I don't think there is a sell-on clause. The are a few articles on the OS from 21 July 2003, this is the one that goes into the most details. IMO if there had been one I think it would have been mentioned, i.e. it trys to "spin" the deal up to £10M as if we would have paid GS wages in full and all the Agent fees etc. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=1263 Also RL thought it was a "depressed market" when Roman arrived at Chelsea - just shows what he knows about Football.
-
If you read ITN pages 230 -231, IMO the protests inside and outside the ground got nowhere:- 31 August - "unrest on the terraces...." 4 Oct - Redstripe - "three more years of B*******...." 24 Oct - banner at Sky game "Askham and B******* must go..." (After the game Askham still pledges support to B). The turning point was the Ipswich game on the 8th Dec when only 9028 turned up followed by another low gate a few days later against qpr. The result was that Lawrie was back within days and B was soon history.

I think you will be waiting a long time, IMO he has NO intention of going. Remember he once said that if we got relegated from the PL he would leave and when we did he tries to blame everyone else for it and then says he is the best person to be in charge. I don't think anybody has commented on these 2 lines from the meeting :- Crouch: "Put some money in the club." Lowe: "You’re making a fool of yourself." I think we all know money only goes one way with lowe - since we moved to the new ground £3M has been paid in dividends and another £1.5M in Share Buybacks, NOTHING into the club. So lowe thinks "putting money into the club is FOOLISH", he is stuck in 2004/5 management style - sell players pay a dividend, sell players pay a dividend ....-> relegation

The Echo says DJ said :- "We do forward forecast and the player wage bill was 81 per cent in June 08 but, with Claus, Makin, Jesus, Idiakez, Licka and Jermaine out of contract, the player wage bill was an artificial blip ......" In other words that 81% assumes we would have renewed all those players contracts at the end of June 08. I was at the meeting yesterday and I would just like to say I cannot believe anybody can support a man who is so OUT OF TOUCH with the real world. Waving a piece of paper and some of the other totally mental ramblings that lowe came out with should show everyone that he is in no fit state to run our club. Rupert is so far up his own ego it is unbelievable, he make a complete fool of himself yesterday IMO.

Here is an Echo article from 2002 when the Management buyout took place - Note the words "highly successful" and "£15M and more than 150 employees. I think it was sold in 2005 to Lowe Holdings. I wonder who will get the blame the "customers" or the "previous board". http://archive.thisishampshire.net/2002/7/16/62978.html

I think these resolutions have been used in the past. If you look back to the 2001 accounts you will see that the Dividend payments changed from £324,123 (2000) to £328,070 (2001). This was because of 394,737 new shares being allocated on the 29 Jan 2001. The SE announcement is here :- http://www2.hemscott.com/scripts/AFXnewstory.dll/text?EPIC=SOO&SerialNumber=2245&NewsType=AFR&Indate=29/01/2001 I believe what this is saying is that one of the Directors exercised a Share Option and rather than purchase the shares from the market they decided to "print some more". I know that RL,AC and DJ gave themselves more Share Options in May/June 2004 at 44p to be exercised between 6 May 2007 to 5 May 2011 which IMO caused the "focus" of the Club to be on the Share Price in 2004 which IMO led to relegation in May 2005. Because of what happened in 2004 I will be voting AGAINST the 2 resolutions. Hasn't the Dark Lord learned from his mistakes the first time, this is a Football Club first ? p.s. This is probably just Pub talk but has anybody heard a rumour about one of Lowe other companies ?

A couple of things in the accounts that nobody has mentioned (both on the bottom of page 34) 25 Post Balance Sheet Events One was Davies for £1.5M to Stoke, where is the other £0.6M coming from? (or is this something already agreed for January). I spoke to Andy O after the Radio Solent event in August 2007 and he said they had appealed against the rates of £1.6M a year, and I think everyone knows these things take time, so this has probably been going on for some time. However this seems a strange statement in the accounts. ? Did Lowe FC Ltd know they were getting this £0.5M rebate as of June 2008 but waited until the cheque arrived in the post so that it could be held over until next year accounts ?

