  1. Alternatively you could argue that the rule only applies to regular league matches and not knockout matches. If it applies to both, then it will have to apply equally and not give higher weighting to one or the other.
  2. Why would we do that when we have our very own keynote speaker to give the presentation of their lives?
  3. Tonda murders puppies with his X-Ray vision eyes. Oh and Spores is really a lizard.
  4. Today's the day for protests in London - you can tell the weather is warming up, don't remember many of these in the winter!! One in support of Palestine, one anti Islam one. 4,000 police officers being deployed to keep them apart and over a £million being spent to do so. Let's hope they are largely peaceful - or they make enough arrests to cover the policing costs with fines
  5. A little bit obscured with this big tree in front of me.
  6. He'll still be spying for us. We'll just be consequence free.
  7. Which must mean @Turkish is going to be removed from the forum. Shame really, but you can see the inevitability of it.
  8. They brought in new rules, but 'forgot' to link any sort of punishment to them. Almost as if they knew everyone would break them anyway! Imagine them saying there would be a 3 point deduction for anyone breaking the rules. Games would be played, losing team would claim the opposition were spying and the independent tribunal would sit five times a week!
  9. Which is fair enough, but they aren't mutually exclusive. What a sorry state our politics is in!
  10. It's from 2024 or possibly 2025 apparenlty, so is out of date. Will will have moved on since then, not stuck in limbo.
  11. That's the thing with spygate, no one knows whose spies are watching their own spies. It's an intriguing web of lies and spies.
  12. Just so I've got the timeline straight... 2019, Leeds get caught spying. They admit they've done it for loads of games. They get fined £200k. The EFL then put rules in place to say you can spy, but not within 72 hours of a match! Having put the rules in place, they decide they don't need to add a punishment for breaking the rules (probably because they know everyone is at it and if they said you would be expelled from the league then they may have no one left at the end of the season!). On Friday last week, we were charged with breaking the rules by the EFL. We have 14 days to respond to said charge. During that 14 day period, despite the fact that THEY have charged us with breaking the rules, they are going to make us a 'without prejudice' offer to settle rule breaking AND include a term that is favourable to us! And I thought Boro had some weird fans! What will happen is : We will respond at the end of the 14 day period, which I believe will be 17:00 / 16:59 on Friday 22nd May. Not only is that the day before the Play off final, it's also the end of the working day before the bank holiday weekend. Is an independent panel going to be set up and hear our response, deliberate and deliver their verdict before kick off the next day? Not a fucking chance! The match will go ahead and the panel will review the evidence sometime in June - probably near the end of June given summer holidays etc. We will then get a slap on the wrists and a fine. Any fine bigger than £200k + inflation since 2019 is likely to see us lodge an appeal. That's it, that's the storm in the teacup. Boro will whinge and bitch about it for a couple of weeks and the world will move on.
  13. You seem to be suggesting the EFL will be dictating the outcomes to the independent panel. Surely that would throw the integrity of the investigation into doubt and we would win any appeal? Let's hope we have any such suggestion in writing - or used our high tech, super spy recording equipment (iphone 14) to record the conversation
  14. The rules state we have 14 days to respond. Whilst Boro wanted a 'quick hearing' we are entitled to follow the rules. The EFL would need to change the rules to get a 'quick hearing' which would take a lot longer than the 14 days we have to respond. There really is nothing to see regarding that point.
  15. That, and we may be in need of a new analyst by the end of the week....
  16. The chant from outside on Tuesday : "we spy where we want, we spy where we want...."
  17. Labour party - internal squabbling, new leader fight about to be triggered after only 2 years with a monster majority to get shit done. Greens - leader being investigated for unpaid tax. Reform - leader being investigated for £5m 'personal gift'. Members being kicked out for being racist. Lib Dems - leader is a complete loon. It beggars belief that from all the political parties, Badenoch is currently the most sensible of the lot.
  18. Although if we restore back to 1885, we don't win the FA cup for another 91 years! Did they build a flux capacitor for the party.
  19. A smarter man than me may put money on the result of our "internal investigation" producing a copy of his fixed term contract which expired at the end of the regular season meaning he wasn't employed during the playoffs. Who knows, stranger things have happened
  20. Think their manifesto has the Romans running 75% of the country. Still, should be able to get a decent tiramisu.
  21. Really? Wasn't he the most gifted orator ever to walk the planet when he was rinsing Boris during PM questions? What happened to the talented, confident, ex legal professional who could destroy the opposition with just his words?
  22. Wankers! They've been spying on my wardrobe. Is there no end to their shenanigans?
  23. Not sure anyone would be delighted if they opened the door and he was there mumbling and muttering in his monotone voice.
  24. Nobody voted for Liz Truss but we still had to put up with her.
