  1. Because tot spurts were supposed to win! The ref tried his best to make it happen, but SPURTS were that poor and we were that good. It is blatant cheating by the official, it was a foul and a head injury, only a bias/corruptible ref would not call that! They tried to change the outcome, just like they did last time we played them (we we all over them, then a week sending off). If that offside was just a little bit iffy, then would have played on, but it was so blatant, they had to RELUCTANTLY call their equalizer off side. What a sweet victory, March on Saints!
  2. We have make up games for Newtent and Everton, both being lauded over by the press. I think we will be jammed by the 12th man again 😭 I see bias already creeping into the favorite clubs for the top half. The dream of "we are a top 6" dugout team, has a new darling manager, that the press will cheer for success. Newtent for all the monies they will spend to create the next super team, the PL will lap that shit up, money, money, money πŸ’° . I hope we beat them both, despite the best efforts of the refs to hand them the points. Wait and see, watch and see, my gut says we will not see a game fairly reffed from our point of view.
  3. Prayers out to you Minsk πŸ™ , good vibes for a great fan and poster! MARCH ON MINSK!!
  4. CHELSEA owe us, we have hampered City twice this season. Loan us a player to take points off your rivals, we'll we did our part. Now it is up to Chelsea to take advantage of city dropped points. I hope they sell with buyback clause. We are a very good for for him, he is doing well. We are playing the type of football that would develop Broja into the type of player that will be accustomed to the modern game of high press and appeal to the top 3 and how they play. Touchel probably likes the way we play and seems to like Ralf.
  5. ALI has talent but no guts. He does not do the hard work of closing down and pressing with conviction. He will not chase back to defend, he will not do the dirty work. For those reason I would not take him. Everyone has to pull their weight in Ralf pressing style and I have not seen Ali over his career do this. If he can convince Ralf he can do the work, then sure, let give him a trial. Here a shot in the dark, Ibrahima KonΓ©, Mali striker, 22, 6'3, score 3 goal in 3 game for πŸ‡²πŸ‡± Mali, I see our DJ got an assist. Would not cost us much.
  6. Assuming this is the influence of the new owners. To buy the best young talent to fill out the youth squads or B team, at ages of 16-19, and the undeniable talent already showing, will reduces alot of the risk. We are not in desperate need for the starters in the first team, so to use some of our transfer fees on the best up and coming youth is an excellent model. A few years learning the Ralf way and we have exciting youth coming into the first team. I wonder if the new owners had influenced the previous purchase of Small and Liv? If not then Semmens/Ralf already had us on the right track of youth players.
  7. VAR, AKA PL HQ, decides what is right or wrong for the PL. It should be for the integrity of the game....they wouldn't be trying to manufacture a more exciting title race would they....
  8. But if we listened to your lot we would not see the managerial improvement of the team in this fashion. We would not see our captain reach his potential. My support was not unconditional, he earned it. When he arrived he came with the ideas that I liked, I could see what he did at RBL and celebrated the days of boring football was over. Was it smooth sailing, nope, but he kept on trying and I could see his ideas paying off. We stayed in the PL and he has transformed this team with little resources to the good team we see now. I guess my main gripe with the "he is coming good now crowd" is the lack of vision early on. The lack of patience given to manager and players. I am happy we are all getting on the same page, support the mighty Saints!
  9. My MOTM was the refs! Did a great job keeping city in check. I mentioned before the game the ref could be our 12th man, and they were! Quite a few decisions that would normally punish us were not, some of the big team bias was not there. I laughed at the way the ref ended the game, he was protecting the score. But not for our sakes, it was for the PL product that they were protecting. Having a run away leader is not good for the brand, much better to have a tight race for the title. I think this is why PEP was angry, he could see the refs taking 2 point from a game they would normally be handed the win. The REFS with VAR made our day today, but I will remember it was not for us, It was for the PL. Their ability to change a game must not be underestimated, and today we benefited from their plan. We had to play well to receive the good fortune, and we did, so the refs obliged us by being on our side just enough to hamper city.
  10. I am hoping the 12th man is on our side! PL may think City running away with the league is bad for their brand.
  11. Love this scouting!! Please may it continue! Saints are looking around the world at break out, stand out, young stars. I think the young talent we can get for 10 mill or less, will be far more exciting and profit potential than a more established, older, out of favor, not in the first team regularly, type of player. They need the energy of youth and the willingness to press till pompey get back to PL.....with our new owner and our PL, stadium, training grounds and medical facilities, we could beat most competition for the best young stars. As we have seen from broga, Liv, small etc. They can have an impact on our team at a young age if they are standout talents. Like the Fabio from fulham link as well.
  12. But we would not have seen him if people were not as patient as the managers and board. We would not have the best free kick taker in the world, we would not have the energizer bunny JWP that keep on going and going.......all because so many of you are experts in players future abilities. Please give our players support, the manager will decide if they are worthy of our badge. Our job is to support the team, encourage them, keep their confidence up. We should not be there to tear down our own players. That is like sending boys to war and telling them they are shit, usless and will die out there. It does not help the troops, it will not help the players. We can discuss player abilities, everyone has their opinions, but to denigrate them on field is not on! To write off young players who we hope will become stars is fool hardy, we just got to back them until they are out the door. Then we can talk smack about them.....if you are so inclined. My hopes are dej, moi, gorilla, Adam A, tella and even the long suffering Reds and Beds can improve to be important players for us. All saints players need supporting......... until they are gone.
