  1. Apologies, phone went kaput on Monday morning and been waiting for my new one to be delivered - however it is quite liberating not having a phone. I would recommend it. Spoke to my friend this morning - the one that told me that Martin was on his way out - reason is that SR have been putting out the feelers for a few Managers, including Potter. However, still a lot of skepticism from Potter on Monday (although that may have changed now with the England news). Sacking Martin will only take place if there is someone interested/ready to come in, apparently.
  2. All 4 of those, and Fonte, would walk into our team. Clyne would too, as would Jay Rodriguez and Gaston. Probably Yoshida too. In fact I think we'd probably keep Ramsdale, KWP at LB, and Downes. Maybe Dibling too. However, the spine of Fonte, Schneiderlin, Lallana and Lambert are miles ahead of what we have.
  3. Potter is not interested, and is not that good.
  4. Absolutely, and the Hughes we had was on his way down, very clearly. If not why did he not get a job for 4 years after he left us, and then went to League 2? He didn't retire. The Hughes we had was not the Hughes that CB Fry seems to think he was.
  5. That's weird, cos I could swear you just said this: Surely if that's your opinion he'd be an upgrade? Also, no need to get your knickers in such a twist - behave like an adult.
  6. Cousins is bang average - don't start with that shit.
  7. I think there is a lot of respect in the building for Martin, and appreciation for what he has done and the person he is. But let's see.
  8. He did earlier in his career for sure, but like Mourinho, that type of football is dead and has been for a long time. Where did he go to after us, pray tell? Oh yeah, he couldn't buy a job and ended up at Bradford for a season, four years later, and was sacked from there in that first season (18th in League 2). But yeah, let's bring him back in as he's demonstrably better than Martin. Anyone thinking you can compare early career Mark Hughes to the one we had is a fucking idiot.
  9. There is no way Martin is worse than those 3, I know there is a lot of hate for Martin but I think that's pretty ridiculous. Jones had a far more talented team than he did, and Hughes and Selles are useless. If we bring in someone like that we will be in far worse shape as our players are bought to play a specific way.
  10. I would say Jones, Selles and Hughes are worse. That's the history of our mid-season replacements.
  11. I'll find out more tomorrow, but very quiet on that front ATM.
  12. That is completely untrue though, we could definitely get worse. I don't think it matters as he's done, but I'm not hopeful of who we'll bring in.
  13. Yep, on his way I believe, is being given the Charity match but then is out...will find out more tomorrow.
  14. 👍
  15. The football was pretty poor Nick - people down here were glad to see him go and certainly didn't want him back when De Zerbi left.
  16. Ah, so I should see it as a positive thing then - that I'm doing something right. Cheers!
  17. Absolutely - he's not the teaboy by any stretch but agree, we may be able to buy our way into their thoughts. However, I think we'll be sacking too early if we sack now as both Moyes and Potter will bide their time. The issue is we do pay people to make those decisions, but those people have appointed Jones, Selles and Martin as the last 3 Managers. I was just asking outside of those two above who realistically you would want in to take over.
  18. Bit awkward...
  19. Who's this @tdmickey3 character? Seems to be following me around the forum like a bad smell? Is he the same person as @Kermitzasaint as they both seem to be following me, but we all know Kermit cos his wife's been shagging RM.
  20. I get that, I'm not disagreeing, but come up with a solution - unless you're proposing having no manager for the remainder of the season.
  21. May be worth a go, but feels a bit too much a risk considering he's never managed in a top division. We've already got a Championship quality manager, not sure it's worth risking another one.
  22. No.
  23. It's a fact - I heard from my best man who happens to work for Wassermans (hence why I know about Moyes as well).
  24. But I think this is the problem with society nowadays - people are problem makers not problem solvers - so who should we bring in? I don't think I've seen a realistic good option (a top division Manager, or at least one with some PL experience).
