  1. Agreed, Blur were far superior in every way. Preferred OCS as well TBF.
  2. Clearly wasn't, as I called you out on it...
  3. I was being sarcastic. Clearly lost on you.
  4. Calm yourself, it's pre-season FFS.
  5. I thought all the howlers were due to Martin's tactics?
  6. A lot were the same team that got promoted under RM though, and quite a few of them got relegated nearly as pathetically the year before that.
  7. As I've been told, unless one of these teams is utterly desperate, no PL team is interested in Ramsdale. PL clubs do not seem to rate him. I think he will have to go abroad on loan, which means we'll have to pony up a lot of his wages as well. Not an ideal situation.
  8. Who'd have thought, with all the shit that we gave him when he was here, that the answer to any question about us being a better team would be Che fucking Adams.
  9. I think Archer is the embodiment of a clinical striker ie. a great finisher.
  10. We're no worse now (in fact I would say we're far better) than the team we had under Martin, and he managed to get us promoted.
  11. I'm giving you the reasons that PL clubs aren't interested in signing him, that's all.
  12. Rock in peace Iron Man, you were one of the greatest. So pleased he got to do his gig in Birmingham, he must have been holding on for that one.
  13. This is not my opinion, this is what I have been told, and I'm sure those clubs have had people, with a better eye than you or me, watching him.
  14. It's fine - it's come from someone that works with PL clubs day in, day out, but as is the arrogance of football fans (not just Saints), they know better than PL teams.

    Israel

@sadoldgitSo I am the only one that has mentioned wincing so I presume you are referring to me - have you actually read my posts about Israel? If not, here is a flavour.
  16. That's fine, I get all of that, it's just what I've been told.
  17. You notice it's only the promoted teams interested. PL teams think he's too erratic to be a decent PL GK. TBF, he wasn't great for us last season - too many lapses in concentration. Brilliant shot-stopper - one of the best, but the rest is lacking.
  18. That's fine, but make sure you read and interpret my post correctly.
  19. Exactly đź’Ż There was a good reason that Kompany did not want to purchase THB.
  20. I will continue to say, and you guys can believe me or not, but clubs aren't interested in Dibling anywhere near the price we want. His sojourn to Chelsea has flashed up too many red flags. He will still be owned by Southampton next year.
  21. I am not a fan of THB, and I have made that very clear over the last year. I was also not bothered about KWP leaving. Bednarek needs to fuck off, as does ABK. Stephens needs to go but wont, as does Baz and McCarthy. Defence has been a problem since Hass was here, and all of these players have contributed to that. Fucking losers the lot of them.
  22. I don't know, I'm taking this from what previous posters have said.

    Israel

'Suffering of civilians in Gaza has reached new depths': 26 nations call for immediate end to war in Gaza We've just had a statement from the UK and more than 20 other countries calling for an immediate end to the war in Gaza. Here's the statement from the UK Foreign Office in full: We, the signatories listed below, come together with a simple, urgent message: the war in Gaza must end now. The suffering of civilians in Gaza has reached new depths. The Israeli government’s aid delivery model is dangerous, fuels instability and deprives Gazans of human dignity. We condemn the drip feeding of aid and the inhumane killing of civilians, including children, seeking to meet their most basic needs of water and food. It is horrifying that over 800 Palestinians have been killed while seeking aid. The Israeli government’s denial of essential humanitarian assistance to the civilian population is unacceptable. Israel must comply with its obligations under international humanitarian law. The hostages cruelly held captive by Hamas since 7 October 2023 continue to suffer terribly. We condemn their continued detention and call for their immediate and unconditional release. A negotiated ceasefire offers the best hope of bringing them home and ending the agony of their families. We call on the Israeli government to immediately lift restrictions on the flow of aid and to urgently enable the UN and humanitarian NGOs [non-governmental organisations] to do their life-saving work safely and effectively. We call on all parties to protect civilians and uphold the obligations of international humanitarian law. Proposals to remove the Palestinian population into a “humanitarian city” are completely unacceptable. Permanent forced displacement is a violation of international humanitarian law. We strongly oppose any steps towards territorial or demographic change in the occupied Palestinian territories. The E1 settlement plan announced by Israel’s civil administration, if implemented, would divide a Palestinian state in two, marking a flagrant breach of international law and critically undermine the two-state solution. Meanwhile, settlement building across the West Bank including east Jerusalem has accelerated while settler violence against Palestinians has soared. This must stop. We urge the parties and the international community to unite in a common effort to bring this terrible conflict to an end, through an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire. Further bloodshed serves no purpose. We reaffirm our complete support to the efforts of the US, Qatar and Egypt to achieve this. We are prepared to take further action to support an immediate ceasefire and a political pathway to security and peace for Israelis, Palestinians and the entire region. This statement has been signed by: The foreign ministers of Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK. Plus the EU commissioner for equality, preparedness and crisis management." Let's wait for Netanyahu to call them anti-Semitic. There needs to be an intervention, maybe military, to stop this. I don't support war, or unnecessary killings, but I would support the removal of the heads of the Israeli Government. It really takes a lot to suffer the way the Israeli's did and still come out of this looking like cunts. Slow clap to all of those involved.
  24. Ah yes, they sold the women's team recently, apologies. They have also got "the Barn" that they will sell as well. It's a fucking con.