  13. Time to get new glasses, or a new TV, the ball was touched, the ball was deflected, Jim never had control of the ball, never had possession, he actually ran past the ball (because Beds changed the balls angle) into Beds. If the VAR took so long to find the best angle to support their weak case, how was it clear and obvious mistakes by the on field ref? That non pen changed the game!
  14. Who was on VAR? The on field ref had no prob with the tackles. Again we get screwed by the VAR ref, he showed those tackles over and over looking for a foul. I still do not see one! Beds got the ball, changed its direction, goes past Jim, and he continues into Beds? Where is the foul? Very frustrating to always get these shit calls going against us. This poor decision echanged the game. Also thought the ref let them kick and push us at will. Love that fair Salu shoulder tackle, but not the ref? These were two good teams, but we rarely have the chance to beat just the team, we are almost always hampered by the refs and them deciding how the game should go. Announcers never seem to like us, I can hear the excitement for the other teams, but rarely any love for the Saints. Oh well, at least the FA are consistent with us, they never seem to disappoint in rewarding the opposition and shafting us up the ...........
  15. Well it looks like it is in Broga hands to decide if he want to stay and request to be sold. Looks like Saints have made it clear we want to buy him. Chelsea look like they would sell him if the player wanted to leave, with a buy back clause. I wonder if he wants to stay and how much would be asked for his signature.
  16. You can watch it on fullmatchtv.com
  17. Mr Saint, will be a club legend! Always backed the player and now he is proving to all doubters how good he is. He will be a word record holder, best free kicker taker of all time! Mr Saint is the corner stone of our club, long may he prosper and thrive at our club!
  18. I thought he did it purposely when KWP did the diving header and needed treatment, he went off, we were down to 9 men, forster looked like he purposely booted out so KWP could be wave back on the field. I clapped too, as I thought that was smart. If he kicked in infield that cheating ref may not have wave him straight on, or an attack may have happened before he could get back to his defensive position, from the halfway line he had to return to the filed from. The rest looked like he tried to play to the wings but sliced them just out.
  19. F#ck you ref, well done Saints, great character to hold onto that draw!
  20. Cheating ref , 12th man for Spurs, I bet we get lots of extra time if we are still 1-1, and play over that time to give Spurs a chance.
  21. Well done Saints, great win! Well done Ralf!! Well done jWP, Moi and JB, all giving their all to the shirt. Keep the good times going!!
  22. I agree, he controlled the ball advantageously for himself with his elbow . Definition of hand ball to everyone but those clowns called refs
  23. You have no clue.....do you like the way Liverpool play, Chealsea, rb lip or even man city? They are all employing Radnick ideas, which is a version of leeds beliesa style. When Spain destroyed everyone with the tic tac style, with the 7 players from the dominant Barcelona team in 2010 ( Pep is a student of Beliesa), the Germans took notice. They revamped their entire football structure, out of this change came the gegenpressing, which means counter pressing. Klopp had introduced this style to pool, but we had seen it with Poch. So the press and everything else you need to do to make it work has become the weapon of choice for PROGRESSIVE coaches. It allowed rb lip to challenge the elite because the press style can disrupt other team as they are being closed down and option are dwindling. So the really big teams that employ this will also have the great players that will make them very hard to beat if they can execute this demanding style. I am so happy we have a progressive coach and we can be part of this exciting style of playing ball.
  24. Our defense is better because we have better defenders for Ralfs style, as mentioned the additions of Liv, Sal and Per have improved the speed and mobility of our back line. This is crucial for our pressing style, as we will have more one on one defending. Dudman, can you not see he has developed the team to his style, he did not let up on the press, it was drilled into them over this summer, and the whole time he has been here.....that how hard it is to get this pressing style right. It was shown in patches how good it can be, but injuries, lack of quality players etc. This year we executed Ralfs playbook much better because we have better understanding of what is required and better players to accomplish this. And with Ralfs PB we can punch above our weight as we have seen in patches and what he did with RB lip. Reading and learning ( not your strongest attribute) what Ralf press, automatism is all about , it is not a simple press, it has many moving parts, time to boot, where to boot, how to shift when pressing, then shift to defense when being attacked etc, there are quite a few good articles on what he is trying to accomplish and you will learn what he trying to accomplish. It's not Ralf listening to us forum floggers, it up to us to listen to him and what he is trying to implement! Dudman, you say jwp and diallo are too light weight last season, have they not improved? You can adjust your opinions over time? A young man like diallo won't get more muscle over a year? Have you not seen JWP getting stuck in, no longer the soft push over he was a few years ago. Saints go marching up!!
  25. A lot of negativity at first signing. After seeing him on the pitch for our own eyes, if he lives up to the glowing scouting report ( "no significant weakness", I hope it wasn't written by his mum) he will be a world beater !! Posted August 25 We have a Brazillian/Serbian! 6'2, hopefully with the skill worthy of the beautiful game and the grit and toughness of the Serbs. Played for the U23, U20 Brazilian national team, U18 Serbia NT so must have potential, might be great business if his talent lives up to pedigree. SAMBA SAINTS!