I suggest you read pages 230 to 232 of ITN, the chanting and banners did NOTHING to bring about change in 1993. The board took no notice of the "customers" then with all the chanting/fanzines/demos outside the ground/Sky protests etc. The directors only changed their minds on the 8th Dec when only 9028 turned up. Remind me again, how many are staying away at the moment (ave 22k last year- 32k for last game) and equally how many ST holders have told me they will NOT renew next year.

Should make the AGM very interesting. Both the Dark Lord and Judas must be voted for at this years AGM (because they were both appointed to the board since the last AGM) I have visions of Jasper Carrott’s Golden Balls show where the 2 finalists have a choice to SPLIT or STEAL, with both the Dark Lord and Judas saying to each other “don’t worry xyz I will split with you”, but at the back of minds they will be thinking “can I trust him, if he decides to Steal, then it is almost certain the rest of the Fans/Shareholders will vote against me and I will be out” It has been rumoured to me that the Dark Lord (and his cohorts) will attempt to get rid of Judas by changing their votes to “Steal“ at the very very very last moment knowing that MW would need Leon support to get back (which is unlikely), and calling an EGM would almost certainly sent the Club into Admin, which Judas cannot afford to do either. The Dark Lord will then appoint his old cohorts back onto the board, knowing that Judas will not have the stamina to stay around for another 12 months.
-
Let me guess the AGM will be on the Friday before the Forest game. Shareholder to board "What steps are being taken to increase attendances .....". Dark Lord to customer/mug/fool (insert your own word) "Tomorrow we have a trial ....." Monday morning when they revert to Full Price, the Dark Lord will say to his inner circle, "well that sidestepped that problem for another 12 months"

Total Dividends to all shareholders taken from EOY accounts Share Buybacks taken from announcements to the Stock Exchange = £4.5M since we moved to St Marys (2000).

In the summer of 2006 when Wilde's men were installed, the next AGM in November still had to vote for or against them because they were installed since the previous AGM and the EGM was cancelled at the last moment. I therefore believe as the EGM was cancelled this year there still has to be a vote on all the new Directors, so there should be a vote on Lowe/Wilde/Cowan at this years AGM. LOWE OUT !!!!

Are we better off than when Crouch was here?

Why does everyone assume it is Takeover or Nothing. Remember in July 2006 we were told there were 10 Investors (note it says Investors NOT people to take us over) if "the conditions are right" http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/search/824722.Ten_out_of_ten_for_Saints_investors/ And then when the SISU offer was rejected by the Open Letter - point (d) said "The securitisation arranagements are subject of a change of control clause that was subject to much debate during the EGM campaign of 2006. Has ....." The important words there are MUCH DEBATE which I have been told is the DoF refusing to sign over the "change of control clause" in 2006. Hence I believe the 10 investors walked away. What is needed now is "investment" and like you don't see a Takeover as likely therefore I can only see the investment coming from Loans (i.e. what Long Shot has hinted at from Crouch) or a Rights Issue. However, BOTH would mean the DoF leaving and his blocking 25.1% of the shares being removed, which he is not going to agree to. LOWE OUT !

As people have stated above moaning on here is will get you nowhere. The 2 things that might make a difference are :- (1) If you read ITN page 230-231 it shows that in 1993 that the moaning and demos at the Dell not no effect. The board issued a statement in August; there was a big demo for Sky TV in Oct etc. but it GOT NOWHERE. Come the 8th Dec and only 9028 turned up for the Ipswich game followed by a 11k (2k away fans) for the QPR game 3 days later and Lawrie was back in within a couple of days. There was a change of manager soon afterwards. The only thing they are interested in is money, if you “turn off the tap” they will start to listen to the fans (the TRUE owners of Saints not the Shareholders). (2) A second thing to do is to write to Barclays Bank at Reading (address in the accounts) telling them that attendance figures are down by 26% because of Lowe, and if they want to see any return on the overdraft then THEY NEED TO TELL LOWE TO GO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Remember most clubs are put into Admin by the Tax Office, the Bank will be like everyone else in that an overdraft is not secured. They will try anything rather than put us into Admin. It is only having Football people at board level that will see the return of the FOOTBALL FANS and that will NOT happen until the DoF is gone. LOWE OUT

You reckon correctly - http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/Disciplinary/SuspensionLists/SuspendedPlayers.htm Southampton FC Oliver Lancashire 21/10/2008 Suspended from all football until the Club have completed 2 first team matches for a Sending Off in a match played on 21/10/2008.

