I wonder if the sports science was saying that Stewart was fit enough to play 3 games in short order. That it didn't take into account wider issues, such as his injury record. Maybe Still just looked at Downs, and just did it anyway.

Obviously disappointing to not see Leo start. He's our game changer. Robinson knows the expectations on him to step up in a settled system. However, in Leo's absence the others (looking at Azaz) have to also step up to give Robinson as much of a chance/ space to do well as they can. Hopefully Birmingham will be confident enough in their own attack, that they give us the space to get the ball through our midfield. Failing that, Fellows and Manning can pin them back and get it across. Hoping for a win to get us back on track.

At least the political spectrum means less to SOG in some circumstances. It wasn't long ago he was using up his tissues over confirmed racist and far left supporter Diane Abbott.

Even Marsch didn't want to join us, questioning the lack of agreement at other levels in the club, and their preferred approach.

To think it was only 19/20 when Villa stayed up on the last day, having been promoted the season before.

Off the top, A combination of:- Our set up being very reliant on a single tactic: Ralph all, Poch, RussBall etc. Players having to play to that, rather than their strengths: Everyone under Still. Our SR recruitment merry go round has left us forever short of options, not to mention first team roles DM and CF for a start The same recruitment has left us with little physical power or height. Manager-go-round has us constantly instilling things that more settled sides have got (although tenures elsewhere aren't great). Foetus managers learning on the job, lacking the nous of others.

Mine

We've set up exactly the same way, but now against sides that are a little wiser to us. We've had less room through Downes and Jander. Fellows and Manning have pushed up. That cut off midfield has made it harder to create in the middle, and more tellingly, our lack of a centre forward has meant there's not many faces to get on the end of wide deliveries. At the same time as our wing backs have pushed up, we're vulnerable to breaks down the flanks. We need a second half where we can keep the tempo up. Also one, where a Robinson or Archer can contribute to keeping the energy and chances going. Hoping to see more of Azaz providing an outlet and support in the middle.

I like to take some time opening gifts, and seeing other people open their presents. Some time to enjoy the thought that goes into it. But every year is a feeding frenzy of wrapping paper. 🙂

There would have been a thought of maybe keeping bus stops vol 2 for your birthday. But sometimes 1 volume of bus stops just isn't enough, so a good call. (I got the Taschen wood buildings last year) FC New Amsterdam's 2021 fourth shirt...

Not at all. Hoovers can be expensive. If anything, a toaster as well is spoiling someone.
