  1. Bloody daft to go to a prostitute in England anyway, just do it on holiday.
  2. Oh, the poor dear lamb.
  3. By which I mean Saturday, lol.
  4. So basically no, there wasn't any trouble today.
  5. Yeah 95 I think, one of my first away games and still one of the best. NANANANA, NANANANA, HEY-EY-EY, MICKY EVANS
  6. Morecambe, 'ere we come Morecambe Morecambe 'ere we come
  7. On a sort-of related note, Morecambe are to become the first League club to build a new ground with standing areas - 5,000 out of 7,000 places as well! - http://www.fsf.org.uk/news/Morecambe-to-introduce-safe-standing-at-new-stadium.php?id= Big news for the standing lobby, even if it's only a little Fourth Division club like Morecambe. Hopefully this is the start of a trend.
  8. Haha, me an' all.
  9. Unofficially the stewards in the Northam have pretty much allowed standing for the last few years. They usually make one or two half-hearted sweeps until the crowd stands again at the next moment of excitement, then occupy themselves with more important things. It works pretty well as far as I can see, although I'm quite far back in row GG and have never spent a whole game sitting since SMS opened. I'm quite thankful that we generally have pretty fair-minded stewards who don't want to cause unnecessary trouble enforcing the bullsh*t enforced sitting policy, instead of the shaved-head-and-earpiece bouncer types itching to wade into football fans that you get at some places.
  10. Indeed. Also, if we score we could chant "Pompey, what's the score". Got to score first, mind
  11. As I recall, someone in a passing car chucked a rock at one of the kids. Kind of disappointing really, a casual perusal of the comments on pretty much any YouTube video ever created had led me to believe that any mild disagreement with an American would lead to them kikin ur limey fagget euro ass (sic). Also, I don't know what's more depressing, this thread or it's subject matter. I mean, f*cking hell...
  12. If it was the Chapel end that became a standing area then at least 80% of the standing fans in the Northam and Itchen would go there without a doubt - the remaining 20% would be people up the back by the away fans, who want to "give it large" to them rather than just stand, sing etc. but it would effectively eliminate the problem whilst improving the atmosphere. No-one has ever gone to a game for the purpose of standing in front of someone who wants to sit and ****ing them off; if given the choice This situation is entirely the fault of the Football Licensing Authority. Since the late 90s they've spouted their painfully nonsensical "domino effect" theory, as the number of fans who choose to stand increases year on year, and now they've got themselves into a corner and can't admit that the reasons they gave for not considering standing areas were bullsh*t. So the same daft impasse goes on - standing fans get incessantly harrassed and threatened, even though it's impossible to make everyone sit down without causing trouble for no good reason; sitting fans in areas where fans are standing have to put up with having their view blocked; the stewards themselves (a small number of whom enjoy bullying people but who are mostly decent blokes just doing their jobs) are spending vast amounts of time engaged with enforcing this stupid rule rather than watching out for anything that could actually cause any harm. The fact that the problem could be solved anytime the authorities feel like it is what makes it the most frustrating.
  13. My current computer's too ****e for Medieval II to work properly, so not much chance of this doing so. Damn shame, they're my favourite series of games ever. One day...
  14. What Stu and aintforever said. Not as if there's a lack of space to move around these days, is it?
  15. For journalists, the sad irony of it makes it a better story. Chap survives the Taliban's snipers and roadside bombs without a scratch (I presume, he could have been in the cookhouse or something) then comes home, gets involved in some daft common or garden bullsh*t in a pub, and ends up in a coma. Hope he's OK.
  16. That lot? Bah, don't get me started on those sausage-munching bastards.
  17. I don't know what country you gaiz are talking about
  18. Harriet Harman must have gone f*cking barmy, threatening to change the law so Fredders will have to hand his pension back Quite good actually, as it should mean that the horrible cow gets sent into the wilderness and someone better takes her place

  20. The Thatcherite era is drawing to a close; its laissez-faire capitalism leads to massive inequalities during the upturn and f*cks everybody on the downturn, just as it did in the 20s and 30s. I would be happy, but it's yet to be seen what direction politics will take now.

  23. So, what, AIDS only affects commies?
  24. Kind of predictable, what with building a 27,000-seat stadium for 3,000 fans.
  25. She's a maverick, but I like her style.
