Maidstone are only three divisions behind you now! I don't want that gap increasing by any more thank you very much Yeah, it was a long time ago when I last went but I remember the tunnels were pretty sweet (loads of inscriptions made by French PoWs there right? Or I might be mixing it up with Dover Castle). Also recall a retired RN submarine that you could go on, don't know if it's still there.

It's all true, folks. Damn Chatham pikey kids always used to start on me when I was 16-17 and waiting to get picked up from my McDonald's job, after completing their day out shoplifting in Maidstone and waiting for the 101 bus back home. Got put on my arse a couple of times for refusing to give them "quid for the bus bo'" The Historic Dockyard is always worth a visit though, if it's still around. PS: C'mon rochdale

On the pitch, on the pitch, on the pitch.

The Saints are going down with a f*cking overdraft A f*cking overdraft A f*cking overdraft... Some really good ones on here

Did mine on "Betrayal in Hemingway's For Whom the bell tolls" and Orwell's Homage to Catalonia". I thought it was a work of genius, but it only got a 62 - markers said that it was too much History and not enough English (I did a combined degree). Not my fault, I just roll like that But I actually found doing it fairly easy once I got into it; forget that it's work and it's a lot of fun, due to the fact you're interested in whatever the subject is.

I've been posting my faggy lefty liberal views on here for about five years, and no-one realised I was taking the ****? That's quite depressing.

Not allowed, the liberal thought police (including the dreaded PC Brigade) have banned me from hanging my tatty George's cross out of the window of my flat

How is Egypt? Because you are living in denial! I admire your optimism mate, and I'll be giving it my all at the Burnley and Forest games, but it's just not going to happen. I trust the other teams to be sh*te, but I just don't trust us to be any better. The team will somehow get a win against an unexpectedly poor Burnley and then wilt like the useless pansies they are in the pressure of the Forest game. I'd bet any money on it.
-
To encourage anyone, it would be best to point out that Saints are guaranteed a win on Saturday. Then, instead of a nice chilled-out meaningless affair at Forest on the last day which we can all just enjoy for the day out, we can get all het up about "great escapes" and so forth, and proceed to watch those gutless bastards sh*t themselves and go down with a whimper. '05 all over again, I tells ya.

The trouble with internet forums is that there's so many more useful and productive things you could (indeed should) be doing. I've been trying to stop using them altogether for some time now, obviously I haven't 100% succeeded yet lol. Nevertheless, the £5 thing was actually a step in the right direction for me.

You roll up a newspaper and then fold the resulting tube in two, so it makes a surprisingly sturdy kind of cudgel.

In order of preference: Brentford - Great ground with a proper away terrace and a pub on each corner, day out in west London, should be sweet. Carlisle - Trip I've always wanted to make, so I can officially be the bestest fan EVAR Yeovil - Away terrace, should take a fair few there. Swindon - Again should take a lot. Crewe - Nice club and town. Hope Gradi's ethos of playing decent football is still going strong. Oldham, Stockport, Tranmere (if they're in the same division) - deprived North-West towns ftw. Orient, Walsall, Scunny - Have never been. May go to tick them off the list. Already been to Northampton, Southend and the Gas, and don't think I could stick going to the Withdean again, it's just not a football ground. Don't think I could be arsed with Colchester's new ground either, bland identikit ground and with dreadful transport links by all accounts. Won't bother with Leeds or Franchise if they stay down, 'wall doing so means a day out in Bermondsey with my uncle though

Also I apologise for my clumsy over-use of the word "incident". I hate people who are too lazy to think of more than one synonym.
-
I was surprised (and rather heartened tbh) that conservative newspapers are unanimously strongly criticising the actions of the officers in question and questioning the methods of the police. Martin Samuel (fat f*ck though he generally is) wrote an excellent column on the matter in today's Mail, of all papers. Sad though this incident is, I am quite proud to live in a country where this sort of sh*t causes an outcry. There's many places where no-one would bat an eyelid at this incident, including rich developed nations.
-
Bit daft of whoever the Saints fan was to go on there playing keyboard jockey, though. I mean it's Watford, who gives a f*ck? Mighty annoyed I wasn't there, stupid night work. Fair play to all who went.

There's nothing to "make out". If he'd done anything wrong, why wasn't he making for the other demonstrators quicker, instead of dawdling along with his hands in his pockets? Why didn't he fight back, if he was up for trouble? Why was he not arrested, if he was guilty of anything? Why do the police not appear to be after him in particular in the video, and only appear to belt him in the leg and knock him over because he's in their way? The Met thought they could get away with being c*nts and then say that everything was the fault of the nasty hippies, in the sure knowledge that most of the general public thinks the same, and basically they've come unstuck.

Our brave constables protect the public from newspaper sellers wandering away from them with hands in pockets - http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/apr/07/ian-tomlinson-g20-death-video Good thing they had your ID badges covered like they always do at the football, eh...still, I'm sure they had their reasons
-
Yep. Brothels too, while they're at it.
-
Well that was a big jip. A few smashed bank windows and 24 arrests? Sheeeeeeeeet, that's a Friday night in Maidstone...
-
I f*cking love how they've got the pic of the girls in underwear snogging above all the sanctimonious guff. Classic Mail...in the words of Mr. Littlejohn, you couldn't make it up
-
I well wish I could go now, just to help irritate the fash
-
I'd go up on Wednesday myself, but all this anarchist lot are a bit far out for me...shame I was working on Saturday, or I would have gone along with the trade union chaps or something like that.
-
I was having a kip up until I went to work at 9:45, so I inadvertantly took part without knowing it
-
I was wrong hard luck son, better luck next time.
-
Indeed.
