Francis, with his NASL tan, record transfer fee and European success with such a talented Forest team struck me as someone who really had the world at his feet. It's so sad to hear the news and our thoughts are with his family and friends.

I didn't spot it initially. But the replay shows the arms going up to the ball. A closer look shows part of the hand bend back, at the moment the ball goes past it. It didn't look like a natural movent, needing some impact to have happened. I get the point on the trajectory. It seemed to slow the ball fractionally, rather than divert it. VAR working well. The same for the goalkeeper encroachment for the initial save. Very clear on the replay.

The first squad large enough to need exponents. Mind you, there was that Redknapp season where rothmans struggled to fit everyone on the page.

They think it's all over... Good to see the subs make a difference. England did have a lot more dominance that half. But it was Earps that kept their lead. Some issues about being susceptible to covering through balls. Some issues about when to make those key passes. A little too keen sometimes, a little too wary at others. They will look to improve on this, and it will help keep everything focused. I wasn't expecting Haiti to be so decent, with a number doing well in French football. Good to see strength and depth across the competition. 3 points, and bring on the next game.

Yeah, Haiti have looked decent. Looking to catch England up the park, and exploit the space. England are without some key players, through retirement and injury. Still plenty of talent in there, but some of the former subs now have to step up to starters. England struggling recently for goals. Had it not been for the handball, they would have gone in level. Hemp looks to be the one to unlock their defence, offering that bit of creativity. Sorry to see the Haitian injury. She looked in a lot of pain, so hope for a quick recovery. Good game.
