, hopefully with the skill worthy of the beautiful game and the grit and toughness of the Serbs. Played for the U23, U20 Brazilian national team, U18 Serbia NT so must have potential, might be great business if his talent lives up to pedigree. SAMBA SAINTS!

I think Ralf will get to show again that his automism, high press and playbook for all, will show how effective it can be. It is a difficult system to perfect, even the Don Beliesia has trouble mastering his own system. The new players are exciting and seem to fit Ralph main criteria, STAMINA, it is essential to the press, can't do anything without it, every player is expected to close down as a team, quickly, squeezing to designated areas and put in a tackle! Tella's interview hammered home that the press is the first line of attack and defense. Everyone is learning the triggers to close a team down! " If they can get out of our press they have done very well" was how he felt the press/traps were improving in training recently. Ralf's high risk, high rewardand system showed it worked last year for a spell, but because Ralf plan is always to press a team to death, if we are having an off day or injuries then it was easy to pass around our press, we were wasting energy chasing shadows. Some players were not up to it, it is a tireless and mostly unrewarded task to close down and harass, easier to back off and let them come to you, this was Bertrand, love the guy but he was not up to chasing all game. But Ralf is..... The press was present during both games, Manu was a better display, we were able to press for most of the game and made Manu very uncomfortable. The team keeping up the energy and pressure all game. We are much better suited to the press with the new players. To get the young players we have brought in is GENIUS, this is how he worked a RB, best young talent, that can run their ass off for your demanding high risk/reward system. These kids are the best of breed! Insane 👏 for the money spent. We have now become fashionable for tallented young players to get PL game time, I hope more are on the horizon. Was it luck or Ralfs/Semmens vision that has convinced them? They will know of the playbook and what it demands and doesn't seem to dissuade them. We have seen how it can overcome the billion dollar teams and compete with "lesser" players. Poch and Ralf are using intelligent hard work press to overcome the quality of the top clubs and inequality of the financial power. So here it goes Saints fans, Ralf has more deciples to spread his press, will you help back this ambitious Coach and team to great heights, we have been to the mountain top before, can we make the summit again? Maybe stick around a bit.
-
The interview with Tella was excellent, the kid has all the attributes to make it big in the PL if he can stay injury free. A young kid who has talent, and is not taking anything for granted, working hard, listening, learning and laughing it all makes a great prospect. His thoughts on seeing our ground and facility were priceless. His enjoyment of training next to the first team, learning the press, which he explained is key to Ralf style " if you get out of our press, you did very well", indicates it is more press, with more press. We have seen this get crushed when we tire or expose our back line with the press, but we have also seen it dominate teams and unsettle others. I digress, back to Tella, I think his insite on how he broke into the first team has given other young players the thought that SFC is a place they can be seen and given the chance, if they put in the hard work. Training next to the first team, given the same playbook and treatment as the first team will encourage a young player that the PL is attainable, IF you have the talent......thus the new Chelsea signings, possibly the Everton wonder kid, all to help fill out that training pitch with young, very talented players that can attract the eye of the Coach. I love the story Tella gave that he got up in the last few min off the bench to warm up, no coach asked him to, in the hopes of getting on, He caught Ralfs eye and got his first PL game time, he could not stop smiling, I remember that smile that day, now I know how cheeky it was. Good on ya lad, you are a credit to the youth. Shout out to Turk for posting it. Ps. he will he off to Arsenel when he reaches his potential. But hopefully for good $$$$$$$.
-
So your opinions on other teams players or who we buy is irrelevant because you don't watch other teams, got it!
-
Lol, are you serious? Can't watch the other 11 players on the field? Your childish digging at twar is very immature. Most on here see you and company as negative Nancy,s. Twar had bested you with grace and intelligence, yet your retorts are petty and infantile. You look to denigrate him at every chance why? Because his opinions are better, more liked, challenges your opinions with sense not gibberish. And if he is wrong will admit it. Heil SKD, wanna jump in? I applauded you SKD, you have been better with your posting style, there was some positive things and acceptance of others opinions that did not go unnoticed. Not perfect but the change was welcome! Saints warriors prepare for battle!
-
Good shout very solid keeper! Was hoping we could get him, but never mentioned in any rumors, and would he go from Manu to Saints?
-
This is what I was thinking, Ralf likes to press from the front, if the strikers do not do this then we are missing one of his core tactics. No hang at the top, walk around, let the defender walk past you. FANNY Danny was great at the front press, he knew how to squeeze the defender down one side into a trap or hustle them into a mistakes. Edit: I was not talking about Minamino.

There is a thin line between love and hate..... The love: take a gamble on one of our "own", buy whilst broken, rehabilitation, resurrection of career, fought together and lost together, great set ups, great goals, great celebrations, great despair. All whilst becoming a leader of the Saints team/tribe/warriors. The hate: refusing to sign a new contract, leaving a team that has done everything to get you to be the best you have ever been, trotting off to dubiously greener pastures. fanny Danny has fallen into the hate category, with so many others we have had leave us when they thought they are too good for us. As any enemy on the field, he will get no applause from me, no well wishes, he is dead to me.....
