  1. I will be interested to see what he does with his hair for this ( full blow dried lego ?) and wouldn't rule out a black polo neck.
  2. Have been invited to predict the score tomorrow by the club's website. Feel like they are taking the piss at this point.
  3. I'd take 3-0 and two shots on target with one requiring a decent save from their keeper. it really is that bad ...
  4. They clearly didn't run the simulation where we win our next 11 games
  5. Going to go with 4-0 again. We seem comfortable holding teams at that score and most teams seem apathetic after scoring 4 when playing us as they know where are shit and so what's the point in wasting energy not much of a spectacle for either set of fans really when you play saints
  6. When you compare our squad to the likes of Everton, Palace, WHU, Fulham you realise how far off we are from being competitive in this league and I don't know how we address that with FFP. The discussions around who the manger is are fucking pointless whilst the squad is so weak. You would need to have two perfect windows to even compete and without spending a fortune and that just isn't going to happen at the moment with our set up. Why do we bother signing players like the Danish lad to then leave them on the bench ? We haven't got a clue how to pick a player who can come in and make us better, save occasionally and by luck we get it right - fernandes. Apart from him and Ramsdale who was the last signing who made us a better PL side ? Lavia ?
  7. I think we will come up short on this one Even at 3 goals a game we would be at 98
  8. What has also made it such a shit season is that the writing was on the wall as early as the forest game so at no point ( save for Newcastle) did it ever feel realistic to think we would stay up. We just carried on where we left off in the PL. When you look at the likes of the also rans in the PL like Palace and West Ham their squads are light years above ours you can see it's a long way back to being competitive in this league. It's a bigger problem than Saints though given Leicester and Ipswich will also head straight back down following on from last year when Luton, Sheffield United and Burnley went down. I still keep coming back to the point that what the fuck did the owners expect when they bought BBD and Archer to spearhead our attack. If ever there was a signal to run up the white flag what was it.
  9. Been supporting Saints since 1982 and this is the worst it's been for me. I don't feel anything when we concede or lose. I don't expect to win. What's it now 9 wins in 80 games, two wins in 38 odd. They are an average bunch of players who have in the main given up and therefore we are looking at 4-0 defeats as par for the course. Blaming the manager seems pointless. I don't think any manager could make a real difference now and this stretches back over 80 games and two seasons so it's far more fundamental than that. You can trace it back to not replacing Romeu or Ings.. I feel sorry for Juric. He took a gamble and it's backfired for him and he's unlikely to ever get another decent job after this and Roma. The fucking worst thing is there are still eleven games left to play.
  10. Seems weird we have gone from the old trafford game to this
  11. Looks like we will lose 4-0 again
  12. These discussions seem pretty futile at the moment Whatever combination we got for it's not going to make any difference really
  13. 'He was initially a winger back in his Shamrock youth days, transitioning into a keeper later into his development'. Quite from breaking the lines article in 2022. Can't copy the link for some reason The transition is proving glacial...
  14. It's all opinions but the first goal was poor ( albeit typical) and the second would have been taken by a dominant keeper, which he isn't. He's played two games for Liege and you wonder how many more will there be. If the club is serious about turning the club then there's a lot of work to be done across the squad but we can't have another season with this guy as number 1.
  15. Another masterclass in the art of goalkeeping
  16. 8-7 to saints with three goals from ryan fraser in injury time to win it
  17. I don't see the return of Edozie or Bazanu as positives. How much did they cost £22million combined ? Laughable really that we got it so wrong. We would be lucky to get half of that back.
  18. 7 wins in 77 PL games since they took over
  19. Can anyone think of a worse starting midfield put out by saints in the PL ?
  20. Didn't Juric say that Bednarek turned down a large offer during January, so someone must rate him ( assuming it's true) ? THB has been a disappointment and appears a bit overweight to me and at times it looks like hes running through treacle. Like a lot of the squad he's struggled with the pace and power in the PL
  21. He's obviously a poor keeper at this level, but he did make a decent save against WBA away last season that was important at the time. Apart from the Preston game that's has already been referenced, I can't recall another. As someone said the best chance of getting rid is for RM to get a championship club and you'd think he'd be keen to take Bazanu and hopefully some of the other crap we have accumulated.
  22. You could only really blame him for the second goal, but from the highlights looked like his typical saints performance where he makes a cock up, is bulled when coming off his line ( which is rare) and he doesn't make a notable save. After the season we have had then it doesn't seem fair on any of us to have to put him with him again next season.

    Ivan Juric

We have never properly replaced Romeu or Ings for that matter and they left several years ago. Its a toss up between what is the most dysfunctional; our midfield or attack. We just haven't matched up with the pace and power in the PL

McCarthy had a good set of games in the Play-offs in what were tight matches. Baz has always struggled so it doesn't seem unreasonable to conclude that if Baz had been playing we would likely not have been promoted. We will never know. No doubt it will be mandated by the clowns running the club that he will be No 1 again next year so we can look forward to more of the Baz debate and questions such as is he totally shit or with a better defence would he make more saves low down to his left ? Can't wait.
