Absolutley, he was playing in a midfield where he was at times the most experienced player, when he should have had some experience in there to help him develop. shame we had to lose him, think he would have played well in our current set up.
-
He is also unknown to us at the moment, lets hope he is as good as we all want him to be, would make a nice change
-
Seems the best answer is for him to prove that he is much better than league 1 on the pitch playing for us, big clubs will then come calling for him if he wants off at that point. So do it on the pitch Morgan , and the rest will look after itself.
-
Best for all parties me thinks. We didnt treat him brilliantly ( the club - not the fans) ...Burley left him out for lengthy periods, Lowe wanted him off the wages bill, not sure after all that it would hav eever of worked.
-
yes, far from being immune to the problems, we were so very close to being the first victim. Of course the strategy may now work now we have no debt......
-
another odd signing on our part .....decsribed as world class and then let go....
-
If stern john goes - he goes, personally id rather keep Rasiak if at all possible, but regardless, we need to give the new regime time - at least to the end of the transfer window, before we can make any real judgements on how much they will invest.
-
Exactly, it wasnt even pretty football ...it was toothless , producing very few genuine goal scoring opportunities. Id take a more direct style of play where we actually score goals anytime.
-
44 players !! we had the same problem last time we got relegated, a bloated squad of journey men. Even if lots of them were paid little each , it still seems a very ,very poor way to run a football club which is cash strapped.
-
If true, and I have no reason not to believe you, then that is good news ( not quite as good as not taking the wages but still a significant help) I would have preferred them to go public on this - as I know a number of people who havent donated on the basis that their hard earned cash will go straight to the players to spunk the money away. Would also be good if BWP and wayne thomas were on the list, two players who we are lead to believe are on high wages, and havent delivered.

Are you ok? there seem to be a whole series of very negative posts from you regarding particular posters and all saints fans in general since lowe went - whats the story?

We HAVE to fill the ground for Burnley

I totally agree - has anyone actually spoken to any of the players about this - love to understand how they can defend not putting their hands in their pockets? -
League deduct 10 Points - Will apply in L1 Next Season

So lets be clear - in your view there is no risk , however small ,of the club going under before a deal is done ? we are simply wasting our money? -
but he is right ......shocking that with the clubs future under threat - we will only get 2/3rds of full capacity.
-
story states they are offering £200k, didnt we reject £500k earlier this season? Cant blame Swansea, but hopefully with new owners in soon, we can tell them where to go with their£200k
-
yes i agree this is the most important issue right now..........
-
he isnt ......he has periods of being brilliant - like when he first joined us and the first few games back this period ......and then he has periods of being poor.

We HAVE to fill the ground for Burnley
Harry Faz replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
It amazes me that we cant sell out when the clubs very survival is at stake. At the cup -final ( and many other occassions prior to that) I truly thought we had a fanbase that were passionate about this club ( regardless of who was in charge ) and I felt proud to be a saints fan, especially compared to the Arsenal fans who didnt seem to have any of the passion which we showed on the day. Did I misunderstand ? Were many of my fellow die-hard saints fans just there for the good times? Have so many lost their passion for the club that they dont feel the need to show up now in our greatest hour of need? -
So, does that mean that the club had reduced the overdraft from £6m , to nearly £4m. So why did Barclays pull the plug now ? From those bear 'facts' it looks like we were managing the debt down. If so, I do think Barclays have some questions to answer here, as Wilde and Lowe appear to have some justification for their view that Barclays leant to much money to saints in prior periods - and havent given us enough time to bring things back to an even keel .
-
Should be a very emotional atmosphere - Lowe is gone, we need to win, and it is a possibility that there could be only 2 more saints home games ever .....
-
I have no problems with what they say - not sure we will ever see a true legend like matty again at a club like saints - look at Theo for an example of what happens now, he was gone before he really got started.

Agree - that move invited them to come at us as we sat back, and when we got the ball there was no outlet. poor substitution in my opinion.

Rudi: Too many youngsters playing and I want away
Harry Faz replied to Big Ron fan's topic in The Saints
This is what i dont get. Yes we have to rely on a number of youngsters - as financially we have no option, but why arent we bringing in /utilising properley the experience that weve already got and we need to give us a chance. Kids on their own just arent going to do it, they need some experience with them. So by paying Rudi ,and at the same time treating him as an unwanted goods, we are just shooting ourselves in the foot. Why isnt Jan looking to Rudi as an experienced pro , to help bring on the youngsters - thus getting more value out of him? -
Rudi: Too many youngsters playing and I want away
Harry Faz replied to Big Ron fan's topic in The Saints
Last summer they told me that if I didn't leave I wouldn't be playing. And then at one point they moved me from the reserves to the first team. "I have played in 17 games in a row. I don't know what kind of role is that. "Suddenly they wanted me to play, so I have been playing. Its no real suprise is it, doesnt seem that we have done much to get Rudi to buy into our 'experiment'. poor management again !
