If Adams converted a quarter of rhe chances he's fucked up this season, we'd comfortably be around 10th by now
-
It makes complete sense and ensures neither party are stuck in a situation they don't want to be in.
-
Do remember him ending up at Bournemouth, was it on loan? Didn't know about the tweets though, thanks for clarifying 👍🏽
-
Why not? If we go down, they'll hardly have proved themselves as Premier league quality, and two in particular are only one season into their contracts.

Caleta-Car is the obvious candidate, surely?? World Cup runner up, 26 and over 250 senior appearances, and seems to have plenty about him
-
Agree. He was a borderline headcase but did a very good job for us and was sorry to see him go. A real character who was also good at his job. Don't recall him having a fall out with Koeman though??

I'm clinging to the hope that it's not a done deal (yet) and it's all an elaborate smokescreen for a vaguely successful replacement to be announced.....
-
Like this though somewhat inexperienced in the front 3. Agree its a free hit but don't want the new players confidence to get destroyed this early, plenty of time for that later! I'd keep Lyanco (for when we need someone to do some kicking and winding up of opponents), Diallo (to replace a tiring CM with 10 to go) and Aribo (there is something in there, hoping the new manager can find it) but the rest can disappear on a free transfer somewhere, anywhere in fact.

Peter Bosz. The job is essentially a free hit. Short term deal, keep us up, job done and both parties can re-evaluate in the summer. Go down and it was too little too late etc. We're still in the top flight in the highest profile league in world football. That in itself is a pull and a sizeable salary for what could be 4 months work isn't going to be sniffed at either.

I'm not against Marsch being appointed because he's been sacked. I'm against it as it highlights a staggering lack of ambition other than trying to stay up. Maybe we've just been spoilt with the likes of Koeman and Pochettino, but our current club leadership is an absolute shambles.

Good summary on SSN https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12780074/nathan-jones-southampton-sack-manager-after-just-14-games-and-three-months-in-charge

'In terms of stuff' - what the fuck does that mean?!?
-
Bloke on FB reporting he's been sacked, announcement by 11am. No idea if true.
-
If SR bite the bullet, who's available out there right now who you think could/would be prepared to step in....?
-
I'd go with this. He'd unite the fan base without question and if we're going down at least let's do it with some fight and organisation
-
If we grant new signings time to bed in, how come Bree walks into the starting line-up against Newcastle in a cup semi-final?

Would keep Willy in goal tbh, you can see how much better his control and command of his area is than Bazunu's, even if he is pushing 60. Would start ABK over Salisu and Stuart A ahead of his namesake. That said, I'm expecting 5 at the back and Ely and Walcott to start
