  1. I'm playing on Sunday 20th, 12pm kick off, come and support some worthy causes - check out the Wave 105 website for details
  2. 12 o'clock KO in fact, being advertised on Wave 105 )
  3. I've played at the 'Dripping Pan' ground at Lewes. A fine pitch it is not!
  4. Cracking story. Get well soon Ben.
  5. In fact, come down on Sunday 20th and have a laugh at our expense!!!
  6. Why don't you just hire the pitch? Me and a group of mates have done it for the last couple of years, it's only £4,500 and you get a signed shirt.
  7. Well worth a bump. SISU out - although fwiw Coventry is a concrete jungle and they need more than just new owners to make their life bright and cheery!!
  8. Nessun Dorma - Pavarotti. It's all about Italia 90 for me
  9. What a cracking thread and a nice change from the 'Promotion Panic' that has set in the asylum... 31, West End, but grew up in the Polygon and used to sit on the concrete wall at the end of the Milton Stand, opposite the St Johns Ambulance room on my own from a young age. I've got no idea what my first game was but I remember practicing Matty's autograph every day and the one time, after what seemed like 'hundreds' of requests, that Tim Flowers actually signed my autograph book. The smell of ciggies and Bovril wafting through the stands and the anticipation of half-time when I could buy a packet of Fish'n'Chips crisps and a packet of Clix (sp?) chewing gum from the hawkers walking around the edge of the pitch. First away game was against Man U on the bingo bus with my mate Phil. I'd queued through the night to get the tickets and laughed when we got to the coach park when we counted about ten coaches with the 'Surrey Reds' signs inside. Now a STH in The Northam, Block 42, Row HH and love our little 'family' me and my mate have around us. Bring back Blocks 1&2 next season though! Good times supporting the Red & Whites.
  10. Give the guy his due, if you read his tweets and re-tweets, he really doesn't seem to have an attitude, nor does he seem to 'have it in" for SFC either......seems like he's ready to let bygones be bygones etc. He even re-tweeted someone who said " If you want saints fc to be in the prem, RT". Fair play to the lad.
  11. "Discussed 'elsewhere' "......notice the 'elsewhere' part of that comment? In another UNRELATED thread in other words. Daren has ever right to bring it up. Not necessarily on the main board mind..... The guy clearly has talent. £5m cash and I'd be a very happy bunny indeed.
  12. We wont get any pens as we'll be camped in our own box for the next three games.......................according to some on here ;o)
  13. However they played, they still gained three points :o/
  14. We're talking about young men here. Young men drink. I was in a nightclub and a strip club in Bournemouth a couple of weeks ago with my group of friends and also in the VIP area were Sheff Utd and a few weeks before that was Coventry City. Our table, like theirs, had numerous bottles of alcohol. They, like me, were just letting off steam. Seeing 'some' of the players as battered as they were did make me wonder why they needed to get so inebriated. But then if you were playing for those teams then you'd probably be hitting the bottle too. All in all, nothing to worry about....because we can't do anything about it. Just like your boss can't stop you drinking 'responsibly' outside of working hours. When they notice that the player has an issue, it's dealt with. You don't really think players are always injured do you???? lol
  15. I actually forgot how good Kenna was
  16. The perfect summary. However the BBC realise that because they put all the highlights on their website that they don't need too spend a vast and substantial amount of money of a TV programme which most people record and watch back the next day anyway.....may as well look at the website. From a commercial point of view, I'm sure that ALL clubs would like to see MOTD and FLS disbanded to allow for them to charge for 'extended highlights' via their own media player. This won't happen whilst SKY pay so much for their coverage. I've often wondered how long it will take before clubs/SKY show all games live on a PPV or subscription. For ex-pats or fans that don't live a commutable distance it would be perfect. But then so would wi-fi in the ground.......
  17. A friend of mine who works in promotions was recently Sammy Saint at West Quay. The costume therefore still lives!
  18. SOD, is this the close ball control that looks like he never has it under control? The guy is too funny on Twitter mind.
  19. Superbly summed up. I do however think he is more than capable in the Prem too. Even world class players like Robinho or Kaka can be poor in certain teams
  20. Simply unplayable today. I've never seen him run so much. At one stage in the second half, he chased down SIX Brighton passes to the extent we won the ball back on the half way line. All this from a player in the striker position. His touch and vision along with his decision making were outstanding today. The rumour is that he can score goals too.
  21. This is quality. Admittedly stolen from Citeh but if we can change the Poyet bit and make it into an allrounder then it will catch on for sure.
  22. Sarah Draper no longer works there. She'll help you with alarm systems now though
  23. My apologies for not reading his tweet thoroughly. Apparently 2+2 doesn't equal 5!
  24. According to his twitter, he's instructed solicitors to send a legal letter to whoever reported that story
  25. Hi ladysaint, do you still have a space and if so how much? Ta muchly