Excellent post John. The sentence "Lowe ruined this club and I will NEVER give him my mandate to rule through my money. Passive acceptance or positive reinforcement of that mandate is the only thing that keeps Lowe in charge." sums up my feelings as well.

I few week ago (late August) on this thread I posted the following re the Old TV Studios :- It looks as Meridian may be may be going to sue Oakdene over the lack of a Planning Application. http://www.propertyweek.com/story.asp?sectioncode=274&storycode=3123962&c=3 It says there should be a planning application in November. IMO this MAY tell us whether there is any "waterfront development" in the future. John The DoF OUT !!! (i.e. LOWE OUT !)

Exactly, some of the supporters go completely over the top as soon as we win a game. The facts are we are currently 16th in the league. Our record against the 15 sides above us is W=0,D=1,L=4. Our record against the 8 sides below us is W=3,D=1,L=0. Basically we are only winning the "6-pointer" games against sides below us at the moment. In the next 2 months (11 games) we only play 2 sides below us, and November looks like being a very big test for the young kids.
-
Of course there might not be any planning application yet, for example this appeared in the Echo (27 August) while you were on holiday re the Old TV Studio. http://www.thisishampshire.net/mostpopular.var.2433837.mostviewed.citys_tallest_building_to_be_built_on_former_tv_studios.php And that is "months away from a planning application" John LOWE OUT !!!

Lowe - he totally mismanaged the Football Club in 2004 (....Steve "out of his depth" Wigley then the money from 450 ST used on a Share Buyback FOUR WEEKS later just to hike the share price etc, etc. - he will do the SAME AGAIN if given a chance). John LOWE OUT !

I am not ITK and have not received any text, so I do not know where this name has come from but there is a business link from him to a well known Saints fan. There are a number of Directors (approx 100) for the educational institution called - Indian School of Business. http://investing.businessweek.com/businessweek/research/stocks/private/board.asp?privcapId=11482545 Anil is one of them (in fact there are a number of very rich people on that list including the qpr owner etc). Another on the list is Girish Venkat Reddy who is CEO and CO-FOUNDER of a american Hedge Fund called Prisma Capital Partners. One of the other 2 co-founders is a well known Saints fan. http://investing.businessweek.com/businessweek/research/stocks/private/people.asp?privcapId=9518498 However, I have noticed over the last 18 months that whenever the dark lord has problems suddenly a Takeover rumour appears to distract attention. Just a feeling I have. John LOWE OUT !!!!!

I was going to attend and ask 3 questions :- 1/ Has AC any comments on the Share Buyback in Oct 2004, where the money from 450 season ticket holders was used by the club the buy it own shares. This took place one month after the appointment of Steve “out of his depth” Wigley. Does AC feel this demonstrates the SHOCKING MANAGEMENT of the FOOTBALL CLUB that took place in late 2004 that led to our relegation that season ? 2/ AC made comments to the Echo on 27 May 2006 when he and Lowe were trying to deceive the fans by getting a PR company to post on Fans web sites. His comments were “This is a perfectly legitimate business tool today and we have used the PR Office for a number of years” Ask AC how much the club has wasted on the PR company trying to get the fans to like a certain person ?, Are they still using a PR company ? And does he regret those comments in 2006, because IMO he is treating the FOOTBALL fans like dirt by making them ? 3/ The Open Letter re the SISU offer point (d) made reference to “change of owner clauses” on the stadium loan and “much debate about them in 2006”. Ask AC whether these clauses were “signed over” to Wilde’s mob in 2006. If they were withheld (which I think happened), did AC know the Echo was running a story in July 2006 saying that “10 Investors were ready to put money in ……IF THE CONDITIONS were right” (NOTE : there is a difference between a Takeover and people putting Investment into the CLUB, they are 2 different things, do NOT let the LLs merge the two). Ask AC what comes first for Rupert and himself, (a) the FOOTBALL Club or (b) his own personal interests ? As I said at the beginning I was going to attend tonight but I fell off a ladder on Monday and have fractured a bone in my back and cannot come now. LOWE OUT !!!!
