Leeds are doing crap at the moment and may not even make the third division playoffs. Support is still excellent by all accounts, however. Good vocal support's good fun to provide and can spur players on, but it simply can't make sh*t players into good players.

Not to defend the post-1994 Labour party, but better regulation would just have resulted in it being labelled "socialist", losing the influence of its new pals in the City and very likely not getting elected in 2001 or 2005. Anyone who tried to spoil the party would be committing political suicide by going against the wishes of the majority of people, who disliked the government and disagreed with them on most issues but believed that they'd done a fantastic job economically right up until 2007/8. There were a few people around with enough nous to see that it couldn't last, but the average person in the street just saw the Mercs floating about in quite ordinary streets and the house prices going up and up and up, and came to the justifiable conclusion that fiscally speaking, everything was great.

TBF most people are apprehensive of snow and drive sensibly but there's still some nutjobs about. Was doing 40-50 on the A2, big heaps of ice and slush all over the road and this bloke starts tailgating me IN A F*CKING LORRY. Mind you, it was one of those car-transporter things and they're all driven by psychopaths.

I was certainly taken aback, about 5pm there was a little sprinkling on the ground from before, by the time I'd had a little snooze before leaving for work at 9:45 there was a good 2-3 inches on the ground. Sharing the roads with nutjob Londoners in a blizzard and then going back along the snowed under motorway will be interesting, good thing they make us tough in Invicta

Fri - Went out in Camden, got drunk and copped off with a bit of a monster from West Hampstead Sat - No Saints, Maidstone game called off. Boring. Went round mates' house, watched Trainspotting and Carlito's Way, top films Sun - Roast dinner at parents, went to a quiz. Came third. 7/10, it's kind of good without any football teams to make you miserable tbh.
