McGoldrick will never be a better than CCC forward unless he improves his attitude. Same as Leon Best and countless others who pretend to aspire and ultimately deceive and rob themselves of better opportunities. Nathan Dyer is probably in the same camp also. BWP was never there but had his dad's name to fall back on for a while.
I don't think Rickie Lambert is the best player Saints have had up front of course, but his career shows mental determination that has paid off whilst others of his age have fallen away. Maybe before your time Bizzle, but Lambert reminds me of Micky Evans a lot.
