Yeah, absolutely - they're doing the correct thing. The most likely scenario is we go down though as we were never able to compete this season when our spine was on loan (as I have repeated as nauseum since last September).
-
It depends if that country is happy to take them all - if they aren't then no, they're not, they're refugees.
-
We need more schools, more hospitals, more doctors and more housing to deal with the mess the Tories have left us in. Once that is done we will be able to expand again - we shouldn't be constantly chasing our tails. Foresight, planning and a coherent strategy is needed.
-
But that would mean all Asylum seekers would only be able to reside in the first safe country next to them. How's that fair?
-
Loans will only happen at the end of the window when clubs realise no one wants the player permanently.
-
No, I agree - it's sensible and the correct thing to do.
-
You have to plan for relegation though - I think the point is they've planned for both in a single strategy.
-
It's more about whether we would have to sell them - we have young-ish players with longer contracts. It would be PSR that dictates what we need to sell I would expect.
-
So are you saying that O'Riley should cost £600m??? Using those cost ratios it seems so.
-
Well be out of the 3 year window of the £100-200m that fucked us. We need to keep spending low and yoyo with few sales for it to work. As I have continually said for the past 18 months.

But they're very different in relation to the process of how to apply, the type of Visa's awarded, rights on entry etc. They can't really be placed into one large pot as such.
-
Yep, costs need to go up if we want to improve provision of care. Less available for inheritance, but you want something good you have to pay for it.

Tbh, part 3 is assuming that these workers all go into those industries, which is untrue. I think the option is to remove immigration for all non-essential public services until we have the infrastructure to deal with it, alongside forcing some sort of apprenticeships in various low-populated industries for UK residents (manual trades which we are low on since Brexit). Bursaries should then be offered for nursing for UK residents, but with a tie in at the end of the qualification, and then a new minimum wage for care staff that doesn't follow the national minimum wage but tracks above it.
-
Are you talking normal migration or asylum seekers? Again, as said previously on the thread, the infrastructure should be in place before people come over, but we have been so far behind on housing targets, investment in schools and NHS that the issue is now out of control. The problem is we drastically need doctors, nurses and careworkers, jobs that people in the UK don't want to fill.

This made me chuckle. https://www.instagram.com/ukfactcheckpolitics/reel/C-VRWnWoMCV/?igsh=MW1rZ3M5Nms4N2M1dA==

But where would you play him? Ahead of AA or BBD? He's not a striker.
-
It depends - a lot of people will want to due to having family here, or due to being able to speak the language. Dont forget that the UK took in approximately 7% of all Asylum seekers to the EU last year, and a fifth of those that went to Germany, for example.

So, seems I have been mistaken for Turkish by @egg. Is it common for people to have multiple logins?
-
Really, how? How do you apply if you are in genuine danger?
-
Sounds legit.

Seems to be a lot of questions on immgration coming in that are being knocked out the park here. Let's talk about that racist fuckwit Tommy Robinson. Found it very funny when he complained about the Daily Mail giving his hotel out.
-
I would pay much attention because they're predictions from ex-footballers and have no bearing on our season whatsoever.
-
I can't make it due to being abroad on transfer business - @TurkishI know you were meant to be on the panel as representative of the CoT - I'm assuming the leads you had have come in so you had to turn down the invitation and concentrate on that?
-
We will drop hints if something is in the works - that's the agreement we have with our sources. At the moment there is nothing concrete, but the transfer window has not closed yet and we very rarely get all business doe in time for the start of the season (and what is essentially a dead rubber away at the Toon).

I'll remind him. I want my apology.
